most cars. . will if in a turn, and already loaded up with cornering force.. will oversteer if you let off the gas. my wrx will certainly.. even in dirt.. it is so front heavy and so tall.. when you push her hard. and let off you best be ready to catch it.

You can start in the amateur class... unfortunately FWD cars only until you get up to the higher classes. Check SCCA and Rally America for more details.

I don't get why US rallying isn't much, much bigger than it is. The US has every type of terrain, in the UK the choice is mud, gravel, slime or a disused airfield. The regulations are more liberal, look at the variety of cars. It has the potential to be the type of series rally fans dream of.

nono you can see he used a canon 7D or a 5D in some shots because of the terrible jello (rolling shutter) effect

In another post they said they were using sony camcorders. I almost never get rolling shutter in my 7D if I use the right settings (1080p/24fps 1/50th a sec shutter speed).

It seems RS is also a problem with many of the newer camcorders (even pro units). Just do a youtube search for some examples.
