I checked my email and it was 50 lbs of dry rock. I maybe didnt use 5 lbs and another 5 or so went into my fuge. So approximately 40 lbs in my display. But keep in mind it was dry rock and if I bought it live it probably would have weighed more.
hey i have a good question what is total volume of water an the amount of gfo an carbon in the reactor. an water changes how often and how much plus feeding thanks
It is really hard for me to determine the water volume with live rock and sand displacement. The tank itself is a 40 breeder and I would say the sump holds anothe 15 gallons. I use roughly 7 tablespoons of GFO in a reactor and 5 tablespoons of Rox 0.8 carbon in a mesh bag. I change 5 gallons of water weekly. Feed pellets daily and nori and frozen food twice a week. Also use a doser to add calc, mag, and alk.
I dont have too much knowledge with metal halides. You may be able to get it to spread enough for 36 inches. What do you plan on keeping? You might also want to consider a 4 or 6 bulb T5 fixture.
Thanks!! I really appreciate it! Equipment is a 6 bulb Sunpower T5 fixture, mp40 & mp10, Vertex IN 100 skimmer, and Eheim return pump. Just using carbon in a mesh bag and GFO in a reactor.
Beautiful tank. Lemme guess...shot the video with a DSLR? Very well done. Also, I haven't heard this song in forever!

do you think 1 175 watt iwaki 15k bulb magnetic driven with lumen bright reflectors will be enough for my 4o breeder?
