Stadium arcadium was ok, but it had too much filler and AK's lyrics got really tiring IMO. Maybe Klinghoffer can bring some new stuff to the table, I mean this band has made great albums with all 3 guitarists (I don't count jack sherman). There is a difference:

John replaced Hillel since he was the Peppers number one fan at the time of Hillel's death (also a good friend of theirs), however John brought his own fresh air of creativity and signature style.

Indeed people should not be upset since this is John's choice but if you've done your homework on this glorious epic band, you will know that the best times were with JF.

Either way, yes people are harsh on on hot minute. The reason is simple: it's darker
