Thank you, Vegas, for uploading the last few episodes. At the time, I missed most of them, and it's great I got to see them on YouTube. THANKS, once again!
I will forever be grateful for this show, the people who created it, the people who produced, and kept it on the air...all of you who brought the detectives of the 15th squad into our homes. There will never be another program that will do for the spirit of NY, what this show did. I tip my hat too all involved...and a special thanks to Dennis Franz...for bringing Andy Sipowicz into our lives.....
I'll just say this, I watched and recorded this show every week for eight years and I never saw the end, until now. Saw a few of the episodes from the last season, (including THAT ONE with Charlotte Ross!) and I can honestly say I am so proud to be a former fan of this show. Deep characters, moving music, amazing opening, everything. Thanks so much to Steve Bochco. Scuse me, I'm filling up again.
To Steven Bochco, and ALL the executive producers who brought us "NYPD BLUE"! 'THANK YOU! You have touched so many lives by bringing us this wonderful show! I know 'Bobby Simone' would have been proud of Andy! Again, thank you so, so much! " BEST DAMN SHOW EVER"!
I remember Denis Franz as Norman Bunse in Hil street Blues didn't like him at first but his character won me over. When NYPD Blue started I loved it from day one to the last ever episode. It was & is without doubt the greatest show of all time. Even now watching the end of this episode or when Andycomes down the stairs to applause brings a tear to my eye it is simply superb and never bettered. I have given up on ever getting seasons 5 - 12 on dvd how sad.
Thank you from the very depths of my soul for NYPD Blue. I've been a fan since the very first episode and never looked back. The show with it's cast was to me, will always be, pure magic in every sense. The writing was just out of this world. For me, no other show will compete with the greatness that is NYPD Blue.
NYPD Blue is a better cop show than Rookie Blue, Blue Bloods or the TLC reality cop show Police Women of Cincinnati because reality and scripted cop dramas are lame today especially Police Women of Cincinnati because no other cop shows reality or scripted can't match the talent, greatness and emotion that NYPD Blue was.
I think John had a little crushy-wushy on Lt. Bale. What I liked about this ending was precisely what others have pointed out: it felt like the show could just keep running forever after this... people will come and go but NYC and the 15th will keep going as long as society remains unchanged. Very, very cool. And a great farewell to Andy.
Unfortunately for NYPD Blue it's being slowly replaced by shows like The Bachelor, Dancing With The Stars and the Canadian cop drama Rookie Blue. this is absolute unfortunate and no ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX or cable shows like Lifetime's Army Wives or MTV's The Real World and other reality or scripted can't match the unforgettable and terrific show that NYPD Blue was.
what an ending !! I just gotten the first 2 seasons on dvd and seeing where andy was in the pilot to where he ended up .. well awesome . First of the last to me was when det kelly left and when bobby died
Thank you so much for posting this...Sadly, to think that great shows like NYPD Blue are slowly being replaced by "The Bachelorette" and alike. This kind of televison is dying. We are losing it slowly...but we are losing it...
Great ending. I actually missed the last mintue of panning out when I taped it because the clock on my VCR was a minute or two fast.
While a part of me wishes they could have brought back a few familiar faces like they did later with ER and LOST, I know that NYPD Blue wasn't really that kind of show (besides which, we did get a Jimmy Smits cameo earlier in the season).
Better to have Andy become the new boss. He'd been taking care of the squad for a long time, so why not make it official?
I liked the ending for one reason... It made me feel like that Andy Sipowicz was still on the job and everything was going to be ok....as far as I'm concerned...Dennis Franz did such an excellent job with his portrayal of this man...he became real to me...and as far as Im concerned...Andy IS real...and is still catching badguys in NYC today....gives me a warm feeling to know that.....I LOVED the show...best drama EVER.
I knew I had to watch this episode today, it's been 5 years already since SADLY NYPD Blue went off the air & oh all the things that have changed in my life BUT there's 1 thing I never mind doing & that's sitting down & watching an episode of my FAVORITE show EVER- NYPD Blue!
Wow - at long last I saw the end of this absolutely brilliant show. Thanks for uploading. In the UK they constantly moved the timing - just like they did with La Femma Nikita - and I wouldn't let anyone tell me the ending for Andy in case it ever came out on DVD. Brilliant! Giselle, UK
@kellyrogan1975 Maybe! But I wanted more. I allways thought the last eposide would have Andy retireing and as he took a last look around the squad room he would have seen all the people that have come and gone throughout the years.
yeah wen are they gonna release the other seasons on dvd...?ive been kinda hoping they wud release them all in a special boxset but noooooooooooooooo it doesnt seem to be bloody happening!!! sumone shud write to fox and tell them to a get a move on :)
Apparantly it's because of a petty/bitter issue between Fox and Bocho, so they make the fans suffer for it by not releasing the DVD's figure that one out.
@duff007 You dont think that ending was a loose end? There was no ending that was the problem. If you had turned on that episode and not known that was the last episode you would have thought it was just another episode and waited for scenes for next weeks episode. Not the way I felt it should have ended.
wish 5 to 12 on dvd
