Agreed. We need economic answers if we are going to curb the shark poaching problem. Villifying anyone will not change current trends. What we can do is 1) Use our cameras to stand witness to current practices and 2) try to brainstorm economic alternatives for fishermen currently practicing poaching and finning.

I'm happy to see people from so many different country cooperating for a nobel effort like protecting the oceans.

If they and others contunue like that it is still possible to save the sharks there.

I would like to join the people on the boat to support them but unfortunately since I still go to school I dont have the time or the mony to travel arround the whole world.

The whole reason these protective areas were needed in the first place is because US and Europe killed and ate all the great fisheries of the world decimating populations and driving species to extinction. Villifying these poachers from third world countries is ignorant and more importantly steers us away from resolution.
