Great european specs van, that's what we have here in europe too, aswell with huge Transits that also have the 2.0 engine, kind of slow 0-60 but i don't care.
The small 2.0 with the FWD offers great economy and makes you jealous no RWD,what else can i say? They are just too great and pretty!!!
Although Ford could put one of their 2.0 Turbo engines on it and make it a little bit more eager to breath when you touch the acceleration pedal.
Get one and turn it into a love wagon. Complete with a disco ball, large speakers to play funk music, and shag carpeting. You'd need to atleast turbocharge it if you plan on adding that waterbed.
@bg1379 The aim is still a full review of every vehicle that rolls in the driveway. I have a backlog of tape on the desk. Post-production takes a significant amount of time and it's been snowballing ... I should have the Charger and Optima out next.
the concept is nice, like the features, mpg, seating, cargo, and all but i just cant see myself driving one of these. i mean i love the car but u get the point.
Isn't it the last generation Focus underneath it all? It seems like the power terrain needs some updating, but it's an interesting little hauler. I've seen quite a few of them around town being used commercially.
I wasn't sure about this vehicle at first but i think it would be great delivery van in urban where high speed and acceleration aren't a huge issue.(A hybrid version would make this an absolute winner in that segment.)
@Motorchevytoyota Ford ain't bad at all, ever since they imported cars from Europe, they've been getting good ratings from automotive journalists! Toyota and Chev however, have been getting bad reviews.
@talldude123 Where has Chevy been getting bad review on any models released in the lats 3-4 years? The Camaro, Cruze, Sonic, Regal, LaCrosse, and the Volt among others are all highly praised cars. The LaCrosse is still considered a rather viable option to the Lexus ES, and when it was first release nearly 3 years ago it simply smashed it in comparisons.
@talldude123 Price yes.... quality.... sometimes. Hyundai has already started to fumble in initial quality tests and reliability. Also their FE is overstated, most people never see anywhere close to 40 MPG on the highway in their Elantras, and the Sonata Hybrid is a waste of money, you get FE just as good in the GLS model.
@Motorchevytoyota They certainly wouldn't be as fuel efficient as this van, and wait a few years...I'm sure Ford will put in a V6, turbo i4, or at least a 6-speed auto.
Very nice alternative to the Sprinter. That turbo diesel option if it existed would make this a pretty fun drive as far as cargo haulers go. I'd need that since a 130-140hp goes through a life and death struggle on steeper inclines where I live lol.
This is my "daily driver" work vehicle, most of all the mail trucks here are transit connects with "omg" 75 diesel hp... lol, but they are by far the best small vans out there along with the VW Caddy. I wish mine had 4wd tough cause they are crap in the winter time with 2wd especially with lots of mail and stuff in the cargo room.
Btw there is a TurboDiesel version with smaller displacement but more torque in EU,not sure about US.

What a strange way to open the hood, reminds me of an 88 caprice trunk...

This vehicle is essentially designed for those who run a small business. Now, if you don't have the luxury to get a big truck or van; this'll do.

@flatblackstrat The best automobile so far is Hyundai in general. Low price, great fuel economy, and great overall quality.

@Ho0di It only seats 5, however, it's roomier than a sedan inside, you could fit a family inside, with enough groceries for a month!

@juozazole Because of the emissions it produces. That's why there are very select few diesels on the road!
