This is your own rendition of Equinox and I find it pretty awesome. Jazz is about creating your own voice, not just copying it. And you guys, succeed in creating your own voice, so much needed in nowadays music...
hello man, I think this is a great interpretation of 'Equinox', but most importantly Its your Interpretation of the piece. If your satisfied you did your best thats all that matters! so continue to do your thing and the tone quality is fine to me. Some people
like "MasterThief1324" need to listen to different types of music and how different people interpret it . NOT everyone is gonna like what they hear but it how you felt the song to be played.
@Torradadd I don't need to listen to anything I don't like and that includes other people's interpretations.
Unless you have documented proof that I don't watch other people's "covers", I would suggest that you not accuse the first critic you see in the comment section. There are no grounds to argue that I am a bigot.
@vertox86 These guys are actually really good musicians, they just like to mess around a bit. Maybe they should start an "Igudesman and Joo" kind of thing...nonetheless, they go into a more traditional interpretation of the tune at the end, so I don't see any need to complain about it on your part.
@vertox86 Ever played jazz that comes from the soul, not from a piece of paper? Ever played music to express yourself? Ever heard that music is always open for interpretation? Evidently not. Troll.
You're entitled to your own rendition. What that critic meant was that your piece, although great in your opinion and probably to many others, was but a copy of the Mona Lisa.
By the way Albert Enstein said that genius was "10% inspiration and 90% prespiration" and he's probably correct.
The rhythm was a bit of but I could still hear many similar features. I applaud the originality but I can't say it was as striking as the original performance.
@MasterThief1324 Fair enough. I can't say I would expect something we hadn't practiced ever before to be as striking as the original performance. It's not a competition. Just sharing the music for what it is.
@TheBadassRA You are welcome!!!

Two questions:
1) Where is the Sax-player runnin in the beginnin? Really had to laugh ;-)
2) Is that Metallica - No Leaf Clover at around 0:54??
Nice Interpretation by the way :-)
