You're saying you dislike Captain America because of the "War on Terror" the US started. But Captain America is a representation of the American people, a patriotic symbol of the country, not its policies.

That's why during the Civil War, he fought against Tony Stark because Stark was fighting for the bureaucrats and their politics. Superheroes hide their identity because they have much to lose. Politicians have their politics to protect them.

Back to the main topic at hand, wars are fought by politicians. Soldiers unfortunately are asked to follow their orders, whether they like it or not.

Respect goes out to all who serve in the military. It's a tough spot to be in. But let's not mix the politics of a country with the country itself. American troops and the American government lead that charge of "War on Terror". America didn't do it.
