  • This song is great and I've never heard it before. Can anyone recommend other videos with this song? I love it!!!

  • All rise for youtube's national athem

  • Seriously, FUCK YOU for using THIS SONG.

  • ty very nice

  • This song again?

  • i hate this song

  • Man, I love this audio track, like where can I get it? I mean the original. Or the person that made it........ .... ... .. .

  • This music sucks dick.

  • Love the video, Disliking for the sellout music

  • look for soder wick dipped in rosin flux. It's expensive but works! Braid without flux needs too much heating which can damage the board!

  • how much watt soldering is that

  • @prence1725 From that video, I was using 25W

  • the wick gets hot :P owie

  • I just replaced a capacitor for the first time and I couldn't get the braid to soak up the solder at all....until I put some flux on the braid.

  • @cmc2234 Add more heat..

  • @cmc2234 Some new solder will loosen up hardened old solder. Maybe not so common on circuits, but in older applications, what you've found is standard practice. :)

  • Very nice.

  • nice vid. thanks

  • I cant get a power jack off this girls laptob mb... Its driving me crazy. Its like blades through the pcb and it looks like ive gotten all or most of the solder that will come out but it wont budge!@!

  • @tt2ent your iron isn't powerfull. use hot air smd rework station

since 2007 solder became all lead free which is difficult to remove with soldering iron

  • this never works for me

I tried using a 15 watt and a 30 watt iron with poor results

its been completely useless with desoldering pins from a pcb

and in controlled pratice where i just put a glob of solder on the table and tried to suck it up it takes at least a 40 seconds for it to begin to do anything and ends up sticking but if i apply the iron directly it melts instantly

  • @CVRipley 30w should be sufficient. also if you tip is dirty, it will take too long for it to heat up the braid... you can also get tip tinner/cleaner... that will help transfer the heat to braid better..

  • @seanyiya I bought another new 30 watt iron and it works much better. I was shocked with the results. this time i used a tip cleaner and tinner solution instead of just solder to tin it. I think some solders are so cheap that the impurities in it scorch on the tip. i mean i tinned the others with some solder that turned the whole tip jet black in seconds that would not clean off. Thanks

  • @CVRipley Glad that it helped out..

  • I lifted a pad :(

  • What is the wattage of your soldering iron?

    Are you using maximum heat?

  • @fronkenpoop I was using 25w soldering iron...

    30w will work also..

  • @fronkenpoop If you beginner you should limited to 30W any higher will fry the circuit..

  • @fronkenpoop If you beginner you should limited to 30W any higher will fry the circuit..

  • @seanyiya oops i got 50w

  • @therocker33dc 30W should be sufficient, but 50W is just way too hot..

  • The braid smell like shit.

  • This was helpful. Thanks!

  • It seems to be When im gone - Eminem but in spanish ^^

  • Sounds like Korean to me...

  • What's the name/artist of the song in the background?

  • MC Sniper 4th album, forgot the title

  • Thanks. They sound alot like Bone Thugs N Harmony Mo Murda.

  • LMAOOO Yes Bone Thugs !

  • MC Sniper - Where Am I

    watch?v=A27UeVja6Ag&feature=related

  • fucking sick!!!!!!!!

  • Good vid- thanks for the demonstration.

  • seems to work much better with hotter irons.. if you're having problems try turning it up a bit.

  • I'd been fighting with trying to use desoldering braid, but the ironic thing is, I'm doing it exactly the same way as is done in the video. Tin the tip of the braid, try to use it to suck up the solder. Not only does it never get even nearly as clean as in this video (like by magic)... but it seems physically impossible to actually get the goddamn solder to pick up at ALL! It's hard enough to get it to melt, and when it does, it just leaves an indent of the braid. I loathe desoldering braid...

  • You probably need higher temperature soldering iron...

There are two types of soldering braid, regular one and lead-less braid..

  • How is that ironic? :S

Use a hotter iron, the thinner the solder the easier it'll flow up the braid.

  • Ok I must have been doing something wrong because it was not that easy for me...

  • Try using hotter soldering iron

  • whats the song neme and people that made it

  • It's by MC Sniper

    I forgot the song name..

  • i understnd when you said to some one else that to use the wick you apply it on the the solder then the iron but we are still having probums dose the tip sizes matter or maybe is the way you move the tip or wick we all do not get it all we are gonns say is this sucks pls help me also how to deal with parts that you desolder off and end up with little solder left and still holding the parts i main solder that dose not want to move haets up but dont want to move

  • Desoldering braid is cheap way to to, but if you want to make it easier, you'll have to use vaccum desoldering tool.

You might want to use hotter tip, if the solder doesn't get suck up by the braid that well..

Also try apply more soldering and try to suck it up with the braid...

  • The current braid from Radio Shack is junk.

  • You just don't know how to use it..

I've tried Radioshack and other brands, but they all work fine...

  • I've been soldering for over 20 years..While the radio shack brand will work it is not very good. They have changed it recently..The last one I got was not the same as previous ones.

  • I haven't used RadioShack brand for while now..

I've found cheaper one from somewhere else and been using those....

  • Did you know that your desolderng braid is more effective IF you 'open up' the braid a bit (see light through braid threads).

  • very nice you make it look so easy =D . the song is it Cho PD?

  • Thanks... It's from MC Sniper

  • thank you! also awesome song :D

  • Nice tip on how desoldering with out pump.

But if you want to use this methode or tip,

be prepare to have some yards of that material.

I like the desoldering pump better, fast and clean.

  • Desoldering braid is more for one time use or for little job...

If you are doing alot of desoldering.. pump is way to go...

  • Nice work (Y)

  • Hey, I have a 25w iron, and it came with different tips, pencil and chisel. Do you recommend using the chisel tip for desoldering? I found it's annoying to use pencil tip + desolder braid on pcb's.

  • Personally I like to use pencil tip (aka needle paint)

Since I deal with small SMD type alot....

    But it's personal preference..

  • How hot is your iron?

  • I use 25w soldering iron

  • What exactly is your method because I can't get mine to work. Are you applying the braid after you have heated the solder with the iron or are you applying the braid directly to the top of the solder point? I have tried to put the braid over the solder point but all that does is make the braid really hot. Please let me know what you are doing.

  • I've put the braid on top of the solder and then soldering tip to heat it..

It has to heat the braid and the solder at the same time..

If you get good contact with enough heat, braid will start absorbing the solder..

Apply little bit of soldering flux to aid the absorbtion on the braid...

You might not have enough heat..

From my experience, some braid works better some don't.. it seems to vary a little..

Also using smaller braid works better, but you have to use alot more then the bigger

  • Hey I can't find that MC Sniper song anywhere..what exactly is the name? You said it was song..but I don't see any tracks my MC Sniper called song. Let me know please..thaNKS

  • MC Sniper 4집 - 12 Where Am I?

  • where can i get extra LED's . i need one that i misplaced during an install from your kit...

  • What is the name brand, and store you purchased your braid at?

  • You can get it from any electronic parts store..

Radioshack, Fry's electronic... very easy to get hold of...

  • Yes, but I hear that the Radioshack one sucks and I am not sure about Fry's electronics. I have heard that Solderwick (TM) is a really good brand.

  • People who said suck because they don't know how to use it..

If you know how to use it, it works.. I've used Radioshack stuff and Fry's stuff.. both work....

  • I have been trying to use desoldering braid for a while and I couldn't get it to work. Then I watched this video and tried it exactly as demonstrated here. Voila! I can now desolder!

    Thanks!!!

  • Thanks....

  • Helps a lot. Thanks!

  • koo, whats that song that is playing?

  • It's song by MC Sniper

  • Ooo koo koo, thanks ^_^

  • i also want to no dose it matter if the flux you use is good brand or a bad brand

  • Flux usually don't matter...

  • Thanks! Very informative!
