Most of the people below me: You are wrong. You can easily buy them in America still. After the legislation that "banned flavored cigarettes" they were rebranded as "filtered cigars". All my local smoke shops sell them and even the Sunoco down the road from em sells them.

I used to be all about djarum blacks but my local tobacco store owner advised me to try out International 555 cigarettes and it was the best recommendation ive had yet they taste better than any other domestic and burn longer than american spirits im not sure if its just hype but on the label they claim to use their own blend of tobacco called Epsilon-5

hey since these are banned now.... which sucks, Djarum came out with the replacement for these. they're still called blacks but the box says Filtered cigars and each pack has 12 i think. . Can you review these possibly? and maybe compare the 2. that would be awesome.

Blacks really suck compared to other blends made by Djarum. Blacks are basically just 95% Clove and 5% tobacco flavoring. Their Specials are much better, they have less clove but still enough to know you are smoking a Kretek. They are my favorite Djarum blend thus far. Also their menthols aren't too bad but the menthol flavor gets overpowering the closer to the filter you get.

Cloves are great, though you are totally right on not wanting to smoke them one after the other. If you're the type who smokes several cigarettes on a daily basis you'll want to get some cloves in addition to what you normally smoke, not replace. I've never coughed up blood, but I smoked about half a pack of these one night at a party and felt like I had the flu lol
