  • I TOOK A MONSTER DUMP TODAY :)

  • Thumbs up if you came here from searching 'The Young Turds'

  • Thank you for watching this hilariously interesting topic with closed captioning proudly provided by the Young Turds.

  • @bAmpersand still doesnt make it good art if that was his intention lol its just lame blow up dog shit...

  • perhaps he was trying to say that modern art is dog shit.

  • if this passes for art and culture nowdays, fuck it, someone give me a gun.

  • the shithawks are flying low

  • TYFT -- The Young Flying Turds... I like it!!! Sound like a dance show.

  • You don't understand art, don't talk about it.... That's ignorant....

  • lmao, "turd".

  • fuck you hater, The young turks are the shitttt

  • All of you previous posters are a bunch of inflated terds. This guy is right on the money. I am an artist fo a living nd even I am insulted by the fact that he tried to pull this off as art. If art means doing anything toget attention then yes it is art.

    PREACH ON YOUNG TURK

  • out of what holes people like you crawl out of. please go back.

  • There is context for every piece of art. if a gallery in switzerland wants to display something, it probably means there is a contextual background for the making of the piece, both within art history and the artsts career. just youtube some of his other work. treefucker for example. He makes really funny, sublime and surreal sculptures and performances. you said it yourself, you've never seen his art, so maybe hold of your opinions for something you actually know about, trashy politics?

  • The Tate Gallery in London would buy it. Now I can say "Art is Shit!".

  • Art is just another word for fun, joy, entertainment. Its the spoiled rich upper class that wants to see their kind of entertainment to be seperated from the middle and lower class' kind of fun. Therefore the different labels.

Other then that art serves the very same purpose as sitcoms or Disney World. And I guess a flying turd is very entertaining to watch.

  • 5. Did the dog turd experience The Rapture

    6. Was the dog Left Behind?

.. the answer is blowin' in the wind.

  • I also want an answer on point 5.

  • 1. Did the dog huff on a tank of helium?

    2. How big was that dog?

    3. How big of a s**t storm did it cause?

    4. Did Karl Rove have anything to do with it?

.. The answer my friends .. is blowin' in the Wind!

  • for a viewer, good art is art that speaks to the viewer. For a buyer, good art is something that has retail value and/or is controversial.

For an artist, good art is what keeps you from living under a bridge in a cardboard box.

It is very subjective. I see crap in museums that I was like, what is this, it looks like a preschooler threw a tantrum with a bottle of mustard. But right next to me is some student going hmmmmmm how profound.

  • Oh man, I just saw Steven Colbert do a "Threat Down" on this. There are still tears running down my face, cause I couldn't stop laughing. Had to see if there's any other news on that. And apparently there are. LOL

  • "Artist's shit" is a work of art by the Italian artist Piero Manzoni.

In 1961, he collected his own feces in 90 numbered cans. He labelled them "100% pure artist's shit" in Italian, English, French and German, and sold them. Their current estimated value is EUR30,500 each (US$25,000--35,000).

"Artist's shit" questions the meaning of art as both cultural and consumer objects by inviting the viewer to confront a system that venerates cans of shit as works of art.

  • "The S**T has hit the fan"

Figured I'd add that little number for everyone's enjoyment :0)

  • WTf?

  • I love how they show the guy's picture after saying "immense floating dog turd"

    hahahah!!

  • Art is simply our ability to create. We celebrate this innate quality which we're all capable of. Art doesn't have to be pretty, it doesn't have to ugly... It doesn't even have to be interesting. It's entirely up to the creative person to decide wether or not he or she accomplished what was sought after in creating their piece. The "what is art" question is a marketing question and always has been. But it tells nothing of the creative behind the work.

  • I hate modern art. If i could load all of these "artists" on a rocket ship and fire them off with a few others (Bush, Cheyney) into space.

    ADIOS!!!!!!

  • Can I come watch?

  • I thought only Cheney crapped that big.

  • No shit? He flung poo at houses? I guess the shit hit the fan!

  • You should see his chocolate Santa holding a butt plug. I think they were like 80 bucks each or something. There's a video on YouTube about it. He turned a gallery into this space to make these chocolate Santas with butt plugs. Yum!

  • Wow. Cenk sounds like a dreaded Republican (oh noes!) when he's questioning art. :-P

  • Why inflatable dogshit? It got you to talk about it, think about it, got you talking about what art is....

...where-as your shit, and mine for that matter, is not given equal time.

    lol

  • well yes its a dog turd but maybe the point was to be cynical and in that case i can respect it

  • I'm an art student and totally agree! Of course at itself is subjective, but creating an inflatable dog turd doesn't require creativity or skill, therefore I wouldn't say it's art. LOL

  • Sometimes dog shit is just dog shit.

  • he should continue that study & entitle his next piece "shit hits fan"

  • well why dont you enlighten us then??

  • Explain this giant turd thing then, sir.

  • so you understand the dog shit cause i would love to hear your explanation.

  • if you're so smart then why dont you explain it to us if "Cenk just dont understand things"

  • Art implies excellence, especially aesthetically (in other words, an expression of beauty). Somehow I don't quite think this hits the mark.

  • haha!i agree

  • LMFAO

Looks like the shit really DID hit the fan!!!!

  • I think you ONLY KNOW FAT ONE TOOTH FOLKS. EVRYONE REPORT THE FUNICATOR!

  • google it , then you can see the giant turd , partly deflated after it wreaked havoc , its as described

  • Shit Storm!!!

  • The picture of the artist ties this whole thing together.

  • Cenk, what were you doing at the whitehouse?

  • i wanted to see a pic or a vid not just a person talking about

  • i went to a museum of modern and they had this thing where someone just painted a straight line across the canvass

  • It is art.

It is symbolic of the Bush Adminstration. That it is inflatable is a reflection of the enormous amount of hot air and lies that constitute the worst presidency in our history

The artist knew it would explode and spread shit all over which in itself symbolizes the

damage done to our country and world by a disgusting little rich boy with a silver spoon stuck so far down his throat that the tip is poking out of his ass.

The shit blowing into houses represents talk radio pundits.

  • Of all the comments, this one makes the most sense...

  • oil painting is true art not this modern arts crap

  • That's a huge bitch.

  • A lot of these people use words to make people believe that the art is art. They talk about what the "artist means" or "what the artist is saying", etc. They have a right to stay in their own world and make thier art, as long as I don't have to pay for it.

  • Wh-what? I'm sorry but...

  • I don't get a lot of the modern art, either.

  • I allow some people think this is art, but I refuse to understand. About this, I am a close-minded Republican Christian right-winger.

  • yes, its art

art is anything that serves no other purpose than being art

  • when you sell it, it serves other purpose than being art. :-)

  • It's not art, but I bet more people would go see the giant dog turds than would go see some of that other so called "modern" art. It is ridiculous. I have personally seen modern art selling for hundreds of dollars that was nothing more than a few dots or lines on a piece of canvass! This is the biggest scam since televangelists.

  • HAAAhahhaha.. Hahahahahha hahah ah h ahhahahahahaahahahha.............

  • Really just shows what we are becoming.Oh my look over there its a hubcap on the road.Mom i think i am going to grab it,and put it in the frame so the boys from town can come and see it. I think we are getting more weird than god intended.Actually, probably not.He new stuff like this would happen.
