  • Ok these guys, with this music, ARE JUST TOO SEXY!!! sorry.

  • Comment removed

  • Isn't this similar to the irish river dance??

  • THIS IS TURKEY

    THIS IS TURKISH FOLK DANCE

    TURKISH HATERS GAYREEK PEOPLE,GOT IT?

  • @yklocnykl Umm... this sure is Turkish folk dance, but aren't you being a little rude? :x As a Turk I don't really hate Greeks, I respect people's opinions...

  • if greeks argue about the origin of things central asia and the orients keep everthing alive and in original texts

  • @TheScythnomad But the origin of these bagpipes (called the "gaida" in Bulgaria) is unknown, and is found throughout the entire region, not only in Turkey. If it was a uniquely Celtic instrument, we are left with the problem of why they were never found in either France or Germany, where the largest Celtic populations existed. Perhaps it speaks to seperate development in Turkey and, for example, Scotland, not any sort of tribal linkage.

  • @TheScythnomad Thank you for the links. As I don't know a word of Turkish, it is very difficult for me to find links like this, so, I've subscribed to your channel. I'm interested in finding a sort of "hawk dance" found in Anatolia. It seems to have spread to Greece as well as Bulgaria, but only in Turkey is it still done in groups of men. Certainly all the links you provided were 100% traditional Turkish dance- very different from above.

    Tom David

    Minneapolis

  • @TheScythnomad And who ever said the Celts, as a tribe, dance like this? Why don't they then also dance like this now in France and Germany, where there was the largest populations of Celts? You just don't know Western commercialism when you see it.

    Tom David

    Minneapolis

  • Turkish People wear clothes, which are very long and you can't see the face of them and If this is Folk Dance, why are they wearing clothes, where you can see stomach? :?

  • Show muhteşemdi. LoL :D

  • this is pure turkish dance...culture

  • Fuck all of you and your comments about racial origins. this clip is just music to enjoy

  • Why do everyone want be like a turk, but they can't so they steal the Turkish culture, habites,food,language,...

    hahaha

  • This isn't Turkish- it's a strange mixture of Irish and modern American nigger! but that's what sells tickets I guess in The New World Order.

    Tom David

    Minneapolis

  • @TomDavid88 Lol it's Turkish dance not irish...-__-

  • @lazchildren17 Bullshit! The Turks have NO tradition of line dance, nor holding their upper bodies erect. These are characteristics of Irish dancing. Turks have a tradition of circle dancing and hawk-like motions with their upper bodies.

    Tom David

    Minneapolis

  • @TomDavid88 Speak properly, You are bullshit and you don't know anything about Turkey stupid carrot head irish bullshit , it's Turkish dance it's all fuck you

  • @TomDavid88 Turks have many traditions, in my region (black sea) people do old their upper body's erect for certain folk dances. Like the "horon", you sir are very ignorant.

  • @3choBlaster The horo is a Greek dance, and all of Anatolia was Greek fro centuries, so, naturally you think of it as native Turkish. But what we have here is an example of Western commercialism. This Irish style dancing has sold well in the West so here it has been simply repackaged with an Eastern venier- and, no doubt, makes money.

    Tom David

    Minneapolis

  • @TomDavid88 You are jew it's normal you are jelouse about Turkey , dirty big nose dark skin jews , and you a bulgayrian , you don't know anything about Turkey stupid monkey

  • @lazchildren17 The only problem with your argument is that I'm NOT a Jew. Most people in the West with the last name "David" are, in fact, Welsch. And when I go to Bulgaria, I'm so light-skinned that people call me "The Snowman"!

    Tom David

    Minneapolis

  • @TomDavid88 lol eww snowman , you are a white cheese it's dirty

  • @TomDavid88 btw, I do not know if you are Irish or not .. but if we are to believe wiki (which I distrust 99% of the time) Irish Jigg and even the modern version river dance may have it's roots from the Horon .. so coming here and claiming that it isn't Turkish but it's Irish is the dumbest and most ignorant thing you can do.

  • @3choBlaster No, I'm not Irish. but I DO understand Western commercialism, and know it when I see it- something that you evidently do not!

    Tom David

    Minneapolis

  • @TomDavid88 First of all Sultans of dance is a dance group that dances traditional Anatolian and Turkic folk dances in new ways. No one is saying these are the dances in their original form. No one even claimed that. Instead you came here claiming this wasn't Turkish but Irish .. tell me sir, how many times have you been to Turkey? How much do you know of our culture? Now all of a sudden it's western commercialism which makes even less sense then the Irish comment. "that said I think SOD suck"

  • @3choBlaster The REAL question here is how much do YOU kjnow about Western commercialism and marketing. To ANY Western observer, this is clearly a rip off of the pseudo-Irish group "Lords of the Dance" which has made millions in the West pretending to do Irish dance. So, like a cheap movie knock-off, this group has been repackaged for "Eastern" consumption without much financial risk.

    Tom David

    Minneapolis

  • @TomDavid88 I study International Business and Management so I probably know a lot more than you'll ever know about both subject. There is no such thing as western commercialism. There is western "commerce" like coca cola etc in the east. But that isn't called "western commercialism" it's called globalization. And the products you now see in (especially of the west) in stores are the result of GLOBAL commerce, not Western or Eastern or American.

  • @3choBlaster Well, I have both a graduate degree from an American public policy institute PLUS 15 years of business experience, so I KNOW that this is a perfect example of Western commercialism. "Globalism" is only the "polite" word that our Globalist masters would like to propagate, but, in fact, it ALL originates from the modern West- NOT the East. The Eastern peoples are allowed only to be factory slaves in this "New World Order."

    Tom David

    Minneapolis

  • @TomDavid88 lol .. You base you're arguments on a conspiracy theory ... "VERY Convincing"

Sorry man but the new world order thing is getting a bit old. The only people profiting from this show are Turks how are they being used? How do they propagate western Ideals, morals or values, where is the commerce going or coming from the west?

Very disappointing sir I took you for someone serious.

  • @3choBlaster The idea of the New World Order is NOT a "conspiracy theory" but something that ANY American public policy professor will tell you is VERY real- it is the deliberate destruction of all traditional cultures which are to be replaced by a global shopping mall culture, such as exibited by this shitty group of "Turkish" dancers.

    Tom David

I like the music but I can't find it.

    Please help me .

  • i would of passed out

  • This IRISH step dancing!!!! This is not, no way Turkish. This has been IRISH and is still IRISH. I am not Irish but I grew up in an Irish community and most friends Irish. I am sure they will not like it that anyone stole their National dance.

  • Turks need to grow up and educate themselves about their heritage and culture. Do you even have a heritage? Where do you come from? Why do Turks always get defensive when it comes to history? Where did you get your land from? You have a very barbaric and a violent history! The world doesn't forget what you did to the Greeks and to the Armenians.

  • @ScooterYamaha ....İdiot and Moron ..I think you start to educate yourself

  • @brutallic100 I believe it's the other way around! You didn't even comprehend what I wrote.

  • Comment removed

  • @brutallic100 Your comments were deleted. As far as I'm concerned, you must accept your past. I'm not narrow minded nor ignorant, and I'm well informed about my history. Accept your past and admit to the atrocities committed by your ancestors. Furthermore, I'm also informed about your culture. Good luck on joining the European Union.

  • @ScooterYamaha we don't want this shit(eu)I accept my history ...Yes we defended ourselves from armenian .Yes we killed them for protected our people...This name is war .Do you know.We didn't use nuclear bomb on nagazaki or hiroshima...We fought with Armenian and Greek people. Indians were committing genocide by your people.Iraqis too have suffered by you etc etc.The name of the real killers and barbarians are the American soldiers, government and people not Turks .

  • @brutallic100 There is a difference between war and genocide. We were minorities living in our homeland ruled by your government. (The Ottoman Empire) Once we wanted representation in the government, and protection from predatory tribes, your ancestors didn’t like it and wanted us out of the way in order to create the Pan-Turanian Empire. If my grandfather were alive he would tell us both in detail what happened.

  • @brutallic100 As for the war in Iraq, I’m very against it. The Bush administration lied to the entire world to invade Iraq and twisted the facts to gain public support. War and genocides are never the answers to our problems, and there are absolutely no winners in wars. In case you’re not aware I’m Armenian.

  • @ScooterYamaha Russians and Armenians soldiers attacked us.When the the revolution in Russia ,you've escaped this land... i'm a circassian(muslim ossetian).we were exiled by the Russian Empire... Russians gave great support to your people at that time...When your people lost this war, Armenians burned our villages. (Circassian Villages,Turks Villages) Your people said this people are armenians. If my grandfather were alive he would tell us both in detail what happened too...

  • @brutallic100 We need to normalize relations in between the two countries; therefore, this issue must be resolved once and for all. If my ancestors have committed atrocities against your ancestors, like your are stating, then we must accept responsibility as well. It is best for historians to decide what really happened during WWI. I also believe that your government has done everything to hide facts. I personally do not hold any animosity towards you.

  • YOU GUYS NEED TO CHILL out and just enjoyy it mann comee on likee why does it matter too yoouu ??? just shut the fucckk up aboutt whos dance it is and watch it and enjoy it dontt like it get the fucck out of this paggee and if u think its stoleenn from other countriiess WHO GIVES A FUCCKK!

  • A turkey is either of two living species of large birds in the genus Meleagris. One species, Meleagris gallopavo, commonly known as the Wild Turkey, is native to the forests of North America. The other species, Meleagris ocellata, known as the Ocellated Turkey, is native to the forests of the Yucatán Peninsula

The domestic turkey is a descendant of the Wild Turkey and features prominently in the menu of the US and Canadian holidays of Thanksgiving and that of Christmas in many countries

  • this is a modern way of turkish folklore dance, but very good !

  • TR!

  • abi bence bizi yeterli temsil etmiyo folk dance yazınca 9.sırada çıkıyo. ama yeterli değil şöyle sağlam bi zeybek falan olsa anlıcam.

  • STOP STEALING MUSIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @lalagola88 this is turkish ( oriental ) music, and greeks are not oriental, just europeans, so shut up and whatch to vids like sirtaki you mf

  • @lalagola88 turkey was never greek, anatolia of course.. but greek was 500 years long turkish territorium, remember bitchson? tradiotions and culture? greeks are using turkish instruments, like ciftetelli ( turk. cift = double tell= wire) and saying it's greek.. just an example

  • @kuruptxxx Anatolians were not only turks, what i know is that turks lie a lot

  • @kuruptxxx you can fucking keep the bloody cift=gift=gipsy dance!! We gave much more important things than stupid whore dances. We gave democracy and civilization things that you could never give yourself simply because you are not able to produce such type of thoughts!! And Greece was not your territory you fucking moron, you invaded this country and many other countries because the only thing you like and know how to do best is WAR!!! OUST take something turkish OUST OUST AI SIXTIR!!

  • u greeks just moron still moron go save ur economy stupids noobs idiots who is stealer we know ;)

  • @lalagola88 greeks document everything, even their homosexual relationship but there is nothing about cultural dances. the most funny thing is that turkmens, azeris, uzbeks and turks which are turkic dance these kind of dances too, that means till central-asia turkic people have the same culture! So you copy it from us, when we came to anatolia! Even the instruments davul etc looks asian!

  • @beautynilay1988

first try to understand greek philosophy and greek language and then talk about that myth of homosexuality in ancient greece. Do you know what κιναιδως means??? Ηave you got any idea of what Αιδώς was in Ancient Greece??? Have you ever tried to understand Plato's symposium and the notion of Platonic Love???

If yes, you wouldnt talk these nonsense. UNEDUCATED PEOPLE

  • @pitsimitsi

does it matter? First gay thoughts are from Greek based could be Rome also. For this dance Its special careography they might've changed a bit of its way to modernize it and for clothes for sure.

  • So exciting! The only thing more fun then watching dancing is doing it yourself.

  • Wtf is peoples problem? No one exept Turks can accept that this is TURKISH fol dance! Why cant you take it? Someone says its Irish, Greek, Hungarian etc. This is bullshit I mean dont you guys have other things to think about?

  • @jelijeli1905 This IRISH step dancing the National Irish dance!!!! This is not, no way Turkish. This has been IRISH and is still IRISH. I am not Irish but I grew up in an Irish community and most friends Irish. I am sure they will not like it that anyone stole their National dance. I like it though but still it is 100% IRISH copy.

  • @jelijeli1905 I heared this song in Turkey and we all actually danced to it. Really fun. So it is obviously a TURKISH folk dance

  • @jelijeli1905 yeeh but the show from "sultan of the dance" let it look like the irish lord of the dance stuff..... I dont know it looks weird.. not so actually turkish.

  • hungarians and turks have the same roof.

:) we are central asian ppL

  • turks dance!

  • this is the modernized version of Turkish dance. All of the movements are based on our folkloric heritage. It may look like Irish dance because theirs dances also based on foot but when you look at it carefully they are very different from each other..

  • stupids those guys is Turkish and thats all dance Turkish fucking stupids greeks what a liar race

  • love it.. like a turkish River dance :) great!

  • And for people who say "Group A stole this from Group B", I don't think you have any idea what "steal" means. If I steal something from you, you don't have it any more. Dance, and other non-material cultural products, can be copied, imitated, inspired, forgotten, changed but they usually aren't stolen. Ottoman dance (like everyone's) was copied from many places and inspired many others but it neither stole nor was stolen.

  • Yes! this is how cultures grow!

  • This looks like fusion dance. Fusion dance has a place, but the problem is that fusion dance from Turkey ends up looking a lot like fusion dance from Ireland (River Dance) and probably fusion dance from about every place in the world. I'd have much preferred either something more traditional or more modern, not this McDonald's mix of the two.

  • this is like the irish riverdance.

  • i am armenian, and i can tell you clearly, THIS IS NOOOOOOOOOOT ARMENIAN. armenian is not like this. this sounds very irish to me. our dances are different, since we live in the caucasus. continue fighting.

    cheers

  • im turkish and irish this looks like irish dancing with a turkish twist to is! i love it marshallah!

  • this does not look like turkis dance i know even though iam kurdish turkish and kurdish dance almost the same.

  • Selin this is TURKISH!!

  • wow .I love it

  • THE WORST is that it's not our original dances

fire of anatolia is a mixed and modern kind of our traditionnal folk dances so it can't be from a country

just the beginning music is from gaziantep and there is kurds and turks there so as I said we can't know

the only thing wich is sure is this is from Turkey ...

  • selin senın kurdüne dedirtme bana this is only turkish oke

  • THIS IS ANATOLIAN CULTURE

    and ANATOLIA IS IN TURKEY

and I don't care about which ethnie invented this

maybe it's armenian turk kurd greek arab or another ethnie WE CAN T KNOW

the important is that it's Anatolian

so Faites pas chier lol PEAAAAAACE

  • Why does everyone keep saying turks steal everything. They have their own culture too! They are a country! They do have people! They have their own culture and dance. Deal with it.

Look at the size of Greece and Armenia and the size of Turkey today. That just shows who the sore losers are. Stop crying and accept that turkish culture was embedded into greek/armenian cultures, not the other way around.

  • Mensen die jaloers worden mogen direct oprotten!!

People dont be jealoes. dont say this is kurdisch or armenian...

    Fuck off this is TURKISH!!!!

  • I love it.>>> Way the go with new chorography.

  • stolen? you fuckin' bastards are CULTURE THIEVES.. nothing else.. this has nothing commen with greek culture

  • turkey turks = a mixture of 44 etnic groups (turks, bulgarians, albanians, bosnians, georgians etc.)...

The culture of turkey = a mixture of 44 different cultures; therefore is turkey so colourful country....

  • is this group coming to the US?

Maybe you have arabic, indian, pashtun etc. bloods in you...

And turkey-turks: ottoman turks, that means muslims in the ottoman empire (without arabs, kurds and persians)...

Turkey-turks is a mix of serbs, bosnians, albanians, bulgarians, georgians, azaris etc.....There are 44 different ethnic groups in turkey...

  • emre05x if you are not mixed why have you not Mongolian eyes? as the other turks in turkistan?

  • where are kurds from??? That is not true that meders were kurds, because meders called themselves as "meders" and not as "kurds"...

Kurd is a new world; you are a mix of arabs, persians, hindu, banghali, pashtun.... 60% of kurdish words are persian and 40% arabic and turkish...

And kurds never built an empire or a state (like the ottoman empire or selcuk empire)...
