hey, im new at black smithing and i have been looking around for designs of forges and i thought yours looked really easy and just what i was looking for, im not a fan of anything electrical when it comes to forging, and i was wondering if you could make a tutorial on how to make the forge, including the bellows?
Did you know that there was a body of an early European found in the alps that possessed copper tools? I would like to know how smelting was conducted by people who lived 5300 years ago.
I was only singing this song a minute ago! what a coincedence! Well it is not quite the same, I was singing Warlock - Mattachins which is practically the same but what is this called cos it's a bit different?
great vid! its good to show how things were done a long time ago. i love it for its historical value. it would be great if you also showed the whole process from gathering and smelting ore to making all your tools to making a product to barter! i wonder how many man hours it would take just, from beginning to end, make a product. a few thousand hours i would imagine! thats considering everything involved.
Your hand bellows work fine, very nice setup and ecofriendly (no electricity and charcoal for fuel, if I'm right). Much better than gym for the shoulders of both, the smith and the helper.
