This storyline centered in and around the "Martyr Of Eden" plot involving Jody. Eddie Lorimer's man Joe Bullmer ordered Troy (Didi's brother) to rough up Jody at the studio (by this time it was shared by Jim Dedrickson and Chad Sutherland). Troy chickened out, but Loomis (who was supposed to be Troy's backup) had other plans and proceeded to shoot and kill Troy out of his own personal gain. Troy shot and killed Loomis in self-defense and was sent to jail for it.

Loomis was originally brought on the Monticello police force to keep tabs on Lorimer and Bullmer, but it turns out that Loomis was working for Lorimer and was very close with Bullmer. Loomis was supposed to kill Jody when she was being held captive at a bookshop by two student radicals, Pietro and Viva, but he wound up killing Viva instead. Yes, Joe Bullmer did kill Jody's mother, along with a few other people.

I do not seem to have to much recollection of this plot. I believe I was not to crazy about the Damian Tyler/Poppy Johnson/Eddie Lorimer story. However I did enjoy the Calvin and Didi scene with the "Kirk and Emily Michaels" underscore playing. Didn't Joe Bulmer kill Leonnie Travis, Jody's mom?
