The nock is lit perfect as it goes through the animal, it is just the camera angle, the deer was too close, only 3 or 4 yards from the base of the tree. the camera was zoomed in, i was on one side of the tree, the camera was on the other. so you only get to see it for about a foot before it goes into the deer

I liked the first shot; it was obviously a good vital hit by the reviewing the slow motion footage. For those of you who think that this deer showed no such evidence of being hit, well you obviously have a lack of experience; I am not a deer but I think it is safe to say that any deer who gets hit by an arrow or bullet has no idea what had just happen, but as a experience hunter you learn to read a wounded deer...there was no doubt in my mind that deer was going to drop. 2nd shot no need.

I don't care what any of these assholes say, the second shot was fine. You had a (mortally) wounded deer within bow range and wanted to make sure, no problem with that. And further more, it may have looked like a bad shot BUT the buck was severly quartering away so the shot needed to be back to hit the vitals and not the shoulder. Good Hunt! Keep it up!

u made a good shot the first time and that seconed shot was good to if u would have used a 2blade rage the deer wouldnt have made it 20feet with the first shot it put a big hole and the bleed out in 3 seconds

The shot was taken, because i didnot know where he was hit the first time and I had an opportunity to put another arrow in the deer and put him down for good. Yes, the deer was less than a minute from expiring, but I will put another arrow in him and have backstraps for dinner, not a story about how I thought I hit him, and then he just walked away.

There are new camera's out there that mount right to the scope. I'm sure you can probably rig them for a bow as well. With this scope it mounts to the scope and when you pull up and aim, it films exactly what you are aiming at and records the shot too. I don't know if you can film the exact hit because of recoil but it may be worth looking into. Even if it doesn't get the moment of impact it's better than nothing. Good luck, and happy huntin'!!!

The suit I bought is the skyline XT, size large. I wear a Scentblocker Dream Season suit in to my spots then throw on the heater suit and I'm ready to go! During the rut I usually sit in the tree all day, so I needed something like this. Its worth every dime I spent on it.

Another thing, most of the time I leave the front unzipped. It really does work that well!

No work w/ Rage yet, but have heard both good and bad about them. My thing is if it ain't broke don't fix it. My Rocket Steelhead 125 is unbelievable head. As well as standby, Rocket Sidewinder 100gr. 3blade. I have killd lots of stuff with both those heads. Standard muzzy, thunderhead, innerloc, g5, will all fly just like a field point with some work. Tuning your rest, and Spinning the broadheads taking out the "WIGGLE"

The second shot was placed exactly where I was aiming. The film is edited, he stood in the same spot for at least 30 seconds before I decided to shoot a second arrow, into the lungs. In the leg and 28 and 1/2 inches of arrow up into lung. The deer died right where he ran into the tree. see recovery on whitetail addictions show.

I do not think the second shot was needed unless he did not see the first shot go in. For all you who said the placement was poor on the second shot, you are wrong. An artery known as the femoral artery is located pretty close to where he hit it the 2nd shot. If you hit that artery they will go down very quickly.

The first shot looked decent to me but apparently it was a bit far back. I figure he would've gone down eventually, but that 2nd shot, no doubt, made it a heck of alot faster with an easier recovery. Those illuminocks are crazy. Great video.

yes, my brother was filming and he thought i was just playing it up for the camera.

he really, REALLY, REALLY wanted me to shoot the first doe because it was pretty cold and he had to go to work. I grabbed a carbont express maxima 250 with a Rocket 125 Ultimate Steel broadhead, but by the time I swapped arrows she smelled where we walked in and took off. I swapped arrows to a Rocket 125 Steelhead and waited for the big boy to come. it took about 5 more minutes before my brother saw him.
