John probably applied it to his suit before he went into stasis in Halo 3. As for the falls; it is canonically stated that MOST (not all) suits can only use a fullscale armorlock once per charge at a military station.

Wow, the dialogue was AMAZING, but what killed it was the lack of voice actors, if you kept the same script, but got different voice actors for a few of the characters, I would think Bungie would put this up on their front page easy.
