Es gehört auch zu meinen Lieblingsliedern. Ich finde es aber sehr religiös, sowohl den Text als auch die Melodie! - Unsere deutschen Weihnachtslieder klingen ja anders, aber es gibt eine gute deutsche Übersetzung des Textes und die Melodie stammt von Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, der hier eine Melodie von J.S. Bach übernommen und verarbeitet hat.
