  • get a taekwondo guy against judoka and he will throw the tkd guy across room.

  • 0:46 was my favorite part!!Jumping sidekick!!!

  • @Thebeyblader345 and he made it look like any1 can do it!

  • HOW DO YOU MAKE IT LOOK EASY???????!!!!!!!!!!!

  • They've inserted punching effects ? U can hear every time when he punch of kick, u can hear SLAP! U know what i'm sayin'

  • @PatriotaMG No, that's a help tool they put into the video, a lot of schools use it to help students get the timing right so the form finishes at the correct time, by slapping either two kicking paddles or two wooden sticks together. It would have been used in this video since it's meant as an instructional tool. Just clarifying.

  • chagi and the chocolate factory:P

  • is there anything after this? or another group of forms one might work on? or are the 17 forms the only ones officially recognized by wtf? what's the dealeo? (and i don't care to hear how much more badass itf is, i don't do itf, so i don't care about it)

  • u suck

  • aik!!i piss my pants!!!!

  • cool forms, although i probably will never learn 10-17. 20 years ago when i was 11 i learned koryo, but quit before the black belt test. had a renewed interest in martial arts this year, i've expanded into boxing/kickboxing and ninjutsu. it's funny, the kicks always stay with you. people are still impressed with some of the kicks i learned in tkd.

  • omg!!!!he is a 9th degree:)>o< o_o

  • Hatasoul is totally right!!!!

  • O.O jump sidekick. never thought that'd be in a poomsae. thats totally awesome though.

  • No No!! lets face it. I'm not attacking anyone I'm just stating a fact. ITF patterns are so more complex and better to watch than any WTF Poomsae. If people can't see that then your blind.

  • @captinkao can you name a few people here who give two fucks? WTF is here for a reason and you just abuse taekwondo by trying to state which one is better you ignorant pathetic little twat

  • @captinkao itatkd.com/choi_hong_hi_passesaway.html

  • there isn't much of a discrepancy in difficulty between koryu and this one. It might just be me though but Ilyo seems a bit more patterned.

  • i luhb tkd now im brownbelter

  • In ITF style tkd a child would have trouble passing a green belt grading using the power this man uses, i'm not disrespecting wtf tkd but this mans hand techniques are pathetic!

  • I really wanna learn this right now, it's cool! :)

  • they're not sound effects

  • The hell thier not.I know what a snapping Gi is and this is not the sound.Plus i can snap my Gi better than this guy and i roll my sleeves up!!

  • Oh my god, I've never seen a Idan Iop Chagi in a Form before, amazing!!!

  • @KikeRostocker1: ME 2, That's pretty awesome. :D

  • @KikeRostocker1: And it looks pretty wierd being put in there, but hey. It's still cool.

  • can u interpret idan lop chagi in eng? i think is the flying side kick

  • yes, It's the flying side kick, I'm from Mexico, and here, in almost all the Tae Kwon Do institutions we use de Korean names of the kicks, punches, etc. I think that in USA and other contries people use the names translated to their languages, Idan means "flying" Iop = "Side" and Chagi or Chaki is "Kick". For example, Idan Ap Chagi is "Flying Front Kick"

  • ok thx but for which dan this pattern is?

  • This is the last form, I think this is for 9th dan

  • ok thx

  • 9th

  • geez this form looks easy yet rlly complicated...

  • Maybe 3rd students' degree, but if you have any masters' degree under the age of 16 you've been cheated and should look for a more serious teacher.

Oh, and here's the deal in your language: dude, don't flip now but if you like have like a dan at like 14, you better like watch out. ;-)

  • TAEKWONDO POOMSEA(TAEGUK)1-17

  • Ilyo: mind freedom of desire as a way to sell low others and the rising of self-conscience.

  • I passed my 6th kup yesterday. after a forced ten year break, I was glad to finally get back into the dojang..

  • is there 17 poomse in taekwondo?

  • Will u all martial artist stop attacking eachother....we should be together discussing about martial arts and not trying to show who is the best....every martial arts have their own way but there only have one meaning, its an arts....please be unite and share some good ideas.....love...!

  • I totally agree^^

  • Thank you, I completely agree.

If you guys cant see how right hatasoul is, you have learned the techniques but missed the point.

  • Comment removed

  • @hatasoul i want to fight and fuck you

  • @raeviliss3 Du solltest besser ficken, bevor ich ausgeschnitten Ihre Eileiter und benutzen sie als Strohhalme geschlossen.

  • @BADASSMANDO fuck you

  • i have koryo

  • Please, stop this nonsense of comparing arts. Especially the comments from Tae Kwon Do black belts.

You of all people should know.

    No bragging. Be humble please.

  • I agree, Martial arts wasnt made to show off.

  • blue

  • But i really hate it when u see like 4 year olds wit black belts and people think there so cool because they can kick 4 times in the air while spinning.

  • They really only think those little kids are good because they're so small and young.

Most of them are pretty bad compared to guys who are older doing that stuff.

Also, I have landed more complex kicks than a tornado kick in a fight. It's hard, but if you practice them, then you'll see that there is a right time to do them.

I have done kata, and poomse, and any other thing you can call them: A form, is a form, is a form. The martial art doesn't matter; a poomse can be as hard as a kata.

  • Yeah, I know what you mean but ... if they are really only 4, and can do 4 kicks before landing, that's pretty hectic you know. I mean, what could you do when you were 4?

  • btw is this last pattern?

  • yes, it is.

  • Thats your opinion, i trained in Shotokan Karate for about 3 years and it was great, but i have a couple of friends who do TKD and i would say they are at the same level as me, the teaching and art itself just differs in style

  • actually there are different types of taekwondo some really aggressive some more defensive but all i can say is

    1. poomse in taekwondo is way harder.

    2. (i agree)

    3.self defense is way better.

4.fitness ( ppl in my taekwondo r all skinny)

    5. wrong! taekwondo is way stricter i dunno where uve came from.

    6. taekwondo kicks r way better karate kicks sorta suck taekwondo has tornado (if u jump high it's good) jumping back kick (good for counters) and many more so karate sucks compared to taekwondo

  • For one thing i dare you to do one of your flying tornado spinning back kick things in a fight, u would get eaten alive. Taekwondo is all sport karate UNLESS u do traditional taekwondo. Karate kata is shit harder than taekwondo poomse. U come to my club and try to do a kata, i quarante you would change your mind. Im not saying taekwondo sucks, its an effective martial arts with good aspects and bad aspects just like every other martial arts.

  • ok i understand ur point

  • omg greek machine lmao lol and i've done karate and tae kwon do, the karate ones seemed easyer to me :P

  • Depends on teacher.

  • this guy is really good. i am 2 degree blue belt in saudi arabia but i am from jordan.

  • is this the 9th degree form

  • no, it is the 17th.

  • i think he meens 9th degree black belt form o.o

  • @TKDEsra i think he means 9th degree black

  • @TKDEsra

yes, it's the 9th degree form, and yes it's the 17th form in total.

  • @TKDEsra Wtf? There aren't 17 dans....

  • @Voltagia2 The '17' means the 17th pattern in taekwondo wtf.

  • @gilababibaba Ohhh right.

  • @TKDEsra hes talking about 9th Dan

  • @google1054 9th is Koryo if I'm not mistaken which is also 1st Dan, if I'm not mistaken again... I watched the vids but am a low ranking taekwon...

  • i like the jumping sidekicks.

most poomsee's are just way too hard for me to memorize though.that is ultimately why i quit tkd after 1-1/2 years. : (

  • hey dont quit b/c of that it just takes some ppl a bit longer than others ut just keep practicing. trust me you'll get it

  • @bobbyd7085: That's a stupid reason to quit. Some people may be able to memorize a form after watching it three times, but may have trouble performing the techniques effectively, so actually they're just "dancing" until they overcome their obstacle. Others break boards easily but can't keep up with the choerographies, so they're just beating until they overcome. Whatever. "Don't bother giving up"!

  • Also,

what are the requirements for attaining the fourth Dan belt if I'm a resident in Canada? and which Poomsae would I be responsible for..

    Thanks

  • If I'm not mistaken, you're responsible for up to Sipjin and you should be learning Jitae.

And generally, you've been in the art for 10 or so years at this point. After all, in Canada, being 4th is considered 'Master', although not in KKW standards.

I should be 4th by now...but University cut my time short.

  • Hi,

I just wanted to ask a question, and I appreciate if someone with knowledge pertaining to the matter can provide an answer. When I practiced Tae Kwon Do in Jordan, the following were the Poomsae requirements according to the Kukkiwon regulations: Taegeuk Pal (8) is required for the first Dan test, and Kuryiua (9) is for the second Dan and Kuemgang (10) is for the third Dan. Do these standards still stand?

  • yes, these standards still stand, and it doesn´t matter in wich country you are, if you are a WTF member the requirements are the same.

  • this guy is rlly good

  • come on!! lol

  • he says "Guman (speak ghumon)", that means "end of practice"

  • cool, thank you for letting me know ;) I was just messing around but i was wondering what he was rlly saying

  • Great Technique!
