"To erupt" is something of chance, where "to make" or "create" is something planned by someone or something for a purpose. I chose the word "erupt" to describe the Big Bang theory, because that's what the Big Bang is. No Creator, no set purpose, nothing, just "happend"... I rather believe that I have a creator, not that i just happened to be put into existence.
As for evidence, you must understand that the only evidence we have is a book. The Bible is the oldest most accurate book in human history, no other book has stood as firm as the Bible throughout history. It agrees with all historical events recorded by other people at the same time the Bible was written. You can laugh and say it isn't true, but in the end, it takes faith to believe the Bible. And if you don't even try to read it, or test it, how can you laugh and say it's not true?
oh and i think you should read the book "Case for Christ", that will give you MANY evidences about the Bible. It's about this journalist that thought the Bible was a bunch of balony, but he did a thorough investigation upon it and surprised himself, cuz he found that the Bible wasn't a fairytale after all.
EXACTLY! You choose to believe you morron! It's much nicer to feel that you have a creator and that you go somewhere after you die, rather than the other option! That's what Christianity has been al about. The thing that pissses me off the most is your Holier than thou attitude... so only 15% of the world population have the right belief, and from those only 7% actually do what the bible says... nice to know your loving God is gonna send all 85% to hell!

2. Your argument is based on the presumption of a questionable premiss--linear time. Many physicists are hypothesizing that there my be no such thing as time--just a construct of our own limited consciousness.
3. Time as it is understood right now, is relative to mass/gravity, so if the Universe started as a singularity, time would also be affected.

God is a matter of faith--not science. You cannot prove that which has no scientific background or resource (matter, proteins, chemicals, etc). Science looks at that which is--not which is written about in a book copied from other ancient records. There is and never was a god or goddess.
I'm not sure what specifically prohibits that matter and energy are also eternal other than a lack of imagination.
Also, a creation tends to imply that which was used to create. By what mechanism did the Eternal God create the universe, and from what, if not matter and energy?
