How about we just call him a magnificant talent, with a passionate message that Cat Steven's really wasn't about. Glen Hansard's song writing hasan intent to purvey a feeling, not just some Cat in the cradle with a silver spoon over and over again. No offense to Cat or his fan's....The comparison is like apples and orange's. :) I can't say enough about Glen, and my inspiration's as an artist are the Vai's and Nuno's...never the less this guy has broadened my horizon's.

The Swell Season are starting an European tour .I saw them in London last Friday and they delivered on so many levels ,some un-expected .I am fricken reeling from the gig and utterly adore the band .If you have the chance - GO! and see them ,you will not be sorry! What a great memory

In terms of genre their not that similar to Cat stevens.

Although they have a similar message and th voice is a more mellow cat stevns i think you could say that.

Non the less I do think that these guys are what would happen if cat stevens knew about colplay.

A more mellow song. This is excellent.

@DarkEgg5 I agree, though some of Damien Rice's music is a bit odd, if you look at the lyrics. But don't get me wrong, I love Damien's music. Nor am I bashing on it.
