I grew up with these birds, and this doesn't look anything like angry, this is just being playful and excited, like a dog waggling it's tail and running around.
When they are angry the feathers in the back stand up and they get kinda puffy.
When they get really skinny and smooth they are scared or nervous.
aww man, i used to have a lovebird in the exact same coloring as yours is, and then it died while i was away at school... looks like your lovebird is loving its life!
Reminds me a ton of my little Gimli! Hilarious. :) I remember many a times I'd be standing in the kitchen, and he'd be on the ground, and look up at me saying: I'm angry! I'm bigger than you!! :) They're tough and have a bunch of spunk. :) Cute as hell, though! :) I hope you also get to snuggle Buckee- they love it. :)
Maybe Gimli is a female like Buckee? Female lovebirds definitely have more spunk than the male lovebirds. My male lovebird is like a different species...very laid back and goofy. Buckee on the other hand is very stubborn, determine to have her way, and can be a pain in the neck but she's smarter.
@gbabayan Female lovebirds are territorial and more agressive, what i noticed about my lovebirds, Peach( female) always bit harder than Berry(male) and Berry follows Peach where ever she goes, but lovebirds are fun.
wow,i have lovebirds an i breed them an all the silly behavior they do i've never seen that but I think mayb he thinks that theres water somewhere an lookin for it or he could be just be pissed off.
@countrybwoy420 Mine used to bang his beak down and make a noise to emphasize he was mad. Also used to bob his head in a sort of: "I'm gonna jab you with my beak" manner. I *suspect* this is half that maneuver- he's learned he can make a big noise (probably sounds bigger in his head) by running his beak across the table. :) I bet he thinks it sounds tough! LOL
@gbabayan It like he trying to talk to the orange juice! Hes sliding his nose against the table! So cute! Did the table get scratch marks? And that is some odd behavior right there.
thats a male

He could be very stubborn, moody, demanding and bites very hard but most of the time he's sweet and likes to be with people.
