i was scheduled for an endoscopy last month..but because i'm too afraid i didn't go back to my doctor... now, i'm still suffering of this stomach problem.. i'm still trying to find any strength to do this endoscopy thing... :(

i can attest, nothing to worry about. i have had 3 done and i'm 44. had my 1st one at 39 in 2006 because i was having problems. as a result , i was diagnosed with colorectal cancer. 2nd one was one yr later to see if all was ok. 3rd one was done in 09 as a 3yr follow up. bowel prep is a bitch having to go #2 till u r cleaned out. u r consciously sedated for it, meaning you are so out of it you don't feel anything. u can respond to verbal commands but no pain.

To anyone waiting for an endoscopy - please don't worry, you'll be fine. The sedation is great, you'll sail through the whole thing and remember nothing - or very little - afterwards. Even if you do talk a bit of nonsense while you're still not fully awake, it doesn't matter - they've heard it all before! I know it's scary thinking about it if you haven't had it done before, but honestly, I've had it done 4 times and would do it again tomorrow if necessary with no worries.

I just felt like I had a little heartburn but that is just because there was a camera and a bunch of air down there. I just took my Nexium right after and then went to IHOP for a very large breakfast. The rest of the day was spent napping :)

Everybody gets to go through cool freaky emotional things after the endoscopy. man i went for the same test for h pylori. the best i was freaky with was tryna walk straight. and i practically didnt dream or anything. unfairnessss

@alkina2006 Well, I don't remember any of this. My mom just brought the camera because she knew I acted like this under anesthesia because of past procedures. Once I got to see it I had to post it on youtube.

I had been having horrible heartburn and acid reflux that would either keep me up all night or just cause my throat to me burned the next morning if I did sleep. The diagnosis ended up being severe GERD so now I get to take 2 Nexium a day. The week before this I had had a colonoscopy and acted the same way so my mom decided to film this one for me.
