@mitzibishi usually when you respond to me, I'm already at my computer. Right now I'm at work so I'm responding late. And no I'm not a console fanboy i'm a gamer. I game on any platform. You must be a pc fanboy though. Sad bunch, really. You guys try to act like you're the best of the best because your rigs are powerful. IMHO, fanboys aren't gamers. They're cannon fodder. They're worthless, and that means you. I'm a gamer, I game on everything pc, smartphone, handheld, etc.
@mitzibishi just because I can respond faster than you doesnt make me on call 24/7. I'm at a computer a lot of the time doing work for college, and when I'm not I'm at work. I have a life, do you? I'm a troll because I don't agree with you? It's my opinion. I swear this is why I hate people, you're all so full of yourselves.
@OriginalZero i love people, and i love to goof on fools, yes i have a life thanks, its great you should try it, funny how your the one saying that and i havnt commented for a week, 2 mins after i reply you and your on, raging. bet you sat waiting by your puter for my reply, you even have youtube comment alerts to your phone! who does that? have any reply to my comment on youtube alerted to me. your too wrapped up in this shit dude. hes asking me about my life lol
@OriginalZero seriously tho who does that? having youtube comments alerted directly to your person 24/7. thats why your the 24/7 troll. i was right, anytime anyday your on call, your pocket buzzes and you furiously grab your phone to see if its recent argument you got going or a comment you made 2 years ago and you dont have a clue of the context. as soon as my puters off i forget, im not wrapped up in this like you, needing constant immediate updates of your youtube comments
To bad i have an Xbox and PC have not got a PS3 because PS3 is the same just different games. Waste of money if i buy both im happy with the PC and 360+ Kinect oh and Blue ray DVD lol. So im all set and ready.
Anyone who says the X-box version is better is an idiot, Granted it has a better TOD implementation which gives it the appearance that it's better but in every way the PC version just blows it out the water.
I suppose "better" is a nebulous term sometimes. I believe that's why this topic is even under debate. In this case I would say "better" means more detailed and more realistic since that's the type of visuals Crysis is meant to present. To some people "better" means more artistic and provoking. The console version has a much bolder and artfully colored aesthetic while the PC version is geared toward detail and realism. For many games I prefer the more artistic style, for Crysis I prefer realism.
@PerfectHandVideos So what I can gather from this is that the Xbox version has better plant textures/modles/whatever you would call it but the pc version seems to have a better skybox and water affects but Crysis is still a great game ( although ive only rented it)
I dont know how any1 can say that the xbox version looks better. The console version has that awesome cryengine 3 HDR but apart from that its inferior just more colourful.look at the interior at 1.00 the xbox has no where near as many objects as the pc and1.11 the xbox water is flat on the pc its tessellated with 3d waves. Its so obvious the pc version is better even the trees have more detail. And dont get me started on the textures very few pc games today have texture detail that can match crysis
@nejisdeath Of course they did, they're trying to sell a product. Granted, the console version is more colorful, but the PC version is demonstrably more realistic and has higher image quality, better animation, and better performance. I think they used the more "artsy" color palette and overblown lighting to cover up the lack of detail. Watch this video in 1080p on a decent display and the differences should be obvious.
The animations are the same so thats made up. The performance is only relative on how much money you spent on a graphics card. THe PC version is severely more bland. The Xbox version has better lighting, better water, and equivalent detail. The PC only has denser foliage and more textures, which are only issues on the xbox because of memory capacity. The game looks amazing, and for a 7 year old machine to be running this game looking like its max settings? Just damn
Im a console gamer myself, But i have to say that the PC version of C1 looks better than the console version. Not much of a shocker considering it was ported to consoles, but still. In all honestly i dont think you can even compare these versions. They look like two completely different settings. PC looks like a realistic rainforest and Consoles look like a realstic tropical forest. I'll give consoles better lighting thats it, after that its all PC. C2 is a more balanced comparison.
@PerfectHandVideos yes pc version looks more clear but "artsy" color palette to cover things up? thats cryengine 3 lighting, its a better lighting model than cryengine 2's. it allows much more dynamic light sources at a much lower hit on performance, and overall more realistic lighting. things that are meant to be bright are bright, shadows are much more pronounced, etc. console has nicer lighting, pc has nicer everything else. it wasn't a "cover up" like you say, its tech.
@nejisdeath that is compleate shit....i was a console gamer for my entire life...but recently i have see all the advatages over console gaming....one in wich is that pc gamnig pushes the graphics far and behond the capablilities of consoles.....you have to see for yourself to realise this....
no, that is so far from the truth its pathetic. Oh well, It just shows me further what kind of mind bending falsehoods the pc gaming community is willing to believe to make themselves feel better at night
@OriginalZero isnt Crysis console low/medium, with medium lighting. oh no by your opinion its low/medium but with uber ultra ultra ultra lighting lol dont you get that logic of tech defies that
@mitzibishi i'm not comparing the shadow quality. i'm not comparing how many light sources are used to light any given scene. i'm using the idea that the lighting just looks damn good for a console game. i'm using my eyes. and to me it looks better. i've said that over and over again, why are you being such a nazi? just shut your yap already. this wasn't a war to be won, just a simple matter of one person (me) stating my opinion and another person (you) disagreeing with me.
@OriginalZero nobody except console fanboys who are in blind denial thinks that the blue tint and bloom over saturation looks good dude. your an undercover agent here, your starting to sound like 1 of those dudes that deny anything on the PC version looks better, you must be a "console rulez!!11" guy. nobody without a console agenda thinks that BLUE TINT looks better than the realistic look with better shading of the PC version.
@nejisdeath you're blind right? that guy from crytek also said that they'd run 25-30 frames capped yet the console versions regularly hit below 20fps. now the lighting in the console version, imho, looks much better than the pc version. deferred rendering ftw. shadows are much more pronounced, and bloom and light rays look much better. but the pc version has higher resolution textures, the water looks alot nicer, and the amount of flora is amazing on pc. you ppls should grow up.
@OriginalZero yeh i love how everything is contrasted up to the max and everything has a weird blue tint. thats what i call better lighting dunno about anyone else. by the way the shadows are of a lower resolution on consoles
@mitzibishi also when i've been saying more pronounced shadows i didn't mean higher resolution. i know they're low res, but shadows pop out more in comparison to on the pc.
@OriginalZero so your saying console is best because it is brighter with a blue tint and shadows pop out more, although in every other way its inferior
@OriginalZero8:50 is a perfect example of lighting, the console version hasnt got as much going on as the PC version. consolers like to throw around this vague term of lighting, aslo do not confuse "lighting" with "shading" either
@mitzibishi i understand what lighting and shading are. you don't seem to understand that for the console port, the game moved from one game engine to the other, and also moved from one lighting engine to the other. the way both engines handle dynamic lights are vastly different. i'm not saying one is better than the other, but i prefer the lighting on the console version due to how it makes shadows pop and puts more emphasis on objects.
@OriginalZero "how it makes shadows pop and puts more emphasis on objects." in other words, increased contrast. it isnt really the engine thats making that lighting so bright, crysis 2 on PC uses CE3 and it doesnt look like that, it looks similar to CE2. the reason its all bright and over saturated is a design decision by crytek to cover up any flaws and confuse to people like you or give them an excuses. to you the lighting is better, but the other 90% of game is not. simple
@mitzibishi i never said it was better than the pc version, thanks for stating the obvious. i just said that i prefer the lighting in the console version.
@OriginalZero doesnt the blue tint look weird to you? seriously, your looking at that blue tint and saying things are better than a realistically lit version. with better shading all over the shop. i think Crytek mentioned lighting(they lied about Crysis on consoles being better than PC) to give consolers a get out claus when discussing the inferiority of the console game. CE3 lighting is not better than CE2, Crysis 1 and Crysis 2 lighting on the PC is near identical.
@mitzibishi maybe to you the lighting is the same but when i played C2 on the pc i was awestruck by the lighting. light shafts were more pronounced, far away lights shined bright.
@mitzibishi the blue tint does look odd but at the same time has a cooler look to it (cool as in temp). once again its just my opinion please don't try to beat yours into my head.
@mitzibishi yes. have you ever lived on a tropical island? if you stand in the sun its crazy hot but the shade under a tree feels cool. its hard to explain.
@OriginalZero oh i see they went realistic with ramping up the blue RGB. yes you have Crytek all worked out. its not the engine doing that, its the devs covering up any failings the version may have if they were idenitcally lit, theyv ramped up the satuaration to change it up to avoid direct comparison. and consolers have used it as a getout claus. C2 PC and console has similar lighting, nothing like this.C1 and C2 PC has similar lighting, its a design choice
@mitzibishi i'm facepalming right now.. i think i'm done dealing with stubborn people on youtube for one night. i'm slow clapping for you, just so you know. stupidity knows no bounds.
@OriginalZero "yes. have you ever lived on a tropical island? if you stand in the sun its crazy hot but the shade under a tree feels cool. its hard to explain." & "the blue tint does look odd but at the same time has a cooler look to it (cool as in temp)" slow clap yourself for making silly apologies for it and for not understanding that its not the engine making it look over saturated.C2 console lighting looks similar to C2 PC lighting which looks like C1 lighitng, not the engine
Your better than me i'll tell you that much. Talking to this guy is like talking to a doornob. He doesnt understand that there are different opinions on matters. Its pretty much everything console wise is automatically bad and everything Pc wise is automatically good with no gray areas.
@OriginalZero what you said there is ridiculous, in the sun its blue tint, in the shade its blue tint, everywhere its blue tint. its just plain weird looking. besides take away that silly design choice and have direct comparison away from the sunlight and the saturation like in, 8:48 if console lighting is better why does it look flat and have alot less going on than the PC version which looks as though it has x10 more things going on.
Why are all these comparisons done at different times of the day? PC looks better no doubt, but this isnt even balanced right. Like compare PCs 4:44 to the same place but at the time of 360s 0:31.
@PerfectHandVideos hi dudes i am diamondfang "erm perfect hands, next time you make the best comparison vid ive ever seen, that leaves me without doubt which is superior unlike the other comparison vids that are either setup for 1 to look better than the other when infact they are identical or try harder to emulate the 1000's of amatuerish comparison vids with clips that are chosen and compiled so nobody has a clue which is better, and also make it so the hardware of my choice wins"
@DiamondFang Not to brag, but I think my Crysis 2 videos are better. I really do try very hard and put a lot of time and effort into my videos, which is why I rarely update, it's a huge pain! lol Also, they clearly weren't using the DX11 or HD Texture packs for the PC version, which seems to make the whole thing a little pointless.
Well guy, i just watched your comparison i must admit you definitely know how to compare games. I like how you pause and zoom at the little things. The differences are somewhat the same as the other video but you actually took the time to pause so that earns alotta extra points. I'll being coming to you for future comparison for now on thats for sure lolz.
@DiamondFang Hey I just re-rendered my new Battlefield 3 comparison to include some closeup shots to illustrate some of the differences in AA, AF, water effects, and shadows. I think I'll try to include this technique in all my comparison videos from now on. Thanks for the feedback.
@PerfectHandVideos at last a man that knows how to make comparison vids, not some silly split screen vid of cutscenes that shows nothing. its all about textures, draw distances etc
@DiamondFang thats an amatuerish comparison vid you linked right there. dont subject me to your awfull comparison vids unless its as good as this crysis comparison
amatuerish why? because it shows a more valid point? Crysis 1 was made for PC then PORTED to consoles. Crysis2 wasnt and thus shows what multiplatform PC games look like in comparison to consoles.. PC still better graphic wise but you see the line bewteen them beginning to thin.
What you basically just said was: "Thats stupid, dont show me a more balanced comparison unless its more one sided like this video"
@DiamondFang amatuerish because this video is the definition of a good comparison, that vid was the same as all the others, it shows nothing. it doesnt even have the high rez texture pack or dx11 so the pc version is handicapped from the start. it doesnt show texture differences, draw distances or dx11 vs dx9. id go with perfect hands comparisons anytime
@mitzibishi THIS video is a good comparison at the max level of each. But i would like to point out that not every person is going to have maxed out play. Graphics doesnt appy to every person and some if not most ppl would rather just play the game.
That being said altho that video didnt have it maxed its still just as good as this one because it shows the differences bewteen PC and consoles in there most natural form. In there natural forms the difference bewteen PC and consoles for Crysis 2
.. begins to thin. Now dont get me wrong (PerfectHandVideos, im talking to you) Im not saying the other one was better at all. In fact as i said before you took the time to point out the small things so that makes yours better. But im saying that both versions are appreciated when looking at different aspects. the default and the enhanced.
(Back To Mitzibishi) Crysis 1 is more one sided because consoles have a ported version whereas 2 is more balanced. thats wht i mean by you...
@DiamondFang yes a true comparison like this 1, not rigged so console looks the same. so you would rather have it balanced so both look equal rather than a true comparison
@DiamondFang the dx11 and high rez textures were an officail patch from crytek. no its not balanced, its not the best from both versions so the PC version has a HANDICAP, what do you not understand about that? handicap means rigged 1 way. and it doesnt touch on the real differences between them, like i said, texture quality, draw distances, shadows quality, lighting, water and reflections on wet surfaces. none of that is shown, its just a silly playthrough that doesnt show much
Welp, i already made my point all your doing at this point is just arguing and i dont feel necessary to prove it any longer. patch, no patch dx11 no dx11 it doesnt matter. At the end of the day that video shows a default comparison bewteen Crysis 2 PC version vs Console version. Even the enhanced version isnt THAT different as it was ported to PC. You at this point is jus trying to go around the fact and i dont care for that. on a balanced video like that the graphic difference are
minor at best. By your "handicap" logic the ported version of Crysis 1 for console is HANDICAPPED because it wasnt truly at 1920x1080. But we dont count that do we? no because thats a perfect handicap to make a point. Like i said at the end of the day unenhanced Crysis 2 looks similar to Console version Crysis 2 end of.. Crysis 2 is more balanced than Crysis 1 which is a port simple fact.
@DiamondFang you dont count 1080p because the hardware isnt powerfull enough to render games at 1080p anymore, let alone 720p, im suprised it wasnt lower. although ive heard the PS3s framerate drops all the time so they mayswell have lowered the rezo even more for the PS3 to level out the choppy framerates
PS3 can go to 1080p but the best quality would be 720p DUE to its limits. You make it seem like the fact that it performs bad on 1080p makes it look bad. No.. on the contary 720p has better performance than its 1080p counterpart. Dont know where you heard PS3 cant render 720p espcially since 720p is native for nearly every PS3 game out.
Anyways.. like i said unenhanced Crysis 2 more balanced as that vid shows. When enhanced more of a difference but nowhere as close to Crysis 1 which was ported.
@DiamondFang no dx11 and high rez textures is official, its the vanilla game for PC, it was released with a later patch, thats why the vid didnt show it, but now its the vanilla game, if you buy crysis 2 now its in there with the install. of course a game looks bad if it performs bad in 1080p, if it runs at 10 frames per second it definately looks bad mate, unplayable. the ps3 is old now, it cant perform as well in higher resolutions, it never has
"The DX11 Ultra Upgrade is a free visual improvement (add-on) introducing DirectX 11 support as well as a wealth of graphical improvements and performance optimization for both DX11 and DX9 API's."
Dx11 isnt official in the way you trying to say. Crysis 2 can be played at default settings. Again, for the THIRD time now unenhanced C2 is MORE balanced than C1 which was ported. There is NO difference the likes of this video in C2 enhanced or not.
@DiamondFang more balanced because it doesnt improve on crysis 1, if it was as it would be a leap as crysis was 5 years ago, yet it is not a leap forward but a slight step back, and the engine was downgraded for 1, its made to fit on the lower end hardware which consoles are. and DX11 is default, on my computer it is
Im sorry, but maybe because im tired currently i didnt completely understand that paragraph. But i did get the Dx11. Listen perhaps i chose the wrong words. Yes the Dx11 is a add on that is now on the regular versions. But what ppl are not getting is that that only give you the option to use it. Ppl can still use defualt setting because not everyones PC is strong enough to handle Dx11. There are two ways to play Crysis 2 enhanced and unenhanced. Dx11 or none.
@DiamondFang The devs made C1 FOR pc then ported the game to xbox. This is why you see a huge graphical discrepancy between two versions. C2 was made FOR consoles then they just released the pc version for money. Thus you don't see much graphical difference between two versions. Dx11, had they made C2 FOR pc, would have been default and console version woulda had the dumbed down version. But since it was made FOR consoles, Dx11 adds almost nothing to the game cuz devs never used dx11 functions.
That is literally what i just said in different words.
Welcome to the world of multiplatform games where the true graphical power of your system can never be truly expressed because of the limitations of other systems. Thats the same relation PS3 has with 360. PS3 get ported games. But it still remains that PC multiplatform games does not have a great graphical difference from there console brothers for said reasons.. C2 on PC looks indentical to the conosle versions nuff said.
*Facepalm* Wth? why are you following me on a completely different video this isnt Skyrim this is Crysis go somewhere else i've already proven that Skyrim and multiplatform games in general dont look much better than the console versions. The differences are minor at best. Graphics are nearly indentical, draw distances and the actual graphics of it are two different things...
@DiamondFang you have proved it? what you saying it has proved? doesnt mean that its proof at all. so now you pick and choose what you class as "graphics" as long as it suites you. what is generated onscreen by the GPU is graphics. that includes draw distances of objects, the appearing and disapeering of objects and the switching between the high and low texture of an object and distances of that are generated by the GPU, the devs lower it for consoles to not stress the weak GPUs
First off, he? No.. im more convinced that you and he are actually one. And yes i have proved that multiplatform games look identical to the Consoles. Its very evident. Also weak argument? there is no weak argument only the truth you dont sound smart twisting my words around so stop trying. For example choose what is graphics? No i know what graphics are and im right the difference isnt that different. Draw distances isnt graphical power per se its preformance. With that said..
@DiamondFang didnt you atlk of multiplatform games? you mentioned Crysis 2 and he mentioned Skyrim. now hes not allowed to talk about any other games because it doesnt suite your weak argument. What you class as graphics changes to suite your current argument, awhile back i heard you say that resolution does not class as graphics. look, whatever is onscreen is classed as graphics. whatever the CPU and GPU put onscreen is "graphics". so then, what do you class as "graphics" dude?
.. again the graphics is not very different.. at all. Things appearing and how they actually look when you go up to them are different. PC and Console multigames look identical regardless of if they appear from a distance. Multiplatform? yes i mentioned multigames TO SOMEONE ELSE smart one. someone else with a whole different topic. We were not speaking on Skyrim but what multigames does to systems. i dont recall saying resoultion does not class graphics if anything i said dx11, 1080p at the...
..end of the day, whats on screen is what matters, in which again doesnt show much. I remember saying something close to that on that other video. What is onscreen is graphics agreed, but again what IS onscreen is what i've proven, which is multiplatform games on PC and Consoles are idenitcal to each other in graphics. Again Crysis 2 showing this to be true not false..
Now plz.. im beginning to get annoyed with the replys of things i already discussed on a separate vid. Leave PH vid out of this
@DiamondFang but your not talking from experience are you, its all heresay, looking at badly made, badly encoded and compressed youtube comparisons is the basis for your argument. therefore its null. i have played console after playing the same game on PC and you can tell the difference immediately, jaggies, screen tearing, bad textures and draw distances, pop in to the max and low blurry resolution just doesnt cut it after coming straight from PC. but you wouldnt know that would u
Actually i am talkin from experience i've seen Skyrim on Pc before i even saw it on Consoles. It was what made me want to go give the game a try. So your accusation is null. I already know that Youtube videos makes it look blurry i told you this when i told you to look at the Uncharted 3 video. But your still not getting it.. blurry PC Skyrim is blurry Console Skyrim as well and its still similar. Saying that PC isnt as blurry but thinking Consoles still are is what make your statement viod..
@DiamondFang no your not talking from experience, thats only one game buddy, so the rest is just heresay, grapevine stuff, hunches based on your fanboyism, its like being a witness in court without actually seeing the crime. hunches based on badly made and badly put together comparison. all it takes is a good comparison vid to disprove you, fact is except for the above there isnt many. any other crysis comparison you cant tell the difference, the above vid shows there is
Welp, whatever like i said i already proven my point any person can see multiplatform PC games look indentical to the console versions. I have not only seen Skyrim on PC genius i've seen and played many Pc games like i already stated. But you say i have no "experience" which again shows your fanboyism. Your accusation is viod and your just mad that its come to this. The above video here shows a PC exculsive that was ported to Consoles. Like i said multiplatform, case and point..
@DiamondFang installing games on your underpowered expensive laptop dont count. i have played many games on my PC. and then played them on my nephews xbox and my mates PS3 and can tell you after sitting with a game on pc and getting used to how the graphics and engine runs on the system then going to a console version you can tell the difference right away. even in games like COD where there is little difference. the resolution change is enough, it just looks so dam garish compared
Your excuses are tiring stop trying to find any reason to argue and face facts. And the reason i say this? because once again your accusation is wrong i do not use a underpowered PC. I use either my friends gaming Pc which is unneceassrily decked out or a gaming PC from the mall (more the latter). And the differences are still minor at best. Oh wait.. now your going to say that somethings wrong with those PCs right? gtfo here stop looking for any reason to debate, its over.
@DiamondFang a gaming PC from the mall? peering at cutscenes through a shop window with no idea what graphics settings its on is your idea of sitting down for a long session soaking in all the effects and how the system handles the engine. your a good one, the debate is over. it was over long ago, anyway there was no debate, how can you debate with someone who has no experience, its like someone telling you about the experience of driving a formula one car from reading it in a book
..immediately dismiss whatever i say and twist my words.. Every point i make there is now some magical reason why it isnt relevant. Instead of assessing what i say you just say i have no "experience". So yeah your right this debates been over i got my point accross. Multiplatform games are similar, examples are everywhere, your just to being to butthurt to take that in for some reason.
Now if you excuse me i just purchased Final Fantasy 13-2 and is eager to play it..
Awhhh "kiddo" thats cute because you think your being clever. Just remember one thing tho. As you continue playing your PC multiplatform games dont be amazed when they keep turning out like COD, Skyrim, Crysis 2 and more. Becuase its going to stay that way.
@DiamondFang your reliability as a source of "factual" information is non-extistent, its like planning the splitting of Atoms with a dude who watched a lite 30min TV documentary on it.experience of PC gaming a shopping mall PC,i bet on you and your mates pilgrimage to the world of PC gaming you already had your mind made up before you got there. lol. why go to all the trouble of that when your mate has a gaming PC anyway.its hardly "Laboratory conditions" for making a good judgement
Stop replying you lose. Your not saying anything new your just saying i have no experience and then give off some weird ass comparison example. It doesnt take a rocket scientist to look at multigames and exculsives and see the differences are minor in multigames.
"why go to all the trouble of that when your mate has a gaming PC" i tire of repeating myself i'll just copy what i already said
"I use either my friends gaming Pc which is unneceassrily decked out or a gaming PC from
You just dismiss whatever facts i give you thats how you satisfy yourself example?
"i bet on you and your mates pilgrimage to the world of PC gaming you already had your mind made up before you got there" Wrong my friend was into PC long before i took notice. Saying that terribly wrong accusation you feel justify to ignore everything i just said under the belief of your scenerio. Like i said youo have no argument and you not accepting it makes you reply onwards.
@DiamondFang what facts have you ever give me? where are these FACTS you talk of, its all based on your hunches. i dont remember you giving me actual facts. and when pushed on your experience of PC gaming you folded and told you have very little PC gaming experience so how can you compare with little knowledge.the only FACT is you keep repeating to everybody this sentence in varying ways "The differences are minor at best" or "nominal" or "negligible".WITHOUT ANY PROVABLE EXPERIENCE
Your dumb.. like seriously i try to refrain from insults but its the only way to actually assest it your dumb. What facts? I'll tell you one more time but you better fuckin listen. Playing ANY multiplatform games shows the differences between exculsives and multiplatform. When its multiplatform like Crysis 2, the difference are nowhere near this level, its minor. Your a delusional Fucknut that cant accept simple truths because your blind fanboyism. And yes, your deslusional i folded?? The hell..
@DiamondFang all im saying is without any experience of both how can you judge which is better or what the differences are. fuck me your dum, its like test driving a car, you test drive VW golf. you cant turn around and say ive tested the golf but the Ferrari doesnt come to much better although ive never driven one but my mate has one and i sat in it once and there was one parked up at the shopping mall and i looked at it in passing. Dont you get it? you have no opinion
are you talking about. I did shit like that. I have PC gaming experince i've told you this you just dont want to listen because you KNOW at this point if you acknowledge that then you have no argument so you resort to denial. Its sad really. All you can say at this point is "uh uh" with no facts. Provable experience? stfu you show some provable experince. Cause so far all you have been doing is mouthing off with no facts. I play both Pc and Console but more on the latter. You failed point simple
@DiamondFang oh now you game on PC. change your tune to suit your stance, a few hours ago the only experience you had was a gaming PC in a shopping mall your mate dragged you to
You did exactly as i said you would in my previous post. Which was
"Your not saying anything new your just saying i have no experience and then give off some weird ass comparison example."
weird ass comparisons like test driving wtf? I'd admit you are definitely the best Troll i have ever met on the internet but thats about the only thing about you thats right so far.
I did not "change my stance" i have gamed on PC plenty of times either during my own time at the mall or with my friend..
Your underminded ways to trying to make it seem that i have no experience just truly how desperate you are to find any reason to argue. I dont need to say anything.. You can look at this video and then PerfectHands Crysis 2 video and see the differences between Consoles ported Crysis1 and Pc Crysis1 vs Console Crysis2 and PC Crysis2 is VERY different. Cry1 shows differences in graphics and Cry2 shows little differnces in graphics.
@DiamondFang reading through all this you did kinda say your experience in PC gaming comprised of a PC in a shop. on many many counts that isnt enough experience to be able judge wether or not PC graphics are up to scratch or not. 1.PCs from shops usually suck, what was in this PC? what resolution was the monitor, what game were you playing and did you have control or any knowledge of what the graphics settings were? it all sound rather silly and does make your opinions kinda muted
First off, go back to your first account your not fooling anyone. Second of all you saying thats not enough experince again shows how desperate you are i have actually put time into gaming at those store.. i better, after all you get timed based on pay. They all standard Alienware Gaming Pcs and the specs are on the different PCs. Some are as powerful as Custom PCs with at least 6GB Ram all have Radeon graphic cards about 135$ according to the store manager which is also a loose friend.
@VGComps yes so how can he judge on all PC games without actually sitting down and playing them and soaking it in. hes just projecting what he hopes without actualy knowing either way. and stating them as facts. he wont even answer your questions about this Shopping mall PC becuase he probs made that up too. says he has a mate with a gaming PC, tell him to add me on Steam, "mitzibishi" ill be able to tell if hes using his own laptop steam account aswell. root this fool out
@mitzibishi omg you people are still going back and forth... people, understand its called OPINION. O-P-I-N-I-O-N. everyone has one, and they're not always gonna be exactly like yours. that is human nature, to have free will. what is wong with people today, unable to understand that? instead they just act like their opinion is fact.
just get over it. move on. understand that its my opinion, not yours. stop being so stubborn.
@OriginalZero your on call 24 hours, an on call troll to laugh at. im sorry if you have a puny system to play games on, not my fault dont be bitter about it
@mitzibishi intel i5-750 quad core cpu, 16gb DDR3 RAM @1333mhz (CAS rating of 7), AMD Radeon HD 6950 with 2gb GDDR5 (shader unlock mod) are my overall specs. motherboard is a shitty intel board, but i run every game, including crysis and BF3 maxed out at 1080p. my system can handle the game just fine, i just prefer the lighting on the console version of crysis. you can't seem to understand that its my opinion though.
@OriginalZero first of all you never stated the lighting as your opinion, you stated that as a fact that the lighting was better because it was your opinion. so you prefer to play a far inferior version in every way because 1 has a blue tint?
@mitzibishi I don't own the console version. no point seeing as how i already own the pc version. i stated that the lighting engines are different between the two engines, and that i preferred the way that the console build has its lighting set up. i always said that over and over again. i'm not talking about the game as a whole, duh the pc version is better. but the one thing i prefer on the console version is the lighting.
@mitzibishi seriously, kid. you need to stop acting like you have to either love something or hate something. you can pick things apart deeper and like certain aspects of a game. i like certain aspects of the console version. that doesn't mean i think its superior. not sure why you people on youtube can't seem to READ.
@OriginalZero so which is better then, stop trying to goto the old lighting argument. 1 is better 1 is worse. lighting or not 1 is better, far far better, graphics and gameplay wise. which is it, i go PC. you go.........?
@mitzibishi as a whole, the pc version is better. said that already, or did you just skip over that. i've said time and time again, i prefer (OPINION ALERT) the lighting on the console version. but i never said it was better as a whole. as a whole, duh the pc version is better. higher res textures, better draw distance, more foliage, more realistic water rendering, etc. i just always said that the lighting IMHO looked better in the CE3 build. and it is relevant.
@OriginalZero about time you "got" that it wasnt the actual engine differences but the devs design choice(to cover up flaws and remove direct comparison with PC version) that made the lighting that way, took you awhile but you got there in the end. it can actually sink in with you cant it. yes you have an opinion, so what, some people have opinions that Britney Spears makes the bestest music
@mitzibishi no i'm not "getting" the BS you're throwing around. i'm just tired of your hypocrisy. and bestest isn't a word, btw. are you in middle school? the lighting engine is different, that much is obvious. look at the developer notes on cryengine 3, they changed the lighting engine. yes they used color correction to change the tone of the lighting, but the way the engine renders light and shadows is also very different, hence more pronounced shadows. YOU can't understand english
@OriginalZero "bestest" you obviously dont get the tie in with Britney Spears fans word choices. some people have opinions Caddyshack 2 is better than Caddyshack. The crytek notes also said that Crysis console is the graphically superior version overall, better than PC, the "bestest" lol. i wouldnt take much stock in what Crytek says anymore. they arnt a very reliable source of factual info anymore kid. look the lighting in Crysis 2 PC is no better that Crysis 1s PCs lighting
@mitzibishi you keep preaching opinion and shit but you aren't using your own advice. i've said it over and over again, its my opinion. i prefer the way the console build handles lighting. the lighting engine IS different and it shows with how light bleeds and shines in comparison to CE2. it is FACT that the lighting engine is different. but it is OPINION on if you like it or not, which I do. get your FACTS and OPINIONS straight, and stop trying to force yours into my head.
@OriginalZero are you talking to yourself about opinion/fact? opinions are opinions, some opinions are lesser than others or even factually incorrect, thats the thing about opinions, they can be incorrect. using another metaphor (google "metaphor") some people have the opinion that evolution has not occurred and some people count a blue tint and over saturated bloom & contrast as vastly superior lighting lol dope
@mitzibishi no i don't count that as a superior lighting technique, i count the fact that they went from a direct light rendering engine to a deferred lighting engine a good move, and a better one for what they were trying to do. once again i never said that it was FACTUALLY better, in my opinion it LOOKS better. but if you compare, spec for spec, the lighting engines as their own, the deferred lighting is superior, albeit for specific reasons.
@OriginalZero cont.... vastly superior lighting on a system that cant run the game itself at full spec compared to the PC version but SOMEHOW the lighting is, in your words vastly superior. mmm, it seems odd that the console barely runs it at 30fps, framerate dipping allover, in every other aspect the devs dropped the quality so the consoles can cope, but for some reason the lighting is much much better. does logic evade you?
@mitzibishi because if the game was still using the direct lighting engine, it wouldn't run at all. once again you keep comparing the game as a whole to each other, thats not what i'm doing. i've stated that i prefer the PC version as a whole, i just prefer the way lighting is handled in the console build. i never said consoles were better, so plz stay on topic k?
@OriginalZero yes and i will keep comparing it as a whole, what am i not allowed to have an opinion now after all your speeches. what happened to your freedom of speech motif? opinions are opinion, some people have an opinion that the holocaust didnt really happen also some people have an opinion that a blue tint and over saturated bloom & contrast is counted as better lighting. Crysis 2 CE3 doesnt really have the Dynamic physics based lighting effects.
@mitzibishi you are allowed to have an opinion, but you don't have to be a total prick about it. i was never comparing the games as a whole to each other, just a single part but you kept saying "how is it better how is it better", only reading what you wanted to read and drowning out the rest. read EVERYTHING i type first before you respond, please. and actually ANALYZE what i say. then we can actually have an intelligent conversation, otherwise you're just talking like a retard.
@mitzibishi and you still aren't listening to what i said earlier either. i didn't say over saturated bloom, contrast, and a tweaked tint made the lighting better. seriously, did you ever learn how to read? i've said it time and time again why i preferred the look. the way light shines around objects in CE3 to me looks better. the light is bright and the bloom effects are stronger, making shadows pop out much more. i've said it over and over again, try actually READING it this time
@OriginalZero ive read your crap, you keep going on about CE3 again when its not the CE3 thats making it brighter or bloomier, Crysis 2 with CE3 on PC doesnt look any more superior lighting wise than Crysis 1 PC with CE2,in some cases like i said with the dynamic physics based lighting effects CE3 is lesser,a dumbed down engine allover, here its a design choice by the devs. you had it a page back but now youv lost it again. just sit and simmer for awhile you it may come back to you
@mitzibishi you're comparing the games again. stop comparing the games. the games don't make the engine, the engine makes the game. i don't need to simmer, you need to seriously shut up. i've stated my opinion on why i feel that the console version of crysis has better lighting. you keep trying to "correct" me. that means that you think i'm wrong, which means that you think you're right. its called opinion. listen to your own words. grow up.
@mitzibishi crysis 2 was a console game first and foremost. i understand that. do you? no you don't. all the in game assets were created with consoles in mind, hence why the textures are shit. hence why the water doesn't look as good. the fact that the game was designed on the console first is what dumbed down the game, not the engine. the engine is capable of so much more, there are videos proving that.
@OriginalZero hence why the whole engine is lesser.hence why every aspect of the console version of crysis 1 is lesser. even the lighting, your not putting 2 and 2 together are you. you know "logic" for the last fucking time,if every other aspect of crysis 1 is lesser so the game is able to run at a comfortable frame rate why the fuck do you imagine that the lighting is far superior to the PC version?why the fuck would they sacrifice everything else for a little lighting thick cunt
@OriginalZero Dynamic physics based lighting effects.like when a set off birds are flying and the cast a realtime shadow in the sky or when an object flys up in the air and you can see a realtime shadow cast from it. Crysis 2 just seems like a dumbed down engine allover, even lighting.in theory defered lighting is better but if the game struggles with everything else why spend all the resources on pushing lighting?its all theory that it could be better.its just bloom and blue tint
@mitzibishi and you bring up the "tint and bloom" shit again, acting like you won.
i'm sure CE3 is capable of doing everything that CE2 is, seeing as how they never removed anything from the engine, just modified CE2 like hell and added things. the only thing removed was the lighting engine, to put in the new one. and the engine DOES support per object lighting. remember C2 is a consolized game. its a console game first and foremost. but the engine is not.
@OriginalZero it does support it but they didnt implement is as high or couldnt have it as high becuase of engine restraints in Crysis 2 but by your opinion they really let rip with crysis 1 console. its a dumbed down version all around, lighting included, you just cant seem to grasp that a game is dumbed down so much to run it would have superior lighting ramped up just for the hell of it. i think you listen to Cryteks propaganda too much. nobody listens to crytek anymore, except u
@mitzibishi because you can't seem to grasp that its MY OPINION. how many times do i have to say that? i don't care what crytek says, crysis looks good but the CE2 is a shit engine as when they released it you COULDN"T EVEN RUN IT. even today systems can't run it smoothly without top hardware. the engine uses only 2 gigs memory MAX, and barely uses more than 1 thread on my quad core i5. its a poorly op
OriginalZero 3 hours ago

PC looks miles better
they are using heaps of that shitty blue bloom to hide its running on a mix of medium and low on consoles
console verrsions of Crysis also drop to as low as 2 frames per second... lol, they also run at like 1024x600 with no AA

Anyone who says the X-box version is better is an idiot, Granted it has a better TOD implementation which gives it the appearance that it's better but in every way the PC version just blows it out the water.

Schmidteren 1 week ago
I suppose "better" is a nebulous term sometimes. I believe that's why this topic is even under debate. In this case I would say "better" means more detailed and more realistic since that's the type of visuals Crysis is meant to present. To some people "better" means more artistic and provoking. The console version has a much bolder and artfully colored aesthetic while the PC version is geared toward detail and realism. For many games I prefer the more artistic style, for Crysis I prefer realism.
PerfectHandVideos 1 week ago

And dont get me started on the textures very few pc games today have texture detail that can match crysis

nejisdeath 1 week ago
You pc morons who think the PC version looks better are in severe denial. Even crytek said this looks b
nejisdeath 1 week ago
@nejisdeath Of course they did, they're trying to sell a product. Granted, the console version is more colorful, but the PC version is demonstrably more realistic and has higher image quality, better animation, and better performance. I think they used the more "artsy" color palette and overblown lighting to cover up the lack of detail. Watch this video in 1080p on a decent display and the differences should be obvious.
PerfectHandVideos 1 week ago 4
@PerfectHandVideos
is a 1080p LED Samung display good enough?
nejisdeath 1 week ago
@PerfectHandVideos
Just damn
nejisdeath 1 week ago
@nejisdeath
DiamondFang 1 week ago
@PerfectHandVideos yes pc version looks more clear but "artsy" color palette to cover things up? thats cryengine 3 lighting, its a better lighting model than cryengine 2's. it allows much more dynamic light sources at a much lower hit on performance, and overall more realistic lighting. things that are meant to be bright are bright, shadows are much more pronounced, etc. console has nicer lighting, pc has nicer everything else. it wasn't a "cover up" like you say, its tech.

OriginalZero 5 hours ago
@OriginalZero isnt Crysis console low/medium, with medium lighting. oh no by your opinion its low/medium but with uber ultra ultra ultra lighting lol dont you get that logic of tech defies that
mitzibishi 5 hours ago
@mitzibishi i'm not comparing the shadow quality. i'm not comparing how many light sources are used to light any given scene. i'm using the idea that the lighting just looks damn good for a console game. i'm using my eyes. and to me it looks better. i've said that over and over again, why are you being such a nazi? just shut your yap already. this wasn't a war to be won, just a simple matter of one person (me) stating my opinion and another person (you) disagreeing with me.
OriginalZero 4 hours ago
@OriginalZero nobody except console fanboys who are in blind denial thinks that the blue tint and bloom over saturation looks good dude. your an undercover agent here, your starting to sound like 1 of those dudes that deny anything on the PC version looks better, you must be a "console rulez!!11" guy. nobody without a console agenda thinks that BLUE TINT looks better than the realistic look with better shading of the PC version.
mitzibishi 4 hours ago
@nejisdeath you're blind right? that guy from crytek also said that they'd run 25-30 frames capped yet the console versions regularly hit below 20fps. now the lighting in the console version, imho, looks much better than the pc version. deferred rendering ftw. shadows are much more pronounced, and bloom and light rays look much better. but the pc version has higher resolution textures, the water looks alot nicer, and the amount of flora is amazing on pc. you ppls should grow up.
OriginalZero 1 week ago
@OriginalZero yeh i love how everything is contrasted up to the max and everything has a weird blue tint. thats what i call better lighting dunno about anyone else. by the way the shadows are of a lower resolution on consoles
mitzibishi 1 week ago
@mitzibishi -.- the game has more pronounced shadows and bloom, light shafts, yes an after effect of their new lighting engine is a blue tint.
OriginalZero 1 week ago
@mitzibishi also when i've been saying more pronounced shadows i didn't mean higher resolution. i know they're low res, but shadows pop out more in comparison to on the pc.
OriginalZero 1 week ago
@OriginalZero so your saying console is best because it is brighter with a blue tint and shadows pop out more, although in every other way its inferior
mitzibishi 1 week ago
@OriginalZero 8:50 is a perfect example of lighting, the console version hasnt got as much going on as the PC version. consolers like to throw around this vague term of lighting, aslo do not confuse "lighting" with "shading" either
mitzibishi 1 week ago
@mitzibishi i understand what lighting and shading are. you don't seem to understand that for the console port, the game moved from one game engine to the other, and also moved from one lighting engine to the other. the way both engines handle dynamic lights are vastly different. i'm not saying one is better than the other, but i prefer the lighting on the console version due to how it makes shadows pop and puts more emphasis on objects.
OriginalZero 1 week ago
@OriginalZero "how it makes shadows pop and puts more emphasis on objects." in other words, increased contrast. it isnt really the engine thats making that lighting so bright, crysis 2 on PC uses CE3 and it doesnt look like that, it looks similar to CE2. the reason its all bright and over saturated is a design decision by crytek to cover up any flaws and confuse to people like you or give them an excuses. to you the lighting is better, but the other 90% of game is not. simple
mitzibishi 1 week ago
@mitzibishi i never said it was better than the pc version, thanks for stating the obvious. i just said that i prefer the lighting in the console version.
OriginalZero 1 week ago
@OriginalZero doesnt the blue tint look weird to you? seriously, your looking at that blue tint and saying things are better than a realistically lit version. with better shading all over the shop. i think Crytek mentioned lighting(they lied about Crysis on consoles being better than PC) to give consolers a get out claus when discussing the inferiority of the console game. CE3 lighting is not better than CE2, Crysis 1 and Crysis 2 lighting on the PC is near identical.
mitzibishi 1 week ago
@mitzibishi maybe to you the lighting is the same but when i played C2 on the pc i was awestruck by the lighting. light shafts were more pronounced, far away lights shined bright.
OriginalZero 1 week ago
@mitzibishi the blue tint does look odd but at the same time has a cooler look to it (cool as in temp). once again its just my opinion please don't try to beat yours into my head.
OriginalZero 1 week ago
@OriginalZero a cooler look? its a tropical island and the sun is blaring down. and it looks cool?
mitzibishi 1 week ago
@mitzibishi yes. have you ever lived on a tropical island? if you stand in the sun its crazy hot but the shade under a tree feels cool. its hard to explain.
OriginalZero 1 week ago
@OriginalZero oh i see they went realistic with ramping up the blue RGB. yes you have Crytek all worked out. its not the engine doing that, its the devs covering up any failings the version may have if they were idenitcally lit, theyv ramped up the satuaration to change it up to avoid direct comparison. and consolers have used it as a getout claus. C2 PC and console has similar lighting, nothing like this.C1 and C2 PC has similar lighting, its a design choice

@DiamondFang thats an amatuerish comparison vid you linked right there. dont subject me to your awfull comparison vids unless its as good as this crysis comparison
mitzibishi 3 weeks ago

amatuerish why? because it shows a more valid point? Crysis 1 was made for PC then PORTED to consoles. Crysis2 wasnt and thus shows what multiplatform PC games look like in comparison to consoles.. PC still better graphic wise but you see the line bewteen them beginning to thin.
What you basically just said was: "Thats stupid, dont show me a more balanced comparison unless its more one sided like this video"
DiamondFang 3 weeks ago
@DiamondFang amatuerish because this video is the definition of a good comparison, that vid was the same as all the others, it shows nothing. it doesnt even have the high rez texture pack or dx11 so the pc version is handicapped from the start. it doesnt show texture differences, draw distances or dx11 vs dx9. id go with perfect hands comparisons anytime
mitzibishi 3 weeks ago
@mitzibishi THIS video is a good comparison at the max level of each. But i would like to point out that not every person is going to have maxed out play. Graphics doesnt appy to every person and some if not most ppl would rather just play the game.
That being said altho that video didnt have it maxed its still just as good as this one because it shows the differences bewteen PC and consoles in there most natural form. In there natural forms the difference bewteen PC and consoles for Crysis 2
DiamondFang 2 weeks ago
@mitzibishi
.. begins to thin.

You at this point is jus trying to go around the fact and i dont care for that. on a balanced video like that the graphic difference are
DiamondFang 2 weeks ago
@mitzibishi
minor at best.
DiamondFang 2 weeks ago
@DiamondFang you dont count 1080p because the hardware isnt powerfull enough to render games at 1080p anymore, let alone 720p, im suprised it wasnt lower. although ive heard the PS3s framerate drops all the time so they mayswell have lowered the rezo even more for the PS3 to level out the choppy framerates
mitzibishi 2 weeks ago
PS3 can go to 1080p but the best quality would be 720p DUE to its limits. You make it seem like the fact that it performs bad on 1080p makes it look bad. No.. on the contary 720p has better performance than its 1080p counterpart. Dont know where you heard PS3 cant render 720p espcially since 720p is native for nearly every PS3 game out.
Anyways.. like i said unenhanced Crysis 2 more balanced as that vid shows. When enhanced more of a difference but nowhere as close to Crysis 1 which was ported.
DiamondFang 2 weeks ago
@DiamondFang no dx11 and high rez textures is official, its the vanilla game for PC, it was released with a later patch, thats why the vid didnt show it, but now its the vanilla game, if you buy crysis 2 now its in there with the install. of course a game looks bad if it performs bad in 1080p, if it runs at 10 frames per second it definately looks bad mate, unplayable. the ps3 is old now, it cant perform as well in higher resolutions, it never has

@mitzibishi
DiamondFang 2 weeks ago
@DiamondFang more balanced because it doesnt improve on crysis 1, if it was as it would be a leap as crysis was 5 years ago, yet it is not a leap forward but a slight step back, and the engine was downgraded for 1, its made to fit on the lower end hardware which consoles are. and DX11 is default, on my computer it is
VGComps 2 weeks ago
@VGComps
DiamondFang 2 weeks ago
@DiamondFang dx11 is default on my computer
VGComps 2 weeks ago
@DiamondFang The devs made C1 FOR pc then ported the game to xbox. This is why you see a huge graphical discrepancy between two versions. C2 was made FOR consoles then they just released the pc version for money. Thus you don't see much graphical difference between two versions. Dx11, had they made C2 FOR pc, would have been default and console version woulda had the dumbed down version. But since it was made FOR consoles, Dx11 adds almost nothing to the game cuz devs never used dx11 functions.

@amsd1231

@DiamondFang skyrim looks miles better due to draw distances and textures
VGComps 1 week ago
@VGComps
DiamondFang 1 week ago
@DiamondFang you have proved it? what you saying it has proved? doesnt mean that its proof at all. so now you pick and choose what you class as "graphics" as long as it suites you. what is generated onscreen by the GPU is graphics. that includes draw distances of objects, the appearing and disapeering of objects and the switching between the high and low texture of an object and distances of that are generated by the GPU, the devs lower it for consoles to not stress the weak GPUs
mitzibishi 1 week ago
@mitzibishi
DiamondFang 1 week ago
@DiamondFang didnt you atlk of multiplatform games? you mentioned Crysis 2 and he mentioned Skyrim. now hes not allowed to talk about any other games because it doesnt suite your weak argument. What you class as graphics changes to suite your current argument, awhile back i heard you say that resolution does not class as graphics. look, whatever is onscreen is classed as graphics. whatever the CPU and GPU put onscreen is "graphics". so then, what do you class as "graphics" dude?
mitzibishi 1 week ago
.. again the graphics is not very different..
DiamondFang 1 week ago
..end of the day, whats on screen is what matters, in which again doesnt show much.
Leave PH vid out of this
DiamondFang 1 week ago
@DiamondFang but your not talking from experience are you, its all heresay, looking at badly made, badly encoded and compressed youtube comparisons is the basis for your argument. therefore its null. i have played console after playing the same game on PC and you can tell the difference immediately, jaggies, screen tearing, bad textures and draw distances, pop in to the max and low blurry resolution just doesnt cut it after coming straight from PC. but you wouldnt know that would u
mitzibishi 1 week ago
Actually i am talkin from experience i've seen Skyrim on Pc before i even saw it on Consoles. It was what made me want to go give the game a try. So your accusation is null. I already know that Youtube videos makes it look blurry i told you this when i told you to look at the Uncharted 3 video. But your still not getting it.. blurry PC Skyrim is blurry Console Skyrim as well and its still similar. Saying that PC isnt as blurry but thinking Consoles still are is what make your statement viod..
DiamondFang 1 week ago
@DiamondFang no your not talking from experience, thats only one game buddy, so the rest is just heresay, grapevine stuff, hunches based on your fanboyism, its like being a witness in court without actually seeing the crime. hunches based on badly made and badly put together comparison. all it takes is a good comparison vid to disprove you, fact is except for the above there isnt many. any other crysis comparison you cant tell the difference, the above vid shows there is
mitzibishi 1 week ago
@mitzibishi
DiamondFang 1 week ago
@DiamondFang installing games on your underpowered expensive laptop dont count. i have played many games on my PC. and then played them on my nephews xbox and my mates PS3 and can tell you after sitting with a game on pc and getting used to how the graphics and engine runs on the system then going to a console version you can tell the difference right away. even in games like COD where there is little difference. the resolution change is enough, it just looks so dam garish compared
mitzibishi 1 week ago
@mitzibishi
DiamondFang 1 week ago
@DiamondFang a gaming PC from the mall? peering at cutscenes through a shop window with no idea what graphics settings its on is your idea of sitting down for a long session soaking in all the effects and how the system handles the engine. your a good one, the debate is over. it was over long ago, anyway there was no debate, how can you debate with someone who has no experience, its like someone telling you about the experience of driving a formula one car from reading it in a book
mitzibishi 1 week ago
..immediately dismiss whatever i say and twist my words..
DiamondFang 1 week ago
@DiamondFang ok kiddo, get back to that MALL for more PC gameplay "experience" to base your hunches on lol. you have been dismissed now, totally.
mitzibishi 1 week ago
@mitzibishi

Like i said youo have no argument and you not accepting it makes you reply onwards.
DiamondFang 1 week ago
@DiamondFang what facts have you ever give me? where are these FACTS you talk of, its all based on your hunches. i dont remember you giving me actual facts. and when pushed on your experience of PC gaming you folded and told you have very little PC gaming experience so how can you compare with little knowledge.the only FACT is you keep repeating to everybody this sentence in varying ways "The differences are minor at best" or "nominal" or "negligible".WITHOUT ANY PROVABLE EXPERIENCE
mitzibishi 1 week ago
Your dumb.. like seriously i try to refrain from insults but its the only way to actually assest it your dumb. The hell..
DiamondFang 1 week ago
@DiamondFang all im saying is without any experience of both how can you judge which is better or what the differences are. fuck me your dum, its like test driving a car, you test drive VW golf. you cant turn around and say ive tested the golf but the Ferrari doesnt come to much better although ive never driven one but my mate has one and i sat in it once and there was one parked up at the shopping mall and i looked at it in passing. Dont you get it? you have no opinion
mitzibishi 1 week ago
are you talking about.

DiamondFang 1 week ago
Your underminded ways to trying to make it seem that i have no experience just truly how desperate you are to find any reason to argue. I dont need to say anything.. You can look at this video and then PerfectHands Crysis 2 video and see the differences between Consoles ported Crysis1 and Pc Crysis1 vs Console Crysis2 and PC Crysis2 is VERY different. Cry1 shows differences in graphics and Cry2 shows little differnces in graphics.
DiamondFang 1 week ago
@DiamondFang reading through all this you did kinda say your experience in PC gaming comprised of a PC in a shop. on many many counts that isnt enough experience to be able judge wether or not PC graphics are up to scratch or not. 1.PCs from shops usually suck, what was in this PC? what resolution was the monitor, what game were you playing and did you have control or any knowledge of what the graphics settings were? it all sound rather silly and does make your opinions kinda muted
VGComps 1 week ago
First off, go back to your first account your not fooling anyone. Second of all you saying thats not enough experince again shows how desperate you are i have actually put time into gaming at those store.. i better, after all you get timed based on pay. They all standard Alienware Gaming Pcs and the specs are on the different PCs. Some are as powerful as Custom PCs with at least 6GB Ram all have Radeon graphic cards about 135$ according to the store manager which is also a loose friend.
DiamondFang 1 week ago
@VGComps yes so how can he judge on all PC games without actually sitting down and playing them and soaking it in. hes just projecting what he hopes without actualy knowing either way. and stating them as facts. he wont even answer your questions about this Shopping mall PC becuase he probs made that up too. says he has a mate with a gaming PC, tell him to add me on Steam, "mitzibishi" ill be able to tell if hes using his own laptop steam account aswell. root this fool out

OriginalZero 17 hours ago
@OriginalZero good at googling, so what
mitzibishi 17 hours ago
@mitzibishi really? get on steam and add me. i'll pm you. take a look at screenshots, all taken on my comp.
OriginalZero 17 hours ago
@OriginalZero first of all you never stated the lighting as your opinion, you stated that as a fact that the lighting was better because it was your opinion. so you prefer to play a far inferior version in every way because 1 has a blue tint?
mitzibishi 17 hours ago
@mitzibishi I don't own the console version. no point seeing as how i already own the pc version. i stated that the lighting engines are different between the two engines, and that i preferred the way that the console build has its lighting set up. i always said that over and over again. i'm not talking about the game as a whole, duh the pc version is better. but the one thing i prefer on the console version is the lighting.
OriginalZero 16 hours ago
@mitzibishi seriously, kid. you need to stop acting like you have to either love something or hate something. you can pick things apart deeper and like certain aspects of a game. i like certain aspects of the console version. that doesn't mean i think its superior. not sure why you people on youtube can't seem to READ.
OriginalZero 16 hours ago
@OriginalZero so which is better then, stop trying to goto the old lighting argument. 1 is better 1 is worse. lighting or not 1 is better, far far better, graphics and gameplay wise. which is it, i go PC. you go.........?
mitzibishi 15 hours ago
@mitzibishi as a whole, the pc version is better. said that already, or did you just skip over that. i've said time and time again, i prefer (OPINION ALERT) the lighting on the console version. but i never said it was better as a whole. as a whole, duh the pc version is better. higher res textures, better draw distance, more foliage, more realistic water rendering, etc. i just always said that the lighting IMHO looked better in the CE3 build. and it is relevant.
OriginalZero 8 hours ago
@OriginalZero about time you "got" that it wasnt the actual engine differences but the devs design choice(to cover up flaws and remove direct comparison with PC version) that made the lighting that way, took you awhile but you got there in the end. it can actually sink in with you cant it. yes you have an opinion, so what, some people have opinions that Britney Spears makes the bestest music
mitzibishi 7 hours ago
@mitzibishi no i'm not "getting" the BS you're throwing around. i'm just tired of your hypocrisy. and bestest isn't a word, btw. are you in middle school? the lighting engine is different, that much is obvious. look at the developer notes on cryengine 3, they changed the lighting engine. yes they used color correction to change the tone of the lighting, but the way the engine renders light and shadows is also very different, hence more pronounced shadows. YOU can't understand english
OriginalZero 7 hours ago
@OriginalZero "bestest" you obviously dont get the tie in with Britney Spears fans word choices. some people have opinions Caddyshack 2 is better than Caddyshack. The crytek notes also said that Crysis console is the graphically superior version overall, better than PC, the "bestest" lol. i wouldnt take much stock in what Crytek says anymore. they arnt a very reliable source of factual info anymore kid. look the lighting in Crysis 2 PC is no better that Crysis 1s PCs lighting
mitzibishi 6 hours ago
@mitzibishi you keep preaching opinion and shit but you aren't using your own advice. i've said it over and over again, its my opinion. i prefer the way the console build handles lighting. the lighting engine IS different and it shows with how light bleeds and shines in comparison to CE2. it is FACT that the lighting engine is different. but it is OPINION on if you like it or not, which I do. get your FACTS and OPINIONS straight, and stop trying to force yours into my head.
OriginalZero 6 hours ago
@OriginalZero are you talking to yourself about opinion/fact? opinions are opinions, some opinions are lesser than others or even factually incorrect, thats the thing about opinions, they can be incorrect. using another metaphor (google "metaphor") some people have the opinion that evolution has not occurred and some people count a blue tint and over saturated bloom & contrast as vastly superior lighting lol dope
mitzibishi 5 hours ago
@mitzibishi no i don't count that as a superior lighting technique, i count the fact that they went from a direct light rendering engine to a deferred lighting engine a good move, and a better one for what they were trying to do. once again i never said that it was FACTUALLY better, in my opinion it LOOKS better. but if you compare, spec for spec, the lighting engines as their own, the deferred lighting is superior, albeit for specific reasons.
OriginalZero 5 hours ago
@OriginalZero cont.... vastly superior lighting on a system that cant run the game itself at full spec compared to the PC version but SOMEHOW the lighting is, in your words vastly superior. mmm, it seems odd that the console barely runs it at 30fps, framerate dipping allover, in every other aspect the devs dropped the quality so the consoles can cope, but for some reason the lighting is much much better. does logic evade you?
mitzibishi 5 hours ago
@mitzibishi because if the game was still using the direct lighting engine, it wouldn't run at all. once again you keep comparing the game as a whole to each other, thats not what i'm doing. i've stated that i prefer the PC version as a whole, i just prefer the way lighting is handled in the console build. i never said consoles were better, so plz stay on topic k?
OriginalZero 5 hours ago
@OriginalZero yes and i will keep comparing it as a whole, what am i not allowed to have an opinion now after all your speeches. what happened to your freedom of speech motif? opinions are opinion, some people have an opinion that the holocaust didnt really happen also some people have an opinion that a blue tint and over saturated bloom & contrast is counted as better lighting. Crysis 2 CE3 doesnt really have the Dynamic physics based lighting effects.
mitzibishi 5 hours ago
@mitzibishi you are allowed to have an opinion, but you don't have to be a total prick about it. i was never comparing the games as a whole to each other, just a single part but you kept saying "how is it better how is it better", only reading what you wanted to read and drowning out the rest. read EVERYTHING i type first before you respond, please. and actually ANALYZE what i say. then we can actually have an intelligent conversation, otherwise you're just talking like a retard.
OriginalZero 5 hours ago
@mitzibishi and you still aren't listening to what i said earlier either. i didn't say over saturated bloom, contrast, and a tweaked tint made the lighting better. seriously, did you ever learn how to read? i've said it time and time again why i preferred the look. the way light shines around objects in CE3 to me looks better. the light is bright and the bloom effects are stronger, making shadows pop out much more. i've said it over and over again, try actually READING it this time
OriginalZero 5 hours ago
@OriginalZero ive read your crap, you keep going on about CE3 again when its not the CE3 thats making it brighter or bloomier, Crysis 2 with CE3 on PC doesnt look any more superior lighting wise than Crysis 1 PC with CE2,in some cases like i said with the dynamic physics based lighting effects CE3 is lesser,a dumbed down engine allover, here its a design choice by the devs. you had it a page back but now youv lost it again. just sit and simmer for awhile you it may come back to you
mitzibishi 5 hours ago
@mitzibishi you're comparing the games again. stop comparing the games. the games don't make the engine, the engine makes the game. i don't need to simmer, you need to seriously shut up. i've stated my opinion on why i feel that the console version of crysis has better lighting. you keep trying to "correct" me. that means that you think i'm wrong, which means that you think you're right. its called opinion. listen to your own words. grow up.
OriginalZero 5 hours ago
@mitzibishi crysis 2 was a console game first and foremost. i understand that. do you? no you don't. all the in game assets were created with consoles in mind, hence why the textures are shit. hence why the water doesn't look as good. the fact that the game was designed on the console first is what dumbed down the game, not the engine. the engine is capable of so much more, there are videos proving that.
OriginalZero 4 hours ago
@OriginalZero hence why the whole engine is lesser.hence why every aspect of the console version of crysis 1 is lesser. even the lighting, your not putting 2 and 2 together are you. you know "logic" for the last fucking time,if every other aspect of crysis 1 is lesser so the game is able to run at a comfortable frame rate why the fuck do you imagine that the lighting is far superior to the PC version?why the fuck would they sacrifice everything else for a little lighting thick cunt
mitzibishi 4 hours ago
@OriginalZero Dynamic physics based lighting effects.like when a set off birds are flying and the cast a realtime shadow in the sky or when an object flys up in the air and you can see a realtime shadow cast from it. Crysis 2 just seems like a dumbed down engine allover, even lighting.in theory defered lighting is better but if the game struggles with everything else why spend all the resources on pushing lighting?its all theory that it could be better.its just bloom and blue tint
mitzibishi 5 hours ago
@mitzibishi and you bring up the "tint and bloom" shit again, acting like you won.
i'm sure CE3 is capable of doing everything that CE2 is, seeing as how they never removed anything from the engine, just modified CE2 like hell and added things. the only thing removed was the lighting engine, to put in the new one. and the engine DOES support per object lighting. remember C2 is a consolized game. its a console game first and foremost. but the engine is not.
OriginalZero 5 hours ago
@OriginalZero it does support it but they didnt implement is as high or couldnt have it as high becuase of engine restraints in Crysis 2 but by your opinion they really let rip with crysis 1 console. its a dumbed down version all around, lighting included, you just cant seem to grasp that a game is dumbed down so much to run it would have superior lighting ramped up just for the hell of it. i think you listen to Cryteks propaganda too much. nobody listens to crytek anymore, except u
mitzibishi 4 hours ago
@mitzibishi because you can't seem to grasp that its MY OPINION. how many times do i have to say that? i don't care what crytek says, crysis looks good but the CE2 is a shit engine as when they released it you COULDN"T EVEN RUN IT. even today systems can't run it smoothly without top hardware. the engine uses only 2 gigs memory MAX, and barely uses more than 1 thread on my quad core i5. its a poorly op
