  • i've lived in blairstown my whole life, and as a kid, my whole wrestling team stayed at Camp No-Be-Bos-Co for a week every year. we used to swim and canoe in that lake everyday too.

  • Very good job guys!

iam planning to visit this areas myself!

    lives in sweden!

  • jared padeleki was in nj and i didnt see him... sonofa bitch....

  • Does the gas pump in friday 1 still exist somewhere in Hope ??

  • Its not that scary. I go to school in Blairstown. Main street is just old stores and crowded by hipsters and the douchers from Blair Academy.

  • @MountcastleFilms I AGREE IT WOULD DO GOOD 4 BUSINESS

  • I live in Blairstown it's so cool to actually know that Friday the 13th was filmed here.

  • @Amazingstar152 about ,how many people live there, does it look spooky at night,or what?

  • @Amazingstar152 do you know how many friday the 13 movies they filmed there?

  • I live in blairstown Beccabumblebee I think I might know u

  • @Amazingstar152 really? who are you?

  • I live in blairstown

  • I live in Blairstown !!!

  • holy S@&T that town is more scary than in the actual friday the 13th movie

  • Someone asked how far Blairstown is from NYC. I live in Blairstown and it will take you about an hour and 15 minutes to get here from the city. There is no public transportation out here so I'd recommend you rent a car. For the scenes in Hope, NJ take exit 12 and make a left off of the exit toward Hope. To get to Main Street in Blairstown, take Exit 4C onto Rte 94. Main Street is off of 94, across from the Valero, Shell, and Pro Gas stations. Hope that helps!

  • Could you possibly let me know how far is Blairstown from NYC and if their is any kind of public transport to get there ,and how far is NOBEBOSCO from Blairstown thank you

  • You should be able to do a map quest check - I am from Indiana - and it's about 15 hours from me. My suggestion is to rent a car - I think that's the best way to handle the drive. I don't think you are too far away if you are coming from NYC - probably closer than I am. Only other option is to take a bus out as close as you can get to Blairstown, and then hire a taxi to take you there. From Blairstown off of hwy 94 it's about 7 miles. Hope this helps.

  • I better tell my kids to look out for Jason, because he's picking them up on Friday the 13th so me and daddy can watch a Scary Movie. Now that's a Nightmare On Elm Street. =]

  • The guy never got caught. They said he walked into the woods right after and cops with dogs and stuff never found him..lol

  • My 2 cousins went to that camp in the early 90's. They never went back after some lunatic played a prank dressed as Jason walked out of the lake towards them where they were having a campfire.

  • i live in blairstown and nothing happens at all. this film is the only thing that makes blairstown a good place to tour. main street is screwed up now and apparently, the only cool thing that almost everyone does is hang out in the A&P parking lot

  • @u2todit4me Bahahah yeah that used to be true, but not so much anymore. I love living in Blairstown, so so so much. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. There is so much natural beauty and good people! Open your eyes a little wider.

  • @elenalaurel i agree with most of it, except the people part. now, most of the kids in the high school chew, smoke weed/smoke cigarettes, or pop pills. a couple of kids even asked some veterans that came in for Voices of the Veterans how many people they killed. and apparently, a group of kids made a "club" called the kreative kids klub, spelled with the K's. great town.

  • nothing is scary in blaristown, exceot the fact that 4 different died in the lake

  • this is a great video! i really enjoyed it. awesome!

  • This Is Amazing

  • I don't live too far away from blairstown and shades of death rd, I actually fished ghost lake and caught a friggin sunny the first time there, it was CREEPY! And if you follow the road it'll take Ýou to johnsonburg which has a haunted graveyard

  • In 8th grade I remember taking a class trip to Princeton Blairstown. Is this the same camp? I don't remember the name Camp No-Bo-Bo-Sco so I guess it was a different camp.

  • @cyborgLIS

I believe this is Princeton is a local academy (very old) -- not the place. The camp you are looking for is North Bergen Boy Scout Camp - NOBEBOSCO (about 7 miles from Blairstown) You can do a google earth and find the camp.

  • Brenda was awesome! I was sad to hear that the actress who played her passed away.

  • Nothing is as scary as what happens in Blairstown to this day.... nothing!

  • OMG!! I live in blairstown and I think its so cool that friday the 13th was filmed here. I havnt actually seen the whole movie but I did see the part with the diner and I thought that was pretty cool:)

  • I live in Blairstown. I should know

  • You Retard! Its Camp "Nobebosco"

  • I work at Camp NoBeBoSco!

  • Cool I got in I made a video of it, Get me a job there =)

  • @nick1011993 What do you do at the camp???

  • @nick1011993 Guess you don't work there anymore.

  • @funkybunny9966 I worked as a conselor and in the kitchen and noI dont lol

  • thanks for the nice comments !!

  • Great vid man, I've gotta visit Blairstown, I cant believe how things havent changed much in nearly 30 years. :) *****

  • yep, I know.

  • the monopoly cabin is still up

  • Hey Celloguy!!

Yeah, it is very isolated!! And I hope you got to see the camp...but it's always a gamble if somebody doesn't mind if you walk around and take some pics of the locations. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I would love to bike out there !!

  • I just got back from a Memorial Day road trip to see the original Friday locations. Unfortunately, the diner was closed due to the holiday, but I got to see pretty much everything else that I wanted to. Wow, is this an isolated area or what? Seeing the locations is making the movie scary again, because it's pretty much in the middle of nowhere. Gorgeous country, though!

  • I totally agree with you about Betsy Palmer. I met her at a Fango con years ago, and she was like the grandma that I never had, lol. I hope to say hey to her at Fango in a couple of weeks.

    Great video!

  • Hey Chris -- Loved your YOUTUBE contributions!! You have quite the collection -- I have a lot of dvds, and self-made stuff -- not a whole lot of collectibles. I made "Nestle" a few years ago - which is basically a inspiration from Tom Savini's "Raoul" in Creepshow !! He has his own coffin and pnematic artm that raises him from his "bed."....I'll have to post that sometime!!

  • Nice video, I went here in 2007 for the first time & saw everything, the Old Mill, the diner, Moravian cemetary even got into the camp & took a whole bunch of pics. The main cabin is still there it was great. I went back in 2008 saw everything again but this time they wouldnt let me in the camp I was kinda pissed I drove 4 1/2 hours from Massachusetts. Im going back in May this year..

  • thanks!! Well, it's a hit or miss thing when you go to the camp -- it's too bad that they don't open it up to the public for a cost...I feel they think the liability and vandalism (souvenier hunters) would tear the place apart -- especially the Van Dusen!!

  • Yeah there sitting on a gold mine if they opened it to the fans...

  • Whats the Van Dusen??

  • The Van Dusen is the main cabin in the film - it gets a lot of exterior screen time. It's the "monopoly" cabin where Alice, Brenda and Bill were hanging out in. The shot where Alice is leaning against the cabin as she watched "Crazy Ralph" bicycle off is the name of the cabin (The Van Dusen)...It's like the Evil Dead cabin to the Friday fans.

  • Yeah now i remember, I cant wait to go back this May I hope I get in like i did the first time we'll see, thanx for responding..

  • no problem - good luck! If anything, the diner is still there and has pretty decent food!!

  • I went last year & the diner is there & your right the food is good, hope I get in. Type up on youtube Horror room part 1, then check out horror room part 2 also horror room part 3 & check out my horror collection, hope you watch & like what you see, thanx, CHRIS...

  • Hey whats up!! I went on the Blairstown trip & saw the sights & made videos of it all. I got into the camp & it was cool I have video of that to. Click on my ccg1171 & check out my page & Crystal lake videos & let me know what you think. I didnt video where Ralph talked to enos 7 Annie but went there. I couldnt beleive how close it is to the cemetary.. Again let me know how you liked it, Thanx, CHRIS =)

  • the luncheonette in hope new jersey...when it was open was known locally as Skips Greasy Slide Away...i ate their around the time the movie was made...and i lived nearby

  • Thanks for posting this - would love to go to Jersey and visit some of these locations ! Rod

  • oh cool, I didnt know it was filmed in New Jersy, My mother was born there. What a coincedence. LOL.. :D I live in Vallejo Ca, Home of the Zodiac Killer.. Woot First Post.

  • It's a very quaint town with a lot of history to it...I love the architecture and the stone buildings and winding / hilly roads. I don't get too much of that terrain in the area I live in. The people were nice. The guy at the Blairstown Winery is a hoot and even allowed me to shoot an interview of him -- his name was JASON !! His brother was the one who drowned in the lake...LOL ! (that's what he said!)
