think about this, the ancients died out 10,000 years ago, during that time the asgard where rlly not far behind them in tech, 10,000 years later and besides there genetic degridation i think they are just as advanced as the ancients, take for instance that drone weapons where used against ori ships in an episode of sg1, and they said they managed to fend them off, but only just, now look at the asgard energy weapons, like cutting through butter with a hot knife. if u get my drift.

hey if u really think about it ,the ancients r indirectly responsible for all the enemys of stargate, the ori:well the ori turned evil on their own but they had the chance to defeat them (ark of truth) but didnt,the wraith:well they allowed the bugs to feed off them for years and they evolved into wraith,the replicators: ha we all know the ancients built them and finaly the guaould:if the ancients never put a stargate on a guaould planet they would never have gained power

All true apart from the Goa'ulds reason....They put gates on all inhabited planets but a better point would be that they left all that technolgy lying around for the Goa'uld to find seeming as lots of Goauld tech is Ancient tech lol!!! Other than that you are bang on:)
