  • Now whats a nugget that size worth?

  • @shelbyfanss Hello, at the time I found the piece, roughly 2 years ago, the nugget was worth about 20-30 dollars. It's now probably worth about $50+ due to the increasing gold prices.

    Hope this helps,

  • Nice work!

  • Really good watch, makes me want to get out there myself.

  • What timings were you using? Thanks

  • @pvampire I believe since the clay was very hot I was using the Enhance timing. Most of the time if the ground conditions are pretty mild I'm using Special/Sensitive/Extra.

  • Cool video!

  • Great video Rob! Makes me long for the good old days out on Elly's claims! Big Nuggets! - Terry

  • australia and new zealand is where the gold is at

  • @Rocksolidvb Just about all countries have some gold. The US was just as rich, if not richer than the countries you mentioned. Keep in mind, the US has had 3-4 major gold rushes and hundreds of thousands looking for it in the last 200 years. Take care, Rob's Detector Sales 623-362-1459

  • Jesus! that metal detector sells for $5000 on ebay.

I better be finding gold everyday with that thing.

  • Cool man really enjoyed its exciting.....

  • Hey Guys, Thanks for all the comments. The nugget was probably valued at around $20 - 30 US dollars. Nothing huge, but they add up quickly when you're finding them. Keep in mind, there are a lot more smaller gold nuggets than larger, so having a good metal detector such as a Minelab PI will help you find not only the big ones deeper, but the smaller ones which are like the "beans and bacon" of metal detecting.

    Take care!

  • enjoyed watching you work new to this hunting just starting out looking how its done nice work

  • Wow nice job spotting it. How much do you think it would be worth?

  • WOW! Thanks for posting this.

  • wow that was very small hard find,at 8 inch. good job!
