  • Thank you for posting this! Does anyone have a copy of "The Letter" by Armatrading? It could be "Your Letter..."

    She is so great.

  • @Zebedoodah it's "your letter" from her "to the limit" album. great song and album, these were very hard to find few years ago but i have no idea if they're now available as mp3.

  • great song!

  • This should have been a massive hit ,its big ...very very big sound and wow! timeless great classic big one.Cool as!

  • i must say ,i prefer Joan with her afro ,relly works on her ..its great!

  • Just so you know - "Warm Love" in fact is on the album "Show Some Emotion" (1977).

There is no LP called "Love and Affection" - that was a song.

Nice tribute though - she just gets better and better.

  • just so you know Warm Love is on more than one album. Show Some Emotion was the 1st album it was on but there are plenty more albums of which it is on. And there are two albums called 'love and affection'. 'love and Affection Classics'which was made in 2003 and 'Love and Affection' made in 1996. i have almost every album, of hers. sorry mate but do your research before you comment

  • Actually, I have all of her albums from "Whatever's for Us" (1972) right up to "What's Inside" (2003).

I don't have too many the compilations (which the two "Love & Affection" albums obviously are) because they just contain songs I already have.

So please don't call me ignorant. I have been a fan of Joan's for well over 26 years.

Anyway, I already said it was a nice tribute.

  • dude u dont have all of her albums then. i wasnt calling u ignorant i was just saying you dont know everything your talking about.

  • Like I said, I don't have the compilations because I already have the songs from them on the original albums.

I never claimed to be the total expert on Joan. I certainly don't know her whole story.

Look we just got off on the wrong foot I think. I'm sorry if I seemed rude, but you came across a little that way too.

    But I apologize.

  • me too. im just a huge fan. sorry mate. but she is a brilliant artist. and by the way, im not evn 26 but my dad n i r huge fans and don't stop listenin 2 here music. im actuli 14 but i have all her almost all her albms

  • It's OK. Yes, I was 9 years old when I first started listening to her, so I know what you mean.

I've seen her live about 5 times, mostly here in Colorado but once when I lived in the UK.

So we actually do have quite a bit in common - more than you might think!

  • soz im 15 now keep finking im 14 lol. i was listenin to her when i was 6. with out her i would be scared to show emotions.

  • Don't worry. I forget how old I am sometimes too!

Yes, her music is very personal, yet universal. She's helped me through some very tough times.

  • @NewWaver80014 HELL YEAH! Colorado is awesome!

  • @strtvndl3 Isn't it, though? :)

  • @NewWaver80014 It is i love it!

  • Kewl, I'm only 4 and I bin listnin to her wif my mom since I was 2. My moms only 13.

  • Whoops! Accidentally referred to "Lovers Speak" as "What's Inside"

Just wanted to correct that! :-)

  • I adore Joan Armatrading, honest Spirit, great natural voice, real inspiration to me, ludwina
