  • Ati radeon hd 4890 1gb DDR5 shader 4.1

  • Are you all crazy? Its a parallax occlusion mapping shader itself! Just simple it!

  • umm where to get it?

  • This rendering is via direct3d 10.0 ot 10.1...

  • i think dx

  • thats dx or ogl?

  • ahm guys,he dosen't know that doesn't mean to insult him

  • ROFL :D

  • Comment removed

  • But does he know how to talk in complete sentences? If not I suggest keeping him as far away from you as fucking possible Mr. "My 3 (year) old cousin (knows) what (a) shader is"

  • that shader is sick im waiting for the pixel shader 6 them we will have virutal actor totally realistic

  • is that called geometry shader?

  • yeah it's a geometry shader

  • This was possible with Pixel Shader 3.0

  • True. None of this is new to 4.0. I want to see some refract shading ambient occlusion.

  • Yes, but will be a little different look.

  • This is called relief mapping. No geometry is changed as you can see and almost all of the work is done through the pixel shader.

  • vetex is idle

  • No, this is called "parallax oclusion mapping"

And was posible in pixel shader 3, but in shader model 4 look VERY nice in the corners or side areas

  • I have to wonder - the big thing with model 4 is geometry shaders right? Maybe this is a complex surface generated from a sphere and a heightmap.

  • What is this type of shader called?

  • Cause the effect also works if you look parallel to the surface it needs to be some kind of real displacement/distortion mapping instead of bump/normal or parallex mapping stuff
