Muslims claim that Jesus prayed using the Muslim prayer posture, along with all the prophets. Yet Jesus instructed his disciples to pray while standing up. (Mark 11:25), King David prayed while sitting in (2 Sam 7:18), and Paul instructed prayer in church with hands lifted up in the air. (1 Tim 2:8) My question is: If Jesus was a Muslim, why would he instruct his disciples to pray standing up? And when it says Jesus fell on his face and prayed, how do you know he was not fully prostrate?
@isworeintoroyalty Ritual is when you drink wine thinking it's someone's blood and kneeling before "Father" to bless or you are doomed, ritual is when you "confess" in a dark room to another man where he needs that confession more than you. Like I told one of your other Royal brothers that this is not singing but recitation of Holy Qur'an. You just have to choose words wisely and you will sound much smarter.

please..someone post a video or mp3 file with the prayer without the surah..and the words said slow and clear..anyone who converted and does not speak Arabic I think has a hard time like me..there are sounds in Arabic which are not in the English language..although in German which is ok by me..but please I am getting desperate here..I have a wonderful site where I learned the Al Fatiha..can say it perfect and am learning the Ayat al Kursi.. but i need the other stuff and slow ..anybody

Very good, as well as helpful to me. I'm trying to learn the proper way to pray, but having difficulty pronouncing the words properly. I will continue to view the video until I can memorize word for word. Allah bless.
This video is not very infomative for new muslims. It is dawn prayer specific and and has lots of extras that new muslims wont understand. Futhermore, right as the video gets to the actual prayer it goes to cut black screen with just words. This will help learn to pray if I cant see the preformance of the prayer. Im not critizing the prayer or the preformance, just suggesting that the title be changed to something like how to lead prayer for experienced muslims.

i feel that you need to edit later part of this clip in a good way.. because especially people who just turned to muslim would confuse it. audio clip is different with the video.

also i had one more question. when you are in your last rakat and after durad sharif do you have to do any other dua or you just finish your prayer after durad sharif? thanks guys sorry for lots of question. just want to clear these confusions so I can be as correct as possible , may allah forgive me for this if i am wrong in some parts. amen.
I have a question brothers before starting namaz (prayer) when you say allahu akbar and raise your both hands after that everytime we have to say this supplication Subhanak Allahuma wa bihamdek... like i mean there is no other thing we have to say like , neeat karta hoon 4 fard wasta allah ke. Subhanak Allahuma wa bihamdek ...." is translated in the video: It means :"Glory to you, O Allah, and yours is the praise.And blessed is Your Name,and exalted is Your Majesty".

The Quran has rules of recitation, which we should try to follow. The most important thing is to get the pronunciation correct because slight differences can change the meaning significantly. Of course some people have more melodious voices than others. Just say it from the heart, however it feels right.
yeah, allah sees all, knows all.. right. that's what the koran says a lot in the icelandic translation. But hey ! how about that pig-meat thing ? what's up with that ? If at frist you do not know arabic you can make salaah in your native tongue but it required of you to learn it in arabic and do it in arabic later on. You dont HAVE to learn the exact meaning of each word. Just learn the sounf=ds together. iTs actually not hard. Its literally a song and its sang how you hear it. But everyone sings it differently.

they have to be different in every rakaats.. but you can repeat the surahs in different prayers. for example, you can say the surah in suboh, and say it in duhor, as'r , magrib and isha. but its better to have different surahs in every prayer.

its not true... ina anzalnah koranan arabeyan laalakom takeloon... Quran is only in arabic... any translation is just a translation and not a holy text.... translation of holy text... praying can only be with the original text.... non muslims all over the world who converted in the early ages had to learn arabic or learn quran in arabic....

As muslims we are taught to respect other faiths and not to judge, if i am not mistaken the same as what you believe as a Christian. Have u read the Quran (Koran) and the Hadith? I noticed the girl in the video puts her forearms on the ground during prostration. Muhammed (pbuh) said, "None of you should rest arms on the ground the way a dog rests them."
"Do not spread your arms [the way a beast of prey does], rest on your palms and keep your upper arms apart, for when you do all that, every one of your limbs prostrates with you."
I also have never heard a good textual proof for the notion that the postures of womens prayer are different. Seems to be a cultural practice. Sheikh albaani is the greatest hadith scholar of this time and he says there is no proof for a difference between mens and womens prayer.
I would imagine that it is only to keep one's self entirely covered. I have seen videos of women praying in the same fashion as men as well as the way displayed in this video. I guess it depends on the dress of the culture involved. I do not claim to know, so please correct me if I am wrong.
I just want to make a suggestion for improvement of the English used by the author of the clip: it should say "this clip will TEACH you" not "learn" you. There are also many English errors in the clip- consulting with an English speaker would help it make more sense.

Imagine this.. the whole world throws all the bibles, tora's and qor'ans in the sea.. theres no books left of any of those religions. Could u get Bible back ? No u could not, cuz christians do not agree.. some follow the old and some follow the new. The same goes for the jews.. But suphaan allah.. u get 1 muslim from each country in the world, they start from the first to last surah and the qor'an comes back.
when i saw this video, i suddenly became so proud that i am born to be a muslim. im 14 and now im trying to pray salaah 5x a day as possibly as i could. the one who called for prayer is very good. its incredible!thnks!now i know how to perform salaah correctly.

No you don't have say "subhanak.." after every Allah Akbar. And you can say a dua after darood if you prefer but it not obligatory

also i had one more question. when you are in your last rakat and after durad sharif do you have to do any other dua or you just finish your prayer after durad sharif? thanks guys sorry for lots of question. just want to clear these confusions so I can be as correct as possible , may allah forgive me for this if i am wrong in some parts. amen.

I have a question brothers before starting namaz (prayer) when you say allahu akbar and raise your both hands after that everytime we have to say this supplication Subhanak Allahuma wa bihamdek... like i mean there is no other thing we have to say like , neeat karta hoon 4 fard wasta allah ke. I am just confuse guy sorry but please clear this concept for me before fatiah we only have to do one supplication Subhanak Allahuma wa bihamdek and nothing else.

This is called "opening supplication".It is said by prophet Muhammed (pbuh). We say it in prayers before reciting al-Faiha.

Subhanak Allahuma wa bihamdek ...." is translated in the video: It means :"Glory to you, O Allah, and yours is the praise.And blessed is Your Name,and exalted is Your Majesty".

The video is very well made. Nice job. The ONLY issue I see is the "Muhammadan rasulullah" included.
I may be wrong, but isn't it considering sin to include Muhammad in Salat, since Salat is suppose to be for god and only for god?

Saying "Muhammadan rasulullah" is apart of the prayer, it means Muhammad, Prophet of Allah. Its not praying to Muhammad (pbuh) in anyway.

İ dont get what you say, of course Salat is for ALLAH and only for ALLAH, but you wouldnt be muslim if you dont believe ALLAH is the only god and Muhammed SAV is his last messenger, thats why its normal to include rasul Muhammed SAV also in salat because we say it then 'Ashadun an la ilah illa ALLAH we ana Muhammed sav rasul ALLAH'

The Quran has rules of recitation, which we should try to follow. The most important thing is to get the pronunciation correct because slight differences can change the meaning significantly. Of course some people have more melodious voices than others. Just say it from the heart, however it feels right.

it's the "icelandic" translated version.. the icelandic word for "Dirty" is often used in mediphorical ways, but it doesn't explain it any further than that... just says "Dirty". ,... I'm very interested in islam and I want to make sure I'm getting it Right,, that's why I'm asking you guys about these things. and sorry man, the the koran is out of my reach at the moment, but I can point it out for you later if you remind me. maybe you can tell me what it says at that spot in your language.

If at frist you do not know arabic you can make salaah in your native tongue but it required of you to learn it in arabic and do it in arabic later on. You dont HAVE to learn the exact meaning of each word. Just learn the sounf=ds together. iTs actually not hard. Its literally a song and its sang how you hear it. But everyone sings it differently.

they have to be different in every rakaats.. but you can repeat the surahs in different prayers. for example, you can say the surah in suboh, and say it in duhor, as'r , magrib and isha. but its better to have different surahs in every prayer.

its not true... ina anzalnah koranan arabeyan laalakom takeloon... Quran is only in arabic... any translation is just a translation and not a holy text.... translation of holy text... praying can only be with the original text.... non muslims all over the world who converted in the early ages had to learn arabic or learn quran in arabic....

I also have never heard a good textual proof for the notion that the postures of womens prayer are different. Seems to be a cultural practice. Sheikh albaani is the greatest hadith scholar of this time and he says there is no proof for a difference between mens and womens prayer.

I would imagine that it is only to keep one's self entirely covered. I have seen videos of women praying in the same fashion as men as well as the way displayed in this video. I guess it depends on the dress of the culture involved. I do not claim to know, so please correct me if I am wrong.

I just want to make a suggestion for improvement of the English used by the author of the clip: it should say "this clip will TEACH you" not "learn" you. There are also many English errors in the clip- consulting with an English speaker would help it make more sense.

Imagine this.. the whole world throws all the bibles, tora's and qor'ans in the sea.. theres no books left of any of those religions. Could u get Bible back ? No u could not, cuz christians do not agree.. some follow the old and some follow the new. The same goes for the jews.. But suphaan allah.. u get 1 muslim from each country in the world, they start from the first to last surah and the qor'an comes back.
