  • Try oranges, mine goes absolutely insane when he sees an orange ;D

  • iguanas don't just need fruits and veggies, my exotic vet said they need protein too, to feed it hard boiled eggs, cooked chicken and a certain kind of canned dog food which I wouldn't feed it dog food...but only about 30% for young iguanas and 10% for older

  • @proedition15 Don't worry, you can probably just use regular mulch or reptile bedding or even dirt. They are expert climbers so you don't have to worry about your scaly friend falling. Hope that helped!

Poor Apollo... now i have to break him and his 1.5 ft tail is a bit of an issue. but I'm working with a squirt bottle to break his aggression so he will be more fun :)

  • @LOC60100 about 35-40$

  • My iguana never goes after her food with such gusto.. I mean she does eat, but really lazily and she's extremely picky. I feel like there's something wrong but at the same time she's a healthy weight, active, going to the bathroom regularly, etc. She's about 5 months old, is that just how young iguanas are?

  • luv iguanas tis is funny

  • Once the plate is put down, all I hear is "Mine! Mine! Mine! Mine! Mine!"

    Adorable iguana. Very beautiful!

  • @dragonisiah She doesnt ever bite me. Shes really nice.

  • I my iguana :(

Im new at this, what should my iguana eat? (baby iguana)

  • @trojano80

Collard greens are an excellent staple green for baby and adult igs. You can add melons, berries, apples, pear, oranges, bananas, etc. for added flavor. All iguanas have different tastes when it comes to food, so feel free to mix it up! Stay away from lettuce (very poor nutritional value when it comes to calcium and phosphorus), and any form of meat including insects. Ig's are strictly herbivorous and will grow strong and healthy on a diet of greens and fruits alone.

    ~Parker

  • @spidamidget Thanks!

  • @trojano80 they have juvenile iguana food, dry and wet. Or cut up collard greens or mustard greens really small and fine.

  • i want your iguana

  • she was like in the begging what the hella re u doing with my food bowl

  • nom nom

  • i want one too but i dont know if i can get one :(

  • omg i recently got a new green iguana any tips on taming him?

  • @gibby379 ALWAYS, if possible, hand feed him, and carry him around on your shoulder or shirt, a well-handled iguana grows up into a well-behaved iguana. Oh, and let him roam around the house too, maybe even sleep in the same bed as you, iguanas like freedom, it makes them very happy.

  • female right

  • where did u get him?????

  • @JellyMyRoll You can get them at pet stores, but I'd try your local flea market first, the pet store tried to charge me like $50 for a baby green iguana, and I got an equally healthy baby iguana for $10 (with a free leash) at grungy, poorly-light shack in a local flea market. Actually, I'd say the flea market iguanas looked much happier than the pet store ones. So look around. Maybe try Craigslist, sometimes you can get 'em free.

  • @JellyMyRoll yes its a female. the pet store i got her from found her in the woods here in wisconsin. Someone must have lost her or something.

  • @dmoney10101151 WOO WISCONSIN!!! i live in wisconsin :D

  • My Leapord Gecko died this summer so i have all this stuff. And just recently my friend has to move so he is giving me his green Iguana! Im soo excited but any tips?

  • @VenomEnergy Hold it alot. Hand feed it. Give it freedom.

  • @VenomEnergy give it a large cage even when it is young to

  • @VenomEnergy Just research. Lots and lots of research. Be SURE you know how to care for it!!!

  • @VenomEnergy u should def keep it on a good diet sweet fruits are good but u dont want him to nock off the greens try mixing the food together get creative the iguana will love it

  • @VenomEnergy and a pool

  • Hey...

    he loves the taste

  • mmmm, iguana soup

  • SO COOL ON HOW FAST HE EATS INTO THE BOWL! Does he wander the house a lot?

  • All day every day@oscarwaggles

  • He's like "OH SHIT ORGASMFRUIT!!!!"

  • Is that a heat rock!?

  • @Ninja1881 yes. It doesn't have a cord. I know heat rocks are bad. I don't have it anymore now that I got it a new cage. She always slept with that as her pullow, so I left it in there.

  • @dmoney10101151 Thats one hard pillow :X

  • What kind of dog is this?

  • i found one while hunting, i captured it, that was yesterday, but i dont know how to feed it, it doesnt eat anything...can you help me??..like..how do i feed it??

  • danq ur iquana is huqe. nd he luvsz manqoesz.

llszx. dude how old is he now,???

  • @Flameboi890 Seven or eight

  • Cool Iguana! I Have a Leopard Gecko, and i Can't believe how much it Costs to Feed this Guy!

  • @StevieAndLife Oh yes, mine eats two bunches of collard greens a week.

  • Also if they close their eyes are they happy or mad? Thanks

  • @Obmx4lifeO sometimes they can be relaxing other times they could be annoyed and just are shutting the annoyance out.

  • @Obmx4lifeO Usually calm

  • Funny! mine doesn't like 'em. I just got him from an abusive home, he was really skinny and scared. It's been three weeks and I still haven't held him. Any tips on how to go about "taming" him? Thanks much!

  • @Obmx4lifeO well feed him good, Get him healthy. But if hes been abused, its most likely not gonna be tame. Theres always a chance...But they hold grudges, and remember abuse. hold him daily, Give it love and attention.

  • hmm...i wonder if they like tacos too...

  • can you look at my video? is my iguana a boy or girl? and is it a green iguana? how much will my cage sell for? message me on my own video thanks

  • I make a nice fresh Iguana salad EVERY day for my iggy...and I have to fight her away from the cat food

  • oh wow yeh we can tell lol ... my iguana loves bananas and the reaction is just the same ... sometimes I open the door and hell leap into the bananas its crazy

  • arent heat rocks bad for iguanas?

  • @corycmelvin Yup...which is y in the summer we go outside and sit on real rocks and get misted!!!

  • i go ape-shit for magoes too.....

  • I WANT YOUR IGUANA. :)

  • @nachoman1314 haha. Go out and buy one!!

  • Mine LOVES mangos and strawberries, too. I give him a plate full for his birthday every year. They're treats the rest of the year.

  • 2:03 "oh god i cant eat anymore"

    2:17 "MORE"

  • well damn lol

  • nice iguana, is he tame? can you like hold him and pet him?

  • @insatll7 Very nice, Check my other videos and you'll see.

  • @insatll7 She sleeps in my bed with me at night... Very very calm. I hold her every day. you can see in my other videos, her crawling on my head and stuff.

  • Get that heat rock out of there! Iguanas do not have heat receptors on the belly & can get burned. Only use ceramic heat emitters from above!

  • @cabbindragon so true

  • @cabbindragon ITS NOT PLUGGED IN. she uses it as a pillow since she was small, i didnt want to take it away from her... But recently have as you can see in my LATEST VIDEOS. Her in her habitat...

  • do you think i could just use a dog crate for my iguanas cage? and add othe stuff too it,, but im planning to keep it outside

  • wow this makes me miss my iguana. he was 4 years old and he just died from an instestinal block. but he would like dwarf your iguana. lol

  • ours is rescued and it was abused so its aggressive ):

  • about how much was the iguana when you got it at the pet store, i hd a bearded dragon and it was 90$ and i was thinkin of getting a new one

  • nomnomnom

  • Ok everyone... everyone keeps commenting on my cage being "unfit" its only where it plays. I'll post a video of its cage soon. And you'll all see its cage.

  • How do you manage to keep the heat and humidity up in a cage like that? :o

  • what kind of food do you give for a baby iguana??

  • @yoshua231991 They have juvenile iguana pet food. Or you can Cut up collard greens, Turnip greens, Kale, etc... But cut it up nice and small for them. mist it with a little water and that should be alright.

  • i have my own iguana cage self made it cost 1000 but i havent got many accessories ,i have a upstairs and downstairs 1 for bulbs and second for heating mats should i put the red bulb on the bottom and leave it turned on and get more plants?

  • @killian694 Yes i think that would be good. Its kinda your own little world too. Decorate it like you want. Have fun doing it. As long as its good for the ig then anything is ok! Good luck

  • in venice cali this guy sells them for $26 that how much mine was and they are realy healthy

  • lol he is so cute!

  • its ok mr. iguana i eat mangos like that to. =)

  • That looks like a birdcage. Fuck me, Iguanas are meant to climb and jump and stuff, this is fucking cruel. It also looks like you have starved it before this video.

  • @eltonfan30 Read the other comments.... This is only where my iguana eats.... I have a fifteen hundred dollar cage my iguana actually lives in and plays.

  • @eltonfan30 You are pretty dumb, aren't you?

  • beutiful ig i have a beardie i like to say there a smaller version of igs look up my beardie vids tangeloperfection

  • cool, I love Ig's

  • kool makes me wanna go eat some mangos :)

  • wait can you keep iguanas is cages like that cuz i have a rather large dog cage i used to use for my full bred collie, but she hated it so i stopped putting her in it. I really want an iguana so i was wondering if i put down liner and what nots could i use that dog cage?

  • I wouldnt recommend it. Wire cages are not the best for them. This is just my iguanas eating and climbing area. She has whole different cage where she sleeps and nests.

  • when it is small u can but onces it is are 2-3 feet u gotta let it go any where in the house or its muscles will were out and it will not be able to walk and then it will bite u if u try to touch it

  • @shottygunzplaya you should keep iguanas in real glass vivariums, that way you can keep the warmth and humidity up at the proper level much easier than a cage, wrong temperature and humidity will cause the lizard to eventually get sick, thats also why you should avoid letting reptiles be outside their proper tanks as much as possible (assuming that you dont happen to live in the part of the world where the reptile is native too :P )

  • @NaurDulin Check out my two new videos of her Habitat.
