I hav hot pursuit 2 and they had well q choice of free roam but it was on a specific track not like city and they had option of police, hot pursuit 2 didn't have cockpit view but I think they will make it have (if there's hot pursuit 3) because of shift and the way people like it alot if, the original hot pursuit had cockpit view

@L02T Gran Turismo is a simulator, its better compared to the Forza series. Need for Speed only makes arcade style racers. which is why they're a lot more fun and outsell by a long stretch.

My concern about this game is that, in all the gameplay i've seen, the cars seem to four-wheel drift and screech around EVERY corner. If the car is being driven properly, there needn't be any tiresqueal. You don't often see cars drifting at professional racetracks. Does anyone know if this is just a driver fault, or just a design fault? cheers.

the feeling looks better are you serious? Have you played gran turismo? The response/feedback is probably the best out there.Forza is also a decent simulation game. I wouldn't say nfs shift is a simulation tho and that the feeling is better. In shift the cars lose traction all the time and they're sideways all the time...theres so much unrealistic understeer. The series has stepped up though and heading in the right direction. You can only street race so much.

I now bought the game and I'd still say that the feeling is ok BUT it's VERY annoying that the cars start to bounce as soon as you hit a bump. There will hopefully be a patch for that.

Yes, I own gran turismo an I don't like the feeling in that game at all. I do like simulations and I always plays all games with without any help, like tc etc.

The traction and steering in GT are those things I don't like.

It's ok but not on gran turismo level. Ive been buying gt since gt 2 . gt 5 is a simulation game the last ones were kind of limited with the ps1 and ps2. The feedback on gt is spot on. any adjustments you make to the car respond accordingly.I also play simulation style. with shift it just felt like nothing was working except speed bumps with understeer. Still like I said, a step in the right direction for nfs definitly. Do you own a wheel?.

I came to think of two more things I don't like about GT.

* No damage to the cars.

* When you drive through corners the engine seems to loose power.

Perhaps they will change alot until the release. This is based on the previous games and 5 prologue.

o Nice. I dont even care about damage thats why I never mention it. I dont go out looking for wrecks and its rare that I go off course and slam a wall at high speeds ya know. and thats normal theres a cornering limit for all cars... oversteer will also rob the motor of some power/speed. rear wheel drive and front wheel drive can affect it too. it's not a pick up and play game, just crank the wheel left and right with no braking. maybe previously but not anymore.

There's defenetly a few flaws on NFS-S.

Don't even mention the drift mode. It's like driving on ice.

I think what youre probably referring to is the sound the transmission....it makes a whining sound and gets more intense as speed increases....this occurs in reality as well, its in the game intentionally
