I went to my doctor..he prescribed to me..Augmentin Antibiotics ! 2 pills every day for 8 days!!!! My tonsils are clean now :) The one year problem is dead and gone ;)

You have to stop eat/drink dairy products. That's the solution. I had it, (not so bad but ok) and I quit with yoghurt, cheese, stuff like that, and it's OVER. really try it. In about 3 days I think my tonsils were better.

@tepeltje it isn't the solution. in reality there's no diet related solution. in addition to being prone to tonsilloliths there are a variety of other non-diet related factors that can contribute to them developing or not just naturally draining. more than likely in your case it was just a coincidence. the stones do consist mainly of calcium, but that isn't from the direct consumption of dairy. (keep enjoying your dairy everyone!)

@420League Sans laser, I done done it. I just knocked off a couple of small ones. My tonsils bled a bit and then next day I felt like I was getting strep. Last time I did this, I gargled really well with a water/hydrogen peroxide solution. There wasn't any pain afterward. I think I may have staved off an infection. My lymph nodes are still swollen so I'm going to the doc, where I'll get the low down on the safety of removing stones.This is NOT medical advice, it's anecdotal. Go see your Doc, ok!

I had tonsils stones for ten years. I tried every everything and nothing worked. But finally they are gone. I stopped using Colgate and switched to AquaFresh iso-active Whitening toothpast (it comes in a metal metal container) and within days the bad breath and the dreaded feeling of something stuck in my throat was gone.

@pkingisfunz When I was kid a long long time ago, getting the tonsils out was considered routine. I think as an adult the surgery is considered to be more involved / serious but maybe you should look into it? You definitely want to keep your mouth and dentistry in good shape. I let my dentistry slip some, had moved and did not have a good dentist. This past month I am getting fixed up and current, have a good capable dentist again. I am sooOOooo glad.

anyway i cured this by eating allot of natural yoghurt. this has convinced me that these tonsil stones are definitely a bacterial infection of some kind. rather than just bits of food.

note that i cured only the bloating and wind problems. i still get the tonsil stones

but swallowing them is no longer causing a bacterial overgrowth of the gut.

if anyone else has suffered this problem, try natural unflavoured yoghurt(NO ADDED SUGAR) and tell me how it goes.

1st time i saw one come out of my mouth i thought it was a tooth too. after i found out what it was i learned to take them out without anyone else's help.

be sure that ur hands are COMPLETELY CLEAN and sue ur little finger (trim ur nails) and gently apply pressure next to the stone ot u could gently pull at the skin with ur finger. this should cause it to pop out. if nothing else force urself to gag or use a toothpick. u wont even bleed n if u do ur doing it wrong
