@Kimw1967 The new madrid fault runs from Louisianna and Mississippi up to i believe Minnesota it is either the largest or second largest fault line in the United states with like fifty secondary fault lines branching of. If it ever saw a 7 and up earthquake even at that distance it would feel like a 2.0 in Florida. The problem is if it goes so does the huge volcano lying underneath yellowstone. If it goes the whole United States will be covered in ash and will blanket the sun.
@Kimw1967 Not to worry you, but just keep a eye out on the USGS website for activity in the atlantic ridge. If that lets a 7.0 out we can see a twenty foot wave coming towards Florida or even bigger. So if you notice alot of activity lets say in August I would get out and get to the closest hill I could. Trust me when I say this bad times are on it's way, just to put some evidence to this on History channel they had a show about a megaquake in the Madrid fault and they never list it.
@Chevymonster203 Thank you for that info. Have a wonderful day and I will keep every thing you said in mind. I live about 20 miles inland from the beach so I am not sure how far the wave would go but there are several rivers in between me and the beach.
Oooooh. Green lines. I'm worried.
