this is my favorite matt helm/dean martin movie and sharon is my favorite girl she stood out from the rest, did not know she died until later a big shock but life sucks that way bad things happen to all the wrong people.

Sharon's career was much like Sharon Stone's career before she did Basic Instinct. Even though Valley Of The Dolls was a hit it didn't rocket Sharon to a "star" . She was still considered a starlet or minor star by the time she died. Though everyone in Hollywood knew who she was and she hung out with all the A list actors and directors .

God, she was very very very beautiful and had extraordinarily unique facial features. Was she actually a proper actress in her day, and well known, or was she more a B Grader and wasn't really well known until after her death? Anyway replies would be greatly appreciated!

Sharon was not a household name at the time of her death, and would have been considered only a "starlet". I think she could have become a huge star had she continued in the industry, although I don't really think she had the passion for it. Sharon's concerns were primarily on her pregnancy and starting a family and she was willing to give up her career entirely to do that.

Yes.  Sharon Tate did actually take acting lessons. She also had voice training as well as fitness training to improve her physique. Sharon Tate was the final female star groomed by the FILMWAYS STUDIO.
