Since I have joined the Army a few days ago I have not gotten much sleep. Just a lot on my mind since them. I signed a 6 year and 16 week contract and my MOS is 11 X-ray (Infantry recruit)
@spot603 Thanks for sharing. It sounds like you're in a huge transition and I bet you'll feel more relaxed in the coming days as you adjust to this very different environment.
I stay awake to six o'clock in the morning each day. There's also been times whereas I've stayed up for three days straight without any type of sleep. I doubt that it's due to Insomnia. I think it has something to do with a lot being on my mind.
@SirDrako12xx Yes, having a lot on your mind can make it difficult. 3 days without sleep is pretty extreme so if that occurs again it may be useful to see a doctor since sleep is important.
I haven't slept for months (since may of last year) and i am not even tired nothing helps. Why? Anyways I am finally spending the money and going to a doctor :(...
Out of this whole week ive slept 6-9hrs maybe...been like that my whole life. until i started smoking pot with my friends. now i sleep all the time lol
@iplayhalowhenimbored To clarify, you only got 6-9hrs this week in spite of smoking pot? Or have you not been smoking and have trouble sleeping without it?
6 people are still awake....including me (i dident "dislike" the video tho), What really sucks is when you have to work from 11am-5pm, in a job where you dont get the chance to sit down within those hours :(
try "really raw honey" u can buy it online on their website or whole foods and it cured ny insomnia in 2 days to my surprise! theni went on their website and they said that its good for insomnia and lots of other things like burns, cancer etc. it only cost $11 a jar and it tastes good. wat do u have to lose?God bless everyone
@patriciacarrasco Thanks for the suggestion. I'd like to encourage others to share solutions they have found in the comments for this video so it can become an ever greater resource for those overcoming insomnia.
@Leemon5585 Since making this video I have been sleeping much better, thanks. I was in a period of recovering from a breakup and so that was causing a part of it...figuring out who I was, having a conflicted mind Fortunately I'm self-employed and the work I do from home is very flexible...so I've been fortunate to not have to deal with that additional pressure of setting an alarm clock :)
Some how knowing I'am not the only one going through this, makes me feel alittle better.Ifeel really terrible I haven't slept in days,is getting to the point were I can no longer function,Iam about to loose my job because of it,I feel like a zombie.Peels no longer help me its like my mind rejects all medecine an refuses to shut down,no matter how tired I am.If theres somebody out there with some real solutions please help.Thank you.
havent slept in a month. its to the point of Pseudohallucination, everythings slow and seems far away... thinking about applying for medical marijuana -_-
@blakeandcrap Medical marijuana might help. I don't know for sure since it affects everyone differently...but it may be worth a shot as I believe insomnia is one of the symptoms for which you can get a prescription.
I don't think I have insomnia but I think I have something because I am sleepy and I can't seem to sleep. I haven't been able to go to bed on time for quite some time now. I have a ton of homework...I don't do it. I am getting behind in school. I don't care. It's horrible I wish I could get my life back on track and start being a little more ambitious. I just sit zombified and sleep deprived in class HELP!
1) Put your feet in hot water for 20 minutes before you go to bed. 2). Reciting or changing number: 3800.2600 Read like this: three eight zero zero (stop a second) two six zero zero. One number for one second. Period here means to stop one second This number combination is derived from chinese medicine theory and i-Ching.
3)When you lay in the bed Put your palms in your navel and natural breath for 100 times.
Im 16 I have had insomnia since I was 13.. It can suck sometimes during the day.. but also I have found I have a lot more time to work than anyone else.. I'm ahead in several classes..
Since first posting this I've been finding it helpful to make sure I don't drink too many liquids during the few hours before bed, and also I enjoy reading (lately I've been into Chuck Klosterman) while in bed which seems to slow down my thinking process.
I hear you about insomnia and altered reality! Been there done that and am still working on it. Just wanted you to know that after dealing with insomnia for a very long time (due to taking medications) that I've learned that I'm Iodine deficient and lack of Iodine (deficiency is common now) is related to insomnia and many other health issues. I hope you'll take an hour or two to research it's importance and decide for yourself. It may help you! :-)
@2healthnuts Thanks for your feedback. It's been awhile since I did this vid and since then am sleeping much better. I was going through some big life transitions that I think were causing inner conflict at the time.
I havent slept in 2 days and im still really energetic and im not tired....... SOmethings wrong with me.. And no i havent been drinking soda or any Caffinee drink.. Jsut water.. Someting is wrong with me...
@mifolious Thanks for the update. I'm glad to hear you're doing better. Hopefully you'll be able to feel more deeply relaxed and eventually be able to rest easy without the pills. Insomnia is a drag, but sometimes I've had big realizations when I couldn't sleep...breakthroughs. And then I could sleep again.
@UnificationDotCom Well, Its good that something gets you to sleep, And yes i hope i will be able to rest without the pills.. But how have you been? Has your sleeping problem been getting better? Btw, I love your kitty ^-^
@mifolious I've been doing much better. At the time of this vid I was still recovering from a relationship, so I had a lot to sort through. Sometimes I still have trouble falling asleep, or I'll wake before fully rested. But I've learned to not "fight against it"...I'll just lay there and quiet my thoughts, be patient, and I almost always fall asleep. It's like a test to patience. Yes, my cat is awesome...thanks.
im not that sleep deprived but i hate waking up in the night and staying awake for upto 20mins then sleeping again for about a few hours then waking up again for another 20mins (this happens about 3 to 5 times a night is their something wrong with me, it barely started this week will it go away on its own?)
you know what helps insomnia? medicinal marijuana. if you live in a state with decriminalized marijuana laws and allows medical marijuana, ask your doctor and you may be one of the "lucky" ones
@psycho705 This is so true, I suffer from severe insomnia. I dont smoke right now but when I did, I would sleep like a baby. I am seriously thinking about getting some medical grade marijuana.
@psycho705 im really hoping 4 that but i dont know how to explain 2 my parents plus im 16 n once i broke my leg n had to take pills n i got a horrible rash all over my body
I have something that works for me, my phone has sudoku on it, so i'll play sudoku at night when i lie in bed. I find that this 1) stimulates my mind to become better at puzzle solving and 2) puts me to sleep fairly quickly. so you should try this method, all you need is a book of sudoku puzzles and a pencil.
@earvase I thought i was the only one. i've been up for 2 days straught cause i cant sleep through the night.im a college student in sll my roommates are sleeping ever so peacefully. im irrated and annonyed.

drinking water or any liquids initiates the adrenal glands, so yeah I've also found it helpful to stop drinking hours before sleeping.
