when doing the A7, my highest bass note (4th string) almost always sounds dead. It seems a large stretch for me still, whilst keeping pressure on your index finger and still reach out with your pinky the other way. Is it just a matter of practice, or is there a way to make it feel like it isn't that much of a stretch? (loosen up your grip on the neck maybe? I still squeeze it pretty hardly, don't know if that's a good idea or not...)
One quick question, you play the higher strings first as classical guitarrist would do (something I can do :)) but then you change to a Lightning Hopkings style. I'm trying mysefl but can't seem to be hitting the right strings with my index finger. Which ones do you play exactly?
I play the top E and B strings with just an up-strum with the index finger. I was watching an old John Lee Hooker video and picked up that idea. You think it might be crude but it's the way more than the classical definition.
Love your lessons John!

Move the hand into position to make is easier for the pinky. Takes practice but the quick hand move makes it happen.
