Yes they were an Asian drum and bell corps. There was another Asian drum and bugle corps located in L.A. with the same name. Oakland and Los Angeles. (neither of them were related though but they heard of each other)

If your cousin was part of the Oakland group, I probably knew him/her cause my mother was one of the parental directors.

@freezetag168 Wonder if anyone has tried to use Drum & Bugle to prevent gangs in Oakland (probably someone has tried it somewhere).

Korea has some really good pieces that could be done well by a D&B Corp.

@DUserNameUnavailable In recent memory, they have not utilized a D&B Corps to deter gang activity within the Oakland Asian Community. They did start a lion dance and modern dance troupe sponsored by the police department some years back to fill that void. I think they're still in operation.

@freezetag168 They were once great. I think the only all Asian drum & bugle corp around in the California, if not USA.

My cousin used to tour with them--part of Asian-American history. Hear some nice stories of the group. Would be cool to get them back together for a reunion.
