I think Heather Tom had the better real out of the two of them. That being said the reels that year for this category were quite weak. Cady had one of the better reels. Sharon and Ilene's were quite weak.

Wonderfully eloquent and graceful speech. It's interesting that when Cady took that bold leap to ATWT from AMC, in appearence she blossomed into this magnificent and refined beauty. I guess the character demanded it. We have to remember that Dixie was more of an awkward, simple girl.

I really would've liked to have seen Kathy Brier win as well--she was so heart-wrenching when her love Al died in 2003....but Cady was so Emmy worthy as Rosanna Cabot, especially during this time period

Kathy Brier deserved an Emmy. Cady had already won in 1989!!! I don't understand why the SAME people have to win Emmys year after year??????

One, actually I think she won in 1990(if I'm not mistaken). Two, Cady does not win year after year, in fact this happened to be her second emmy 14 years AFTER her first one. And three why shouldn't she win the emmy? Yeah there were many talented actresses in the category, including Kathy Brier who imo should've won in 2008 for the Tommy storyline. And I agree some actors DO win year after year, which I think is ridiculous! But to me Cady so deserved the emmy! She had an incredible year!
