In short they do NOT need to play on playback because I HAD ATTENDED their concerts more than 5 times, which also include their rehearsal playing this piece of song right in front of my eyes and ears. @galatrax Its an erhu.Its not hard to play,though it requires constant practice.I play one :)

@2365254, Erhu is easy to make out the sound but it is takes many years to master good sound. These girls took almost whole life to practice from prestige musical school since childhood.

@galatrax You're talking about the Erhu. With any instrument it takes years of hard practice to master an instument. The Erhu only has 2 strings, that might make it easier to play, but then again it just depends on the person's willingness to learn and perfect. :]
