  • that last fill would go great with a splash during that first 8th note rest. trust me i tried. try it for yourself.

  • Guy: In this video lesson, we're going to be going through some broken 16th note fills.

Me: WHAT THE FUCK DOES BROKEN MEAN!?!!?

Guy: Now you might be asking "What does broken mean?"

    Me: o.O

Guy: All it means is im not playing constant 16th notes.

Ahh, these videos just get me.

    =]

  • quit changin your damn camera angles!!!

  • play that funky muzic white boy

  • when he drums he looks a bit like the guy out of napolian dynamite! :) good lessons though, love them

  • @alextwdrums thats exacly what u was thinking lol

  • the last fill is really cool but would sound better with doubles on some of the notes as well as accents, plus in the eight rest at the beginning of the fill it wud sound better with 2 16th notes on the snare

  • What I don't get is how some of the freedrumlesson vids are awesome quality, and some suck ass.

  • sound great

  • I don't know what number you're on but, me one more than that.

  • me 1337

  • me 5192!

  • I really like all these lesons but the only thing, which i think ist bad, is for example at this tom fills, they show the view from above just one time. But I think this view is probably the best to see how he hits the toms...

  • awesome!!!

  • me 4!

  • me 5

  • me over 9000!

  • what drums heads and cymbals r u using? please tell me!

  • I guess, that he's using Evans G2 Coated on the Toms and a G1 Coated on the Snare.

I'm not sure with the Bassdrum head.

    The Cymbals are Sabian HHX...

  • the cymbals are HHX by sabian .. and the heads are evans :)

  • but what cymbal, i know its hhx

  • You americans talk too much. :S

  • @ Phergan,...i second that man!

  • those toms sound so bloody nice!!

  • That 10" tom is tuned epically low! It sounds sweet.

  • cool!!

  • i like to play them fast.. sound rad ^^

  • ehh i dont know i like to play constant 16th notes as ghosts notes and then just play what would be the fill as accents...makes it sound more full bodied i think

  • i agree. thats a much better option...and it feels better that way

  • i like the 2nd beat... great job..!!

  • great toms

  • these are realy good warm up beats for beginers!

  • This guy's quite a good teacher. I should've really looked this up when I started drumming since I had no teacher or books, so I have none of the drumming theory, I've only learned by listening to songs. But hey, this is pretty handy in learning the more technical side of drumming.

  • same

  • the fills are cool. ive never thought i can do that that is wicked concept.

  • those toms sound fucking great!

  • ya i know theyre so tuned

  • does anyone know what drum kit hes playing

  • he's playing maple; yamaha maple custom absolute

  • sounds like hes got a cold!

  • oooo wat a nice crash cymbal

  • Watched all your Vidz!!!.....thanks for the Insight.

  • Great vid and like the sound of the kit!

  • its really the mics...they make it sound alot clear but then again may sound pretty similar

  • i wouldn't doubt it because yamaha makes incredible maple kits especially for recording.

  • i like the sound of birch for the lower toms and bass drum..but 8-12 inch toms for maple are sick..

  • lol. i agree.

  • cool video. i wish this sorta thing (internet video posting) when i was a bigginer this would have really helped alot as im sure its helping others out there. just wanted to say though MAN that kit sounds sweet, that bass drum is brilliant n those toms have low end but clarity i would love to hear some searious chops played on that kit.

  • good vid but a lil too easy

  • not everybody is as good as you jackass

  • haha take it easy.

  • People who haven't played drums before have to start somewhere :)
