  • He's referring to ag farmers. Those who produce soybeans, cotton, bananas, wheat an corn etc. Just take a trip to Brazile and you will realize how the farmjg industry is making a killing. The Brazilan economy is booming bc of Chinese infacious appetite for ag products.

  • am not so sure, if farmers will be wealthy. I am sure it will still be a very difficult for farmers as that area of work is not easy. Try growing your own veg or fruit over the summer. People, or rich people that own farms or farming companies may do well.

  • everybody get a home garden, in case that's still legal in your area.

  • @Aanthanur: Arent they by any chance counts and countesses .... escaping the multi-kulti no culture world, going back to the true italian roots????? Playing farmers, while living of of something else?

    Today e

  • In Italy you can see alot farmers drive Lamborghinis.

Lamborgini started not with super sport cars, but with tractors. and still Lamborghini Trattori manufactures tractors^^

  • Food may be worth it's weight in Gold before too long. Don't forget the UN's Codex Alimentarius which will kick in with their Orwellian food laws coming this December. Which for one, will requiring all foods to be irradiated before reaching the market. Even the organic farmers must comply. Check this out before planting for sale.

  • asians keep money under mattresses? please someone explain this to me. the "Savings Glut" was a money game to keep dollars out of the FX markets by buying Treasury debt instead to keep asian currencies low. so wat is this nonsense about rice farmers putting pennies into savings accounts or under the bed morhing into US debt? when americans save money does it morph into Chinese bonds? someone explain this to me!!!!

  • Asians typically save a larger portion of their wealth than other cultures, even factory workers in china save about 30% of their meager salaries & also the Chinese as far as a govt and country have huge budget surpluses, unlike the US, which is a debtor nation

  • Most of the farmers where I live in Tennessee, couldn't even climb into a Lamborghini, let alone drive one.

  • @Gruntol5 That's cause they are used to climbing up on equipment and working all day and most of the night in some cases.

  • will the farmer ever drive lamborgini??

Not the middleman like jim rogers?

    Don't bluff man....

  • haha that was funny about your Mandarin Bernie.

  • Food production is going into a high-tech boom. In New York City you can grow tomatoes in a warehouse on rollers with solar lamps. You are only limited by energy.

A nuke plant and a vegetable factory could feed a city. At least for developed countries I can't see any real massive price increases in food, as long as there is cheap energy micro-food factories will spring up almost immediately.

  • Soil? Nutrients?

  • Im planning on paying off my mortgage with my small tomato patch

  • Jim Rogers is awesome... I am moving to China soon.

  • This must mean that they are going to bankrupt farmers, buy them for penies on the dollar, and then make their farmers drive Lamborghinis.

  • holy shit... i never thought of that and that could very well happen!

bankrupt the farmers to buy all their equipment and land for next to nothing... then turn around and build an empire.
