@deadC4t25 Hey mate, The Z-2300 will play most of the bass in "Robbin season" except the note that goes down to 30Hz, the z-2300 will have trouble playing that low.

The Z-2300 system has a subsonic filter that is set around 35Hz to protect the subwoofer from unloading.

if you want better quality bass, take the sub out, disconnect the wires for the sub, run a wire through the vent port. then connect the wire runing in the vent port to the subs wires in the box, then put the sub in backwards and screw it in, and connect the wire thats sticking out of the vent to the sub. its better because the box will then be bigger meaning deeper bass, and ive noticed when i took my sub out before the magnet atracted to the circle transformer in the box which effects da sub

Yes taking the driver out and inverting it will leave more room inside the box. BUT being that the driver of the z-2300 is so small i doubt you would notice any real world difference at all.

As for the transformer it's made of wire so of course it is atractive to the magnet. But the small electromagnetic charge that it produces has nowhere near enough power to effect the coil of the driver in any way.

dude if u want more bass in ur room. screw n glue some pieces of wood together,(make a box) make a hole for the port get a powerfull 15" sub n hook it up to a stereo.

For the port use a box building program like Win ISD, so you know how big (Also length) to make the port to tune it to the frequency you want.

Bass speaking, one 2300 is better than a 5500. The only real advange the 5500 has over the 2300 is an optical input and the fact it's 5.1 vs 2.1

You must be stupid, 5500 is better, Might not get much excursion, but its underpowered, But still the 5500 Amp gives out more rms then the 2300 (I think its 90rms more!) and the sub is 2" bigger, so thus might not excurse as much since the sub is still 60 watts underpowered, but will give out more bass because its a little bigger, which makes it move more air.. Seriously i'd buy a 5500, take the speaker out and replace it with a Longthrow High excursion 10" subwoofer.
