As far as success, I think that is a subjective thing. Kris & Adam are 2 different genres. That has to be put into consideration. Adam's genre has more selling power because it is more provacative as you can tell by the top songs on Itunes. AL is more like Katy Perry than Kris Allen is. Not on knock on AL voice, but I think most pop music is cheesy

It's a matter of opinion. I think Adam is an amazing talent no doubt about it, but to say he blew everyone out of the water is a statement only a die hard Adam fan would agree with. The fact that Adam is a showman and has a higher range then alot of singers does not make him better or more enjoyable. I happen to prefer Kris' artistic ability, musicianship, and genuine raw talent over Adam. It doesn't mean that I deny Adam's talent, I just prefer Kris' understated vibe and voice over Adam's.

@calarkie Adam is very genuine, and a fantastic artist and performer. I agree with your comments about Kris being "real, genuine,..." and I won't make a negative comment about his talent, as his style is just not appealing to me. I truly hope he has all the success in the world, as I really believe he is a great person. I only visited this due to someone posting a comment for this song. @calarkie I saw Adam in concert with my husband, who is now a fan. After succumbing to attending the concert, as it turned out, it was his 3rd favorite one in his life. In regards to Adam performing with authenticity, if you care to, please look up Talcvids on YouTube, and listen to Adam's performances of the songs, "Aftermath" and "Soaked," which are both phenomenal acoustic renditions he sings live at his performances. If you do so, you may change your mind about Adam being "genuine!"

As far as success, I think that is a subjective thing. Kris & Adam are 2 different genres. That has to be put into consideration. Adam's genre has more selling power because it is more provacative as you can tell by the top songs on Itunes. AL is more like Katy Perry than Kris Allen is. Not on knock on AL voice, but I think most pop music is cheesy

It's a matter of opinion. I think Adam is an amazing talent no doubt about it, but to say he blew everyone out of the water is a statement only a die hard Adam fan would agree with. The fact that Adam is a showman and has a higher range then alot of singers does not make him better or more enjoyable. I happen to prefer Kris' artistic ability, musicianship, and genuine raw talent over Adam. It doesn't mean that I deny Adam's talent, I just prefer Kris' understated vibe and voice over Adam's.

@calarkie I saw Adam in concert with my husband, who is now a fan. After succumbing to attending the concert, as it turned out, it was his 3rd favorite one in his life. In regards to Adam performing with authenticity, if you care to, please look up Talcvids on YouTube, and listen to Adam's performances of the songs, "Aftermath" and "Soaked," which are both phenomenal acoustic renditions he sings live at his performances. If you do so, you may change your mind about Adam being "genuine!"

Do you not think the performers on stage aren't hot with the lights beaming down on them? Come on Ryan... everyone was enjoying this great performance but you looked like a clown with the fanning of yourself!

He is absolutely amazing! I'm glad he won! Nothing against adam lambert, he was amazing too, but I like Kris's voice more. he has a more generic sounding voice where it would sound good in a lot of different styles of music. Thats talent for ya!

Ok Ellen, we know your Beloved Adam didn't win and wasn't there to perform but could you possibly show a little more love for Kris? Honestly, she was about to do hula hoops over Aaron Kelly and she acts like Kris is... the leftovers? I'm so sick of the judges throwing Kris under the bus the entire season of A.I. 9. They refused to mention his name one time because OMG, the almighty Adam was the fave and Kris stole the show. It's ok Ellen if you're both gay, we don't care!

@calarkie Oh, please- I didn't know he performed on the AI finale-I enjoyed this, but I have to say your comment is so ridculously offbase & biggoted-Sorry to burst your bubble, but Kris is NOWHERE NEAR Adam's talent, but he's still good. Adam is GREAT though! The praise for Adam during AI was because he blew EVERYONE out of the water & still cannot be vocally & artistically matched-I didn't even notice Kris existed until "Ain't No Sunshine"-Adam continued to blow me away EVERYTIME, not just 1x.
