Actually this is how he would do it. Jesus on earth really was what the Jews were looking for but didn't actually see. The Jews thought the messiah would be a worrier that would free them from Roman occupation. He was a worrier, what they saw was Jesus praying over people and casting out demons but they weren't seeing the spiritual battle. Jesus does fight off demons, in revelations hes saw as a man in the full armor of God. Your looking at an earthy battle, this is the spiritual battle.
