well, noel never really hated the original version of Wonderwall. It's Liam who hates it. It's quite true that Noel was blown away when he heard the Ryan Adam's version but noel has been singing his songs more mellow and softer nowadays. For instance, Don't Look Back in Anger or Slide Away sound very different from their original versions now. And in my opinion, as much as I like Ryan Adam's wonderwall, that version never does justice.
He put loads of sad interpretations on a lot of his songs...
You can't honestly say this sounds like the Ryan Adams version, the feeling and emotion; even the guitar work is completely different and far more powerful.
Noel should have sung wonderwall since the beginning love this acoustic version :)

@blehh85 Listen to the vocal line, vocal phrasing and intonation, even the guitar playing style is different...he is not mimicking Ryan Adams.

i phrased that badly
he isnt exactly doing the Ryan Adams version
but he said it himself that this version was heavily influenced by it
yes i know it is not the same thing
but listen to him do the acoustic version when the song first came out, then again after 2004 when the Ryan Adams version came out
and the modifications to the acoustic version are so drastic that it really sounds like he just altered Ryan Adams' version of it to suit himself

This version has more soul and emotion but it isnt very polished, he deviates from the melody too much. Liam's version is more clean.
