Prosperity teachers have twisted things around. yes God wants His people to prosper and do well in life, BUT THEY'VE MADE A BUSINESS OUT OF PROSPERITY AND TWISTED THINGS AROUND TO MANIPULATE MONEY FROM THE GULLABLE. They teach that all you have to do is sow your seed(to their ministry of course), and GOd will give you victory. Yes, they make it seems that Go'd's blessings have to be bought(through them).

Beleive it or not bro, every gospel preached in this present church age is a prosperity gospel of another Jesus. Just like a 12 lead EKG, it just depends on which of the 12 angles of the EKG you view the heart from. If they're not grabbing money & stuff from God by force they are seeking a rapture to heaven without the sacrfices of rightiousness (works) Psalm 4: 5, or prying his hand claiming things they like from the bible & making it theirs.

im atheist and well my mother is christian.. she just turned awhile ago but it hasnt been nice.. she doesnt have money cuz she gives it all away to the church and shes kicked me out of the house twice already cuz i have told her my beliefs.. the church she goes to have their own tv and radio station and are always asking for even more money and i see the poor people who do believe in god give everything away and it saddens me. idk wat to do,nothing i guess..just let my mother feed a greedy fake

@onerscribles - Because you say you do not believe in God, I am not sure that this will bring much comfort, but because I do know my God, I believe the every act of selflessness and giving that your mother does, toward God, will be credited to her once she sees Jesus face to face. God judges your mother based on her actions and her heart, and will also judge any minister based on their actions and heart. Your mothers actions of giving are a sign of her heart and her belief and trust in God.

Some years ago Jesus came to me outside the church and saved me. A year after my encounter, all I did was read the bible night and day. I then ventured into mainstream church. The prosparity bible. It took hold of me. I lost my peace everything in my life was distroyed because I beleived a lie. I weep bitterly night and day for mercy, He restored me. Prosparity bible is witchcraft. It almost took my salvation. Repent its another Jesus Who ever preaches bible different will be eternily cursed.

Secondly, use the same measure on yourself when saying that I use "bits of scriptures here and there", because you did the same exact thing by quoting 1 single verse from the Old Testament that has NOTHING to do with anything, and is completely taken out of context..... AND THEN you use that 1 single verse and call it the GOSPEL! Your "prosperity" gospel.

Telling someone else to stop doing something when YOU yourself are doing that same exact thing is being a hypocrite.

What we are told to do - is to Trust YHVH .. that means if He sends someone our way to help - we help. Aren't we meant to be the ones living by faith??
