    Cheers

    Chris Isaak

  • this is amazing in so many ways.

  • The flag makes sense. We all speak it here, after all.

  • Seriously great music! Love him.

  • oh my god!! i loved it!

  • your not mad cause this song is catchy but I dont like the live version more than the regular version

  • this is th 100 th time watchin this!!!!!!!!!!!

  • WTF , with the bass player, I know its their song and they can change it if they want, but I play the bass and I can play this songnbetter than him.... I mean is not like the original song :( , but anyways morrissey, always so good at everything

  • Stop bitching !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 16 ppl have no taste for music

  • Nice song, good times!!!!

  • sounds more rockier than the studio version. love it!

  • Guitars are terrible. Let's be honest. And the bass has no swing to it. Morrissey does a good job, though.

  • Gotta say he is one, if not the best song writers I have ever heard. Saw him in Miami Beach back in 1997 and the show was great! I don't care what kind of music you're into, this guy/Smiths were incredible in their time and still are today. I wish today's youngsters would listen to some of his lyrics, maybe it would put some substance into today's society.

  • @RajWireman I agree with you that he is really talented, I'm a big fan of The Smiths and Morrissey. I'm 26 tho, my brother is 19 and he doesn't listen to this things, and I thinks it's normal, things change, taste changes too.

  • @RajWireman I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOUR COMMENT...!

  • Brilliant. Still MEGA all these years later.

  • you could,nt play that with one guitar.impossible.

  • One of the greatest songs ever

  • Morrissey could sing to a triangle and he would still be brilliant.

  • There seems to be a lot of people here who hate this version of the song. I plead you - bear with it. I promise it will grow on you. You'll come round to understand what they were going for. Trust me. I hated it for a long time before, one day, it hit me - this is the best version of the song out there, studio or live. rant over

  • Whats with all of the hate? This was great! if you don't know by know Moz usually changes his music up every time he performs on TV shows... XD

  • was neil diamond selling his clothes?!

  • what does he say at 2:00 and

     on ?

  • Yuk moan head on hi

  • TERRIBLE, WTH

  • Oh god... This sounds absolutely HORRIBLE!

  • ORGASM AT @55 DAMN MORRISEEYS PERFECT MOANS AND GOD WHAT A SEXY LOOK....Just sayin

  • Love him..but too fast...

  • His voice sounds AWESOME

  • Love Morrissey, have for 21 years but this is lame. Johnny Marr.... where the fuck are you mate?

  • Union flag is upside down.

  • wassup with morrisseys shirt?

    fuking weak haha

  • this version does the original bassline no justice at all.

  • Good God, Vini Reilly must have really enjoyed hearing his sumptuous guitar lines being absolutely murdered.....

  • @Rich27014 According to Street, Reilly was a musical snob and refused to play Suededhead.

  • @Rich27014 fresh sounding nonetheless.............

  • One of the few times I prefer a live version over the album versions.

  • what an icon morrissey genious

  • best morrisey song hands down.

  • He is such a beautiful man..... I love you Morrissey!!!!!!

  • LOVE the shirt Moz, gorgeous - he is sex on legs!

  • Comment removed

  • i don´t understand the lyrics. someone can explain to me???

  • eargasm!!!!!

  • He'll outlive us all!!!

  • That guitar sounds terrible...

  • @samsblues ??? just maybe, perhaps it was meant to sound like it sounds?

  • @djscreaming possibly, or maybe i just miss Johnny Marr

  • Beautiful singing, think I almost prefer this to the original!

  • Fantastic!

  • gets my pulse racing...love mozza!!! x

  • That is the worst shirt of all time, and kudos for wearing it!

  • Vini Reilly.

  • So that your learn something and potentially: appreciate it!

  • 15 people haven't had a good lay

  • Ah, dear svengaligraves, one must ask why you sniff around these parts. Maybe you are looking for some gay sexual moments yourself.? Why?? It is blatant..... Before you get giddy with you keyboard, consider this, I am very male, love the wife, dont crave males, but that is a small matter. Work it out instead of setting off hand granades.

  • bestial presentacion genial

  • GOD ... MUSIC FOR DEPRESSED FAGGOTS! FUCK YOU SMITH AND MORRISSEY FANS. YOU ARE ALL A BUNCH OF COCK SUCKING HOMOS. BET YOUR FARTS STINK OF CUM.

  • @svengaligraves13 Why do you come here? when you know it makes things hard for me?

  • @svengaligraves13

wow, calm down dear :P if you don't like the music you don't need to listen, but believe it or not i'm here because i think morrisey and the smiths are bloody brilliant not so I can get insulted by twats like you. Oh and i'd like to see you do a better job then Morrisey, just sayin' :)

  • @svengaligraves13 go fuck yourself

  • Ok, Ok,

So Marr did some good work with THE THE, but not much though eh?

And he did some good work with Kirsty MacColl, but obviously that did'nt last either!

Moz will always be the only man that matters.

  • infectious voice

  • Marr sucks without Morrissey, Not the other way round,

Marr left for better things......?? Yeah Right, He has done Fuck All of any worth since the Smiths.

  • @TheWonderfulspam Generally I agree but he quickly seems to have chosen to move into the production side of things. I would say that I liked some of his work with 'The The'. For example listen to his guitar work on 'The Beaten generation'.

  • @TheWonderfulspam

"I've got a great idea...I might join The Cribs"

    Nice one, Johnny...nice one...

  • @TheWonderfulspam

What about the work with Matt johnson in The The, just look up the Versus The World Clips brilliant stuff.

  • @mrpepperman I also liked his work with Bryan Ferry on "The right stuff" and his contributions to Talking Heads final album "Nude".

  • The dogs bollocks

  • And the lead guitarist is more than good enough.....

  • the guitarists let morrissey down in this performance, they sound so empty and weak.

  • Its sad that on most Moz vids someone will mention Marr. Both were fantastic in The Smiths but come on guys, its ancient history now. Its even sadder that nobody ever seems to credit Alain and Boz for their brilliant guitaring and songwriting. Although they didn't write this, I find they play it here to perfection. Spence and Gary too. 5 legends if you ask me.

  • I have discovered I can't listen to this song any more...it makes me miss my ex-fiance so goddamn badly. We loved Mozzer together.

  • Ha ha, 3 guitars to do the job of 1 Jonny Marr, but Morrissey is still awesome.

  • @cymru980

Johnny Marr didnt compose or play on this track

  • @markmozmarr

yes thats the point I was making?? please read

  • @cymru980 - "Ha ha, 3 guitars to do the job of 1 Jonny Marr," Assuming you've figured out this isn't a Smiths song, so JM has never played it, there are only TWO guitarists in this video anyway, the other guy is the bass player, and there were two different guitarists on the original recording of Suedehead, and the Smiths had two guitarists (plus a bass player) during the period captured on the 'Rank' live album when they had five members.

  • @cymru980 Ummmmm. This is a Morrissey song not a Smiths song.

  • @betleia1 He/she must be clueless, mate.

  • @cymru980 One of those guitars is a BASS. LOL, you wanker.

  • @Fallen80sChild

    ha ha ha LOL!

even Sir Johnny Marr can't play 2 gutars and one bass at the same time XD

  • @Fallen80sChild But not much of a bass...

  • @cymru980 I know this eight months ago, but

    1. Learn how to spell Johnny.

    2. Johnny Marr WASN't involved in this song at all, and The smiths did have an extra guitarist. so even johnny marr had another guitars.

    3. it's a BASS, not a guitar. Technically yes, but still.

  • @cymru980 you have no idea..they are both equally talented and deserve great respect, irrespective of each other... moron

  • @cymru980 Obviously doesn't know that Johnny Marr played multiple layers on recordings but only one on performances -.-

  • @cymru980 2 guitars...and they are playing the role of the keyboard from the studio version

  • Wow, very very well played! Great version, thx 4 uploading!

  • Some people should never die, Mozz is one of them.

  • Just look at that Monumental Quiff! lol

  • PHUCK dat shirty I wants dat my precious!!!

  • this, this is what original is all aboot <3 and love the top too :3

  • Still it was a good lay, good lay, good lay . . . . . . . classic, wish I had written this song describes perfectly a best forgotten relationship I once had with a certain bunny boiler.

  • genial:D!!

  • Sounds like there's a chode down his throat.

  • @Ex101 what is chode?

  • fantastic song

  • excellent performance!!

  • Ive seen him a few times in concert, ive been to many concerts many bands play live never has one had such a stage presence as morrissey.

  • This is just fucking awesome.

  • where can i get a shrit like that?? LMAO

  • this guy is a wanker

  • @readthisifyouaregay your opinion means loaaads....

  • @89cheapmonday thanks, appreciate the observation

  • @readthisifyouaregay

A name like that could only suggest you're gay.

  • i think that he is a fucking gay but still one of the best singers toghether with ian curtis

  • Ace band backing him here

  • POP AT IT'S MOST MANCHESTER.CRY BABY OR MISUNDERSTOOD POET,THIS GUY INFLUENCED EVERYONE WORTH ANYTHING FOR 20 YEARS.

BTW...best ending to a song EVER..."It was a good lay, good lay. It was a good lay, good lay."

  • Great song. Nice video. But that shirt?

  • Love this song...

  • It's a great song. Too bad that Morrisey is a fascist.

  • @unexpectedbirth Too bad you´re an idiot and just don´t get it.

  • fuck me talk about butchering the lead gutair, not even close to a Marr or Gannon

  • @artfuldodge: Amen. That guitar is a butchering.

  • moz at his best! " your arsenal"

  • 14 stupids

  • Ted asshole

  • legend, i cant think of the world without him , singers come and go, but theres only one and always will be only one morissey...destiny...

  • Comment removed

  • My God, I can't get over this guy...I'm pathetic...and hungover...listen to my band and tell me I'm not obsessed...(search under "swoonmethod")...I'm still sick and still docked...no sea here, just a lake. KD

  • terrible guitar.....

  • Moz is the man!

  • Nice shirt, twat.

  • @rorydragula

    nice gay, gay

  • Morrissey is the best. Simply the BEST.

  • THANKS SHARE!!

  • beautiful performance. but I hate this glooming shirt phase.

  • love!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • What a gem!!!! One of the truly greatest lyricists in music history, in my opinion! I'm already dreading the day that he dies! Morrissey, please live long whether you're prosperous or not!

  • @mfarriss

What?! Dies? Morrissey is immortal :D

  • you think its going to be a sketchy old recording and then his voice hits in and its pure warming genius

  • love this song :)

  • nah.. marr makes moz complete. there like bread and butter can't be but apart!

  • Morrissey is my HERO! But what the hell is he wearing?!

  • Couple of questions:

    1. Why does it take Morrissey 5 seconds to say three letters? At the 30 second mark, watch.

    2. Why doesn't everyone just call him Steve? Never got that.

  • @montyvox0510 Couple of answers:

    1. I guess it's something thats helps the lyrics flow bettter with the song.

    2. He hates being called Steve. It reminds him of his childhood, and he wasn't a very happy child.

  • actually this performance is lacking a little what the album version sounds like

  • are you stupid this is the best morrisey song there is if ands or but

  • mozmozmozmoz

  • i have loved morrissey for hmmmm yrs nd watched him live last night in france and hes still fab

  • One of his best solo songs, almost as good as The Smiths. Almost.

  • am i the only one who doesnt like this performance? im a massive fan of all of mozza's other jools performances, eg his 'there is a light' was just sublime. but i really dont dig this. sounds empty or hollow, something along those lines

  • @Madiman They seem to have removed the guitar arpeggios in the background or turned it way down, on the album the guitarist picks through the chords all the way through. But I'll say, Morrissey looks awesome!

  • Love this lineup !!!!!!

  • he was beautiful

  • Its like The Who meets The Smiths

  • yeahhh!!!

  • he is so beautiful & has such a sweet voice

  • WOW, the guitar arrangement on this version is unreal.

  • Happy (late) birthday to Morrissey. Te quiero Moz!

  • When was this done? That's pretty good for being LIVE.

  • @sirtinycreep It's not just due to a good performance from the band and Mozza but due to the fact that 'later' have a fantastic sound team and always get the levels right.

  • @samnninty I think Fleet Foxes would strongly disagree.

  • @samnninty You should've heard the Cribs on Later. Levels were shite.

  • @samnninty imho, this is one of the few performances on Jools that i can say the levels sounded good.

:P..jejeje

  • @golondrinaChilenaOO1 callate 1 rato weona

  • too...I mean...

  • An offbeat, enigmatic, sad Elvis Presley, that is who he reminds me of the most. I adore his music.

  • This was THE line-up, no question.

  • que buena version!

  • This is a great example of how Morrissey performs live! He is truly one of the best.

  • ahh que mas da el se puede vestir como se le de la gana
