I bet the car has more in it. I run between 13.9-14.1 in my 05 TL 6 speed. All I've done is put a K&N cone filter on the end of my stock tubing before the air box. I would love to supercharge it.

@types09 PART 2: ..without risk of blowing gaskets as TLs simply weren't made for forced induction - I think this problem may have been fixed by now as I've seen several videos of 3GTLs running at close to 400bhp at the whip (dunno how long they last as a daily though). Anyways, for comparison purposes, a 370Z (330bhp, 3200lbs, RWD) runs the quarter at about 13.2 @ 105mph, so uploader did a good job as his TL weighs slightly more but then again, has better grip off the line.

Besides on some cars the beginning of the red is where the rev limit is so obviously youd have to shift. The 01 Maxima has a rev limit at 6500 which is exactly where the tach turns red. So who is truly ignorant? Why not get some slicks or even semis next time you track and better your time.

@jbrooks870 The 3rd gen TL was rated at 270 hp when it first came out. Then it was rerated to 258 due to a change in testing procedures. The actual output of the engine did not change. Take a look at the 2006 TL in Wikipedia.

So from 270hp stock you lose 55hp from the crank to the wheels even tho its FWD...then at 327whp you only run a 13.2...thats pretty crappy and you might wana learn to drive better, its generally not recommended to bounce off the rev limiter multiple times, seems like ur 1/4 times could be quicker

@types09 PART 1: 3GTL weighs ~3450lbs. Type S is rated to 290bhp (give or take 2-3 bhp) while regular TL is 260bhp however 2005 TL had about 270bhp - uploader had TLS rims, NOT a TLS. Quarter mile depends on which source you look at, but most rate it mid 14s for TLS and mid 15s for TL. 2 and half second drop is pretty damn good considering his supercharger only makes 4psi. However I very much doubt it makes over a 100bhp more considering most people have trouble getting their TLs above 330bhp...

Go ahead, spin through 1st and snatch second early and bog down ;) as i blow past you. Hitting limiter allows you to get the maximum amount of speed out of a gear if you are spinning.

Also, TLs never came supercharged from the factory. Some dealers will install the Comptech supercharger and honor the warranty.

big d. The acura TL 2004-2008 all had 258 hp and nothing was done for torque steer. In 2006 the testing changed to more real life situations and the TL was said to in-fact have 258. BTW 13.2 is an OK time, it should run 12.8. The S/C is good for 60-65+whp depending on supporting mods and if the car is 6 spd or automatic.
