they actually killed 10,000 persians roughly, 45 persians each spartan killed at average.

thats not all true. i just finished a 20 page report on this. there only were 300 spartans, yes, but they had around 5,000 more greeks. on the last day, all but 1000 of the other greeks left. and leonidas could have left, same with the spartans. but they really ARE brave, chosing to stay and buy time for the retreating force. what they did was heroic, nothing short, killing around 22,000 (estimated) persians.

They wore extremely heavy armor, using bronze shin guards, helmet, arm guards, Round shields with an extra 4 inches of wood, they were covered in armor head to to toe. The only weak point was the eyes and a small part below the strap of the plate armour. some parts of their armour could weigh 80 lbs. I have been studying the spartan culture and warfare for 4 years now. So yes,they were extremely tough, but yet the most armored people of there time.

It actually is, the spartans actually did fight the persians, not with 300 against a million, but they fought with a way smaller force then the persians did, and they stoud their ground. Spartans where trained for fighting and purely for that, in that way its still based on actual events ;) The beauty about something being based on is that you dont know what is accurate and whats not.

Mhmm just my opinion but I don't think that this song suits 300 at all. It was the on the Soundtrack for the Scorpion King which did suit it very well as for the most part he fights alone, whereas in 300 Leonidas even says that "One weak link in the phalanx, and the formation shatters" so he relies alot on the spartans at his side.
