not true. Venom released Welcome to Hell in 1981, the first thrash/speed metal album... metallica's Kill em All was not released until 83 along with slayers Show No Mercy debut album.

You can consider em both. I do. It's hard to define many bands really as to what exactly they are. I mean, some like Slayer just stick out there as thrash. While Metallica -it depends on what era of them you listen to.

The reason Venom is more black metal than thrash is because of their satanic theme. While slayers's theme may be satanistic, they aren't pushing satan as much as venom.

true and not true... Venoms first record, Welcome to Hell was speed/thrash. the next album they released, i believe it was called Black Metal was their black metal album, and the first black metal album.

thats a demo album. even so it was released the same year as kill em all, which was an actual album. if your counting demo albums, metallica released mechanix in 81 or 82, at least a year before power in black
